I trained with Gina to be a spiritist while checking the magic that Flare and Shiva can use. The magic of Flare and Sheba seemed to be much more powerful than that of Huku and the others. With only Huku and her friends, we had a hard time against hard enemies, but with the addition of Gina and Sheba, it seems to become much easier.

"The magic we just used is basic, so from now on, please talk with Shiba carefully and think about the magic that suits you best.

"Yes, Master! Hmm, our own magic, that's kind of fun. Sheba thinks so, too, don't you?"

Gina smiles and talks to Shiva. Shiva's tail is fully open while waffling. They make a good team.

But now that Gina is an adult, I think it's time to go and destroy the nest. I was going to start today, but Sylphy is absent. I can't determine the location or the size of the nests, so I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to start destroying them.

"Now that we've checked the magic, Gina and Sheba, please join Sara and the others and make sure we're working well together. We're going to destroy the nest of the undead tomorrow."

"Out of the blue! Didn't you say you were going to go where there are fewer of them and get used to them, not the nest?"

That's sharp. I do remember that we talked about such a plan.

"That was the plan, but with the power of that magic, the undead are no match for them. We'll be with Sara and the others, so let's take them down and level up.

"But I've never seen the undead before.

...... Is it dangerous to panic in a nest? It's definitely creepy, so you might want to fight it at least once first. Even adults are afraid when they are afraid.

"Let's go outside the base for a bit this evening and kill the undead.

We've taken out most of the nests around the area, but I'm sure Bell and the others can help us find any zombies or skeletons that might be wandering around. Sylphy's off, so maybe Dine or Dolly can follow her.

"Uh-huh, it would help if we could fight them first. But I'd be embarrassed if I screamed, so I'd prefer if Sara and the others weren't here tonight, is that too much to ask?"

Gina says a little shyly. Older pride, I guess. She was taking care of Sarah and the others, so I guess she didn't want to be seen in an embarrassing situation. I know how it feels because it's hard for me to keep up appearances too.

"Okay. I'll let you guys get some rest and you can scream all you want."

"No, I'm just making sure ...... you probably won't scream."

He seems unsure even as he says this.

"Well, it's too dark to see much.

If he had night vision skills he could see, but he said he didn't have any skills, so he should be fine. I was happy when I learned the night vision skill, but I remember I was a little disappointed when I could see zombies clearly.

I encourage her appropriately and let Gina join Sarah and the others. It would be good to hear about Sarah's experience so that we can be prepared for it.

"Thanks for coming along with us for the training, Flare," Gina said. I don't have much else to do, so you can go play with Belle and the others.

After I said that, Flair made a happy face, then he made a face that said, "Oh dear, I can't help it. Maybe it's a good thing to have a certain style to aim for, but it's going to be hard to learn it naturally. I have a feeling that it will eventually become normal under the influence of Bell and the others.

*****

"Well, can you and Belle go look around and see if there are any zombies or skeletons around?"

"Yessir!" "Coo-coo-coo!" "Yessir!" "Coo-coo-coo!" "What? Huh?"

Bells salute with a crisp salute, and Flair, for the first time, is unable to keep up with the flow. This is what happens at first. The belles, noticing Frere's confusion, gather around and start talking with their heads together.

After a while, the belles stare at me. ...... I guess that means I have to say it again?

"Well, can you guys go look around and see if there are any zombies or skeletons around?"

"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Satisfied that their voices were in unison, each flew off in a different direction." They were saying "Kyousou-", so it seems they are competing to see who can find it first.

Since the search for the treasure chest in the labyrinth, the competition seems to be fun, so this was a good opportunity for them. Belle would be the first one to find it if she could use her wind detection, but she doesn't seem to use it at times like this.

"Wow, Flair, you're getting along so well with the others so quickly. That's a good thing!

"Yeah, I guess so."

Deanne nodded her head yes or no. It's good to be able to get along so well so quickly. As we get older, we have to consider the advantages and disadvantages. ...... no, I'm starting to feel blue. I can't help it if I remember Japan. Let's change my mind.

Gina, are you okay with the fact that we will be fighting soon?

"Uh, yeah. I'll be fine. Sheba's with me and Kikka said she can beat me. I can't be scared that Kikka can beat me.

His face is a bit drawn, but he seems to be in high spirits. I can't say that I'm too scared to try, even though Kikka can beat me with ease. I feel like I'm under a lot of pressure.

"Just calm down and ask Shiva and you'll be fine. Besides, she's very motivated, so I'm sure she'll be fine."

Sheba is standing by Gina's side like she's in good hands. She's a bit of a dog in this way. She's actually a spirit, but maybe her appearance influences her personality.

"Is that so? Sheba, come to my right hand if you're feeling motivated, or to my left if you're feeling not so motivated."

Sheba jumped into Gina's right hand with waffle-waffle energy.

"Ha, Sheba, you're motivated too, let's work together.

Gina seems to have calmed down a great deal, perhaps because she has felt Shiva's full of energy even though she can't see him. Maybe animal therapy works even if we can't see her. We wait for Bell and the others to come back, keeping a watchful eye on the area.

"Cue cue!

Rain jumps into my chest and says something like "cue cue cue. Without Belle or Tulu to translate for me, I can't understand what he's saying, but under the circumstances, I understand what he's trying to say.

"Rain is the best this time!"

Rain flapped his fins in excitement at my words. I think she's probably just happy to be "the best. I'll summon Belle and the others.

I summon the belles who have been out exploring. They surround Lane and praise him. Rain is in a good mood because of the praise, but don't forget the location of the undead.

"Rain, will you show us the way?"

Raine strikes a pose of a yessir and begins to move. He is followed by a crowd of people.

"Cue cue."

Rain looks in the direction of his fins and sees a zombie walking around.

"Gina, do you see that zombie over there?"

"Hmm, do you feel something moving?"

Things are so vague. Maybe we should get a little closer. Gina moves forward until she can faintly make out the zombie.

"Oh master, I see it!"

"Those are the zombies, so ask Sheba to take them out one by one. They move slow, so don't be in a hurry because you have plenty of time.

"Yes, sir. Sheba, fire a flaming bullet into the very front of those zombies over there!

That sounds like an explanation. Sarah and the others are communicating a bit more easily now, but it was like this in the beginning. With time, Gina will be able to communicate a little more easily.

Shiva shoots a fireball at the zombie on Gina's command. Just as it hits the zombie, the zombie's figure appears in the light of the flames, and the zombie's head is popped off. As I was thinking "Gross!", I heard a voice from next door saying "Wow! We must have seen the same thing. The zombie, realizing that it was attacked, came towards us at a slow pace.

"Gina, I want you to change the way you attack each zombie one at a time.

"Wow, okay."

The basic magic I had practiced during the day took down the zombies one after another. I guess zombies are no match for us.

It was no problem.

"...... Thanks to Shiva, but I killed the demon, didn't I?"

A spiritualist doesn't really feel like he's defeated his enemy. If they chant well, they may feel like they have defeated the enemy, but all they do is ask for help. I'm providing some magic power, but it's been stocked up little by little since I signed the contract. .......

Come to think of it, it's been only a day since we made the contract, so the stock of magic power is probably low. I guess I'd better finish the day by defeating the skeleton one more time.

"It looks like Gina and Shiva took down the skeleton. I guess we should consider Shiva as a party member and think of it as a cooperative effort, right?"

Gina nodded subtly. Well, you'll get used to it.

"Well, let's fight the skeletons next and call it a day. "Okay, everyone, go find the skeletons this time.

Bell and the others responded to my request with a salute, and once again, with a "kyousou! Who will be the first to come back this time?

"Master, skeletons move faster than zombies, right?"

As we waited for Bell and the others to return, Gina asked a question.

"Yes, they will run when we attack, so we need to give them instructions as soon as possible.

"Can't we just attack them all at once?"

If you attack everything, you won't be able to train. It's important to train to be able to quickly assess the situation and give instructions.

Most of the time you can just ask the spirits you have contracted with to defeat the demon, but there are demons that cannot be defeated with a single blow or without cooperation, so you need to be able to judge the situation at least a little bit.

"Okay, I'll try to fight with fire bullets and fire blades aiming at the magic stone.

He seems much calmer now that he knows that he can fight and defeat zombies. I was nervous the first time I had to practice.

This time it was Tulu who came back first. After praising Tulu and the others, we headed for the skeletons with Tulu's guidance.

.................. skeletons seem to be easier to defeat. Gina was in no particular hurry and easily defeated him.

"Master, skeletons move faster, but I think they are easier to beat. Why is that?

"Maybe it's because zombies are gross when lit by fire. Maybe it's a feeling thing."

"Ah, maybe. If I look directly into a zombie's face, I feel like my body will freeze."

"Well, you get used to dealing with zombies. So today's fight got me thinking that we should stop burning zombies. Outside they're fine, but in caves and tight places they might not be able to breathe."

If the fire spreads, Shiva will be there to control it, but if the oxygen runs out, ...... what? If we ask the wind spirits to bring us air, we'll be fine. But there's no need to go to the trouble of doing something dangerous. ...... What should we do?

"You're right, Master, it's dangerous in a cave. I'll be careful."

Gina nodded in admiration. ......She seems convinced, so that's good. Let's go home.
