Seemed Close Yet Far (2)

This was the first time he looked at the blackboard filled with the chemical formulas in the front and the teacher’s moving mouth without understanding anything.

Finally, he raised his eyes and swiftly looked outside the window.

Ruan Qingmu, who had been closing his eyes, unknowingly opened his eyes by coincidence. The two people’s gazes were caught off guard as they looked at each other through the window glass.

Ruan Qingmu was stunned before suddenly smiling. He stretched his hand and pointed at the orange juice on Qin Yuan’s desk.

Qin Yuan stared at his gleaming eyes and inwardly clenched his teeth.

He suddenly picked up the bottle of drink and seemed to be irritated as he gulped the drink down. He finished the orange juice in one gulp and threw the bottle back on the desk.

The running class’ students scurried along the corridor like locusts when the bell rang. Someone ran to Ruan Qingmu’s side and gave him a self-effacing pat on the shoulder. “Boss, your blackboard bulletin painting is excellent. The eighteen styles are very awesome!”

After finishing, they instantly ran away.

Ruan Qingmu didn’t even recognize who that person was. Feeling annoyed in his heart, he almost wanted to go and kick that person’s feet. He was just about to walk away when someone firmly grabbed his arm.

Qin Yuan expressionlessly dragged him to the classroom with a cold face. “Will you stop it?”

Ruan Qingmu was baffled by his dragging. “What’s wrong with me?”

He just wanted to struggle, but Qin Yuan pushed him down on his seat.

The tall youth looked down overbearingly and his palm pressed firmly against Ruan Qingmu’s shoulder with great force. “Was it enjoyable to talk nonsense during class? Was it amusing to be punished standing? Or was it very impressive to stand in the corridor like that?”

Why couldn’t this person know how to cherish his own body?!

In front of him, Class 2’s study representative, Li Jianquan, looked back at them in surprise.

What happened? Didn’t they already have a groundbreaking relationship? What were they doing fighting again now?

Boss Qin was also truly weird. This was the shifting class and they didn’t appoint any class monitor. It didn’t seem appropriate for him to be this overbearing, right?

The opposite was a ruthless person that could beat Liu Jun to a bloody pulp at the drop of a hat!

Ruan Qingmu, who was pressed into his seat, cocked an eyebrow; there was a subtle expression change on his face.

He reached out a hand and indifferently pulled Qin Yuan’s hand off his shoulder. His pair of peach blossom eyes slightly narrowed.

“Qin-shaoxia, isn’t your –” he steadily looked at Qin Yuan, “controlling a bit too broad?”

Qin Yuan’s sword brows slightly rose as he looked at him and his thin lips pursed tightly.

Ruan Qingmu lazily took off his earphones and reinserted them into his ears. “That’s enough. You have so many affairs to be dealt with during the day, might as well control the masses in your class more, right?”

As Qin Yuan looked at him, his icy cold face grew colder and colder.

“You weren’t able to understand the chemistry lesson, isn’t that right? If you don’t understand, you can ask or make up for it. It’s good even if you only listen to a bit of it.” He lowered his voice. “It’s the most unwise thing to waste your time for nothing.”

Ruan Qingmu smirked as he looked at him, reached out, and pointed at his ears, making an ‘I can’t hear anything’ expression.

Qin Yuan couldn’t bear it anymore. He reached out a hand and took off his earphones. “You listen to songs every day, even during and after class. You…”

Ruan Qingmu raised his head. After looking at him for a long time, he unhurriedly unplugged the earphone cable from his phone and casually tapped on the play button.

The English listening content came out loudly through the phone’s speaker; it was pleasant and clear.

The peeking top students all around exchanged glances and held their breaths.

Qin Yuan listened to the strings of English read aloud in amazement, his hand grabbing the earphone cable freezing in mid-air.

Ruan Qingmu looked at Qin Yuan and his voice was very soft as he said, “Do you ever believe in me?”

He never did in the past and also didn’t now.

Even if there had been a moment of raising their wine cups under the tree and silently sitting face-to-face to drink, even if there had been a moment of sympathy and regret over not being able to go the same way, in the end, this person was still skeptical about him.

Qin Yuan stood there in a daze, looking into his clear and sharp eyes without saying anything.

Ruan Qingmu laughed and there was even a bit of subtle self-depreciation in his eyes. “So you see, what your class teacher said was right in the end, wasn’t it?”

Although he didn’t finish his sentence, Qin Yuan knew what he was going to say in the first place.

In the end, good students and bad students couldn’t be friends.

They basically could never have a tacit understanding since they didn’t walk the same path.

Saying that the most important thing in friendship was the heart, but the distance between the heart sometimes seemed close yet far at the same time.
