73. First blood [4]: Lustful Demon Vs Tactful Hunter.
While Lara, Lisa, and Anna were struggling in fighting their respective opponents, Logan wasn't having a good time either.

One after another explosions were covering the entire Selva village.
Trees were turning into ashes while the surroundings were covered in dust.
"Damn it!" Logan was frustrated.
He was wielding the Gazel's sword and was trying to understand his opponent instead of revealing his powerful attacks immediately.
He suspected that Robert would've come prepared, thus he did not attack recklessly, and just as he expected, his opponent was on a completely another level.
'I just wanted to fuck my women peacefully! Why is this asshole this fucking strong?!' This was Logan's only thought.

"Finally we meet." Robert, the man clad in a black suit said while tiding his sleeve, his face well hidden behind his veil.
His suit was elegant, similar to a suit from western fantasies, and had some fashionable ancient symbols imprinted on it giving him a gothic look.
The symbols were magic runes of basic or intermediate level. According to the system, his clothes worked as a primary shield and had a regenerative ability.
Just like Robert's appearance, his personality was full of mysteries. Not like Logan expected anything easy.
'A tough nut to crack.' Logan was cautious of Robert.
Out of everyone present, he was the only one who felt the effect of the [Mirage] and was even able to break it.

This was the first time Logan was facing a unique creature, particularly a half-elf associated with the creatures of darkness.

In the middle of the forest, Robert stood with his hands in the pockets of his suit, which showed either his confidence or his openings.
"Aren't you attacking? Lost already?" His voice sounded rather amplified and mocking. His face was covered under a veil, and there was a hat on his head, because of which his expressions were well hidden.
Instead of answering him, Logan took a minute to appraise Robert, put some mana in the Gazel's sword and pulled it out from its scabbard, and dashed at Robert to kill.
"Tsk you are boring, little demon!" Robert said under his breath and put a hand on his mouth as if he was yawning.
Suddenly, Logan's body became a blur and after a few seconds, his body was in front of Robert with his sword raised above.
Swoosh!
A swing of Logan's sword pierced through Robert's head. Looking from afar it looked like Robert's head was decapitated from his body.
Thud.
The battle seemed to be ended in a second.
"Like hell, this bastard will die this easily." Logan wasn't dumb either. He had seen a black flash before a moment his sword could touch Robert's body.
"You were expecting that, weren't you?" Robert said again, his voice this time carrying a tinge of excitement.
"Your magic is different, so I was expectant," Logan replied but did not waste any more of his time.
The more time he took to defeat this monster, the more uneasy he felt. Not to mention the leader of Black Lotus who might come biting his ass.
'First move.' Logan thought of another movement and lunged.
His movements were weird and this surprised Robert.
Jumping from left to right while crouching and running with his hands like scissors, this move looked weird, to say the least.
"Ha!" he shouted and rotated his body.
Robert thought of stopping Logan's attack and doing a counter, but he failed since the angle of the blade changed suddenly.
Robert failed to see through the feint Logan had given, but this type of swing was no threat to him.
His suit was more than enough to deal with this swing or so he thought.
Just as he expected, his suit got torn a little, but that did not last long.
"..." Logan saw that Robert's skin under his suit was fine and healed the scratch immediately after the runes on the suit glow.
"Did you think of killing me with such a half-ass attack?" Robert mocked.
'Expected nothing less.' This wasn't even the begging since both were testing each other.
Although he couldn't see it under the veil, he could feel a weird smirk on Robert's face.
Robert's eyes were stuck on Logan as if he had found a fun toy.
"...Now." Suddenly Logan heard something from behind.
For a brief moment, everything stopped before Logan's world turned upside down.
"Eh...?" Logan was confused.
'I am doomed.' Even before he knew it, Logan had a cold blade near his throat.
Using that brief, Logan raised his hands to save himself.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
He was hit with the blunt side of the blade. Unlike all of his previous battles, he did not scream since his pain receptors did not react.
Logan was a demon and to make a demon feel pain, one must use anything with a holy or light element inside it.
Bang! With a loud sound, he crashed to the ground.

"Kheuk!" Logan spat blood but got up instantly.
Just when Robert was on his back foot, Logan took the initiative and attacked. It was Logan's turn to beat him. Robert received all the blows from Logan, however, it wasn't working.
Robert's agility was Logan's concern, he dodged all of Logan's attacks with ease.
There was something weird about his agility, sometimes his speed was too fast and sometimes it was normal.
'As if he is taking power on lease from someone.' Logan thought and something clicked inside his mind.
"Whoa!" Just when Logan swung his sword again, he was met with an invisible barrier.
'What's this?!' He was baffled.
'Dodge or die.' Logan heard a voice in the back of his mind and ducked.

The wind blew above Logan's head and the traces of a blade remained over his head.
"Fuck." Logan could not grasp.
He was fighting with Robert and even before the main fight started he found himself losing.
It was as if...
"Domain..?" Logan said those words and everything started clearing.
"As expected... You know a lot of things, don't you?"
"..." Logan did not answer Robert's question.
After the test of the Gazel's sword, Logan had thought about creating a domain.
But Robert's domain wasn't anything like that of Gazel's. What Robert did was similar to a domain, but his powers were unstable.
And the reason for this instability was...
'Creature of shadows!'

Robert was a creature of Shadows.
Because of his unique bloodline, he could not create a stable domain.
It was evening time, and the shadows were disappearing.
"Now that's interesting!" Robert said aloud while Logan remained stoic.

Suddenly the air turned heavier and the pressure released from Robert's body also increased. Before Logan could even react, his neck was grabbed by a strong hand.
Was it Robert's arrogance or confidence, it was unknown, but this move was a bad move.
"Demon... Tell me everything you know about Domains..." For some reason, he did not kill Logan but asked for something unexpected.
Logan was neither dumb nor weak.
Driving Robert's force away, Logan kicked him in the abdomen.
This was the first time, Robert felt pain.
"Kheuk!" His body shivered for a second before his suit glowed golden again.
However, this time the golden light seemed to be deemed earlier.
"W-what?!" Robert was astonished.
It was at that moment that he noticed the fabric of the suit was under some black threads.
"H-how?!" Robert looked desperate on the surface but, 'I must get all my answers from him!' his inner thoughts were opposite.
Pretending to be weak and dumb and then striking the opponent, an old move.
"Stop pretending already," Logan said and sheathed his sword.
"Hm?" Robert tilted his head, acting confused.
"I know you are a creature of darkness and have the ability to convert these shadows into your domain. Also-" Without completing his sentence Logan swung his sword backward.
"Argh!!" Suddenly a painful cry echoed.
"You were never fighting me, to begin with." Two fingers fell on the ground along with a stream of blood.
"H-how?!" This time Robert was truly astonished.
Never in his life did he expect someone to understand his biggest trump cards!
Logan was a viscount level demon. Thus his senses were far better than anyone else, however, Robert's skills were so stealthy that he was able to hide his presence for so long!
All thanks to his affinity!
Robert's two fingers had a tinge of mana, enough to pierce Logan's skin and threaten his core!
If not for Logan knowing this fact for a long time, he would be at Robert's mercy right now!
