After three days of collecting small fish and seaweed, washing, drying, and grinding them into powder, we finally returned to Izumi's house. I am a little worried about the state of the field. Once inside the walls, Belle and Rain made a suicide attack on the fields.

"I wonder if my eyes are showing!"

"Cue."

Belle and Rain also seem to be very curious about what happened to the seeds they buried. I was curious too, so I took Sylphy and Tulu to the field.

"Yuta! Welcome home!

I'm home. Deanne. Did you notice anything unusual?

"Nothing special happened, except a ghost flew in..."

Ghosts. It's a pain in the ass when they fly in here now and then, but there's nothing we can do about it. It's a good thing we can get rid of them right away.

No sign of him.

"Cue."

Bell jumped into my chest. She is disappointed that there are no sprouts. I pat her head and comfort her.

"Nomos said the sprouts should be here tomorrow. You can look forward to tomorrow. Tomorrow you might be able to see them sprout.

"Oh."

The tension seems to have returned. He jumps on Rain and they charge toward Tulu. It's nice to see the three of them playing together. Since Tulu doesn't talk on his own, Belle and Rain's aggressiveness seems to be working in the right direction.

"You're back. Did you make the fertilizer?"

"Yeah, do you want me to put it out here?"

"No. Put them out in the forest space. I'll leave it to Tulu.

"Hmm? It's a pretty big area, are you sure you can handle it?"

"He may look young, but he's still a spirit, this is nothing.

It's the appearance that's the problem, though. Belle is a little girl.

"Tulu. Nomos says, "Are you okay?"

Tulu nodded as Belle and Rain hugged her. It looks like a child and a dolphin playing.

"Okay, let's go."

Seeing Tulu nodding his head, Nomos moves quickly. He comes back and he's on the move. I haven't even seen the fields yet.

"Yuta. Get all the fertilizer and soil out here. That wall is out of the way now.

The wall bordering the forest space is stowed away, and the fertilizer and soil are taken out. The fertilizer and soil are so plentiful that five large piles have been created.

"Okay. Tulu. Bring in the soil from the field. Don't get the seeds involved where they are buried.

Tulu nodded his head, turned toward the field, and put his hand out in front of him, and the soil of the field began to move toward us. This is a fantasy. The soil of the field, the fertilizer, and the soil of the dead land all lined up in front of me.

"Okay. It's still too much for you to handle all at once. You'll have to divide it up as much as you can, mix it up, and pour it into this."

He nodded his head and pointed his hand at the pile of soil, and the soil of the field in front of him, fertilizer, and the earth of the dead land began to move and mix with each other. Belle and Rain are delighted.

It sure is amazing. The mixed soil is poured into the forest space. I am impressed by their skill in avoiding the forest fountain in the middle of the field.

After many repetitions, the space for the forest is filled with soil. The excess soil is moved to the field.

"Hmmm. That's pretty good.

Nomos praises Tulu. But this duo seems like a master and his apprentice. Sylphy and Dine seem to leave Belle and Rain alone, or maybe they have different personalities depending on their attributes.

"Tulu. That was great. Thank you."

"Wow!"

"Cue."

When I, Belle and Rain praised him, he blushed a little and mumbled a thank you. He looked like he would have been kidnapped if there were any shorty lovers there.

"Can I put this extra soil in storage?"

There was some soil left over from the fertilizer and the fountain, so I asked him about it and he said I could store it. The soil is stored and the wall is put back in place.

"Yuta! Tulu-chan, that was great!"

"Yeah. You did a good job. Rain is a low-level spirit as well. Can you do something on the same scale?

"Yes, it is. Water and earth are not comparable, but they have similar power. Now that we have soil in the forest space, let's make a fountain as soon as possible.

Well, okay, but are water spirits the type that are eager to expand their territory? The forest isn't even built yet, so it won't make a great napping spot. ...... seems to be expecting a lot, so let's get on with it.

"Okay. Are you tired Tulu? If you're okay, I could use a little more help."

I'm fine.

Thank you. I'll dig the canal, and you can help me clear the ground afterwards."

After confirming that Tulu nodded, he took out a shovel and dug a channel. I had a feeling that if I asked Tulu to dig a channel for me, he would do it easily. But I'll do what I can do myself. Otherwise, I feel sad.

After digging the channel, we fit the U-shaped rocks that we made extra for the pool. It's done. Hmmm. The spirit is great, but the pioneering tool is also a neat enough thing. I'm sure I'll never be out of demand.

When the rock blocking the water is retracted, the water flows through the channel into the forest spring. There are no trees in the forest spring. Tulu pulled me by the hand and looked down to ask me for a favor.

......Water the new soil.

"New soil ...... Oh, you water the soil you put in the forest space."

"Yes."

"Okay. Hey. Rain."

Bell was already blasting away on Rain as if testing a new waterway, so I called out to him loudly. Rain arrived with Belle on board.

"Hey!"

"Cue."

"I'm here for Rain this time. Rain. I need you to water the soil I put in the forest space. Can you do that until Tulu says it's time?

"Cue cue."

I said I'll take care of it.

"Please."

With Belle in tow, they head for the forest fountain. Rain squeals, and a ball of water shoots up and falls like raindrops. It's a scaled-down version of what Dine did. There is not much area to be sprayed. Tulu has instructed her to launch the ball of water over and over again.

Before I know it, Dine appears next to Rain and seems to be cheering him on. It seems that Dene is cheering for Rain instead of instructing him.

"Sylphy. Sylphy doesn't instruct Belle?

"Spirits don't do much in the way of teaching. They will help you if you are in trouble, and they will come to you if they don't understand something, but they don't take on apprentices like humans do."

"Heh. I see. I didn't expect you to be so strict.

"Well, we don't know when they become self-aware, and they are born in various types: human, animal, insect, and plant, so they may not be cohesive."

Come to think of it, Dine and Rain are water spirits as well. The variety makes it hard to put them together. That makes sense.

"Come to think of it, are the great spirits only humanoid? Sylphy and Dine are both humanoid, and Nomos is a humanoid, too.

I don't know why you put the word "just in case" in nomos, but it's not. There are great spirits who are not humanoid. I just know a lot of humanoid people because I'm humanoid.

"I see. I've been so busy living that I don't know much about spirits or this world, except that I've talked to Dineh a little bit.

I was so close to death. I couldn't afford it. I came to another world and I'm an elf. Dark elves. Beastmen. Succubus. Especially succubus.

"Oh, that reminds me. I'll tell you all about it on a night when I have time."

Please."

Now that death is far away, let's enjoy the things of this world. Ah. There's a lot of war. But there are peaceful cities, too. Not all of them are bleak. There's got to be places that are full of fun.

**

As night fell, I asked Sylphy some questions about the world, but she told me that we should talk about how to level up before that.

Don't look so disappointed. Don't look so disappointed. We can talk about the town once we have decided on a plan for leveling up. There's no point in going to level up as usual today, so you decided to take the day off. If you keep this up, you're just going to be slower and slower to get to town."

Indeed it is. We're going to go into town and get some good food. Soft beds. A little raunchy store. There's a lot of fun waiting for me.

"Yeah, right. I'll do my best. I thought we were gonna hit the nest."

"Yes. A nest is not a real nest. It's just a huge war zone or subterranean space where the undead who don't like the light of day have gathered."

"Hmm. It's not exactly a dungeon."

"Are there dungeons in Yuta's world? Even though it's a world without demons?"

"No, I don't think it actually exists, but it exists in my imagination as a story. If there are dungeons in my world, then there are dungeons in this world too. Are there dungeons in the land of the dead?"

I'm getting a little excited.

"There's no way. Dungeons lure people with treasures and expensive magical tools and eat their lives with lust. They can't be born in a dead land where no one lives."

A little too realistic and sad. The land of the dead is avoided by dungeons. It's a lousy place to be if your goal is to eat life.

The strong undead rule the comfortable underground space. It's a funny thing to say to the undead, but you're going to have to fight for your survival."

Surely the term "race for survival" does not suit the undead too well.

"I guess when you defeat a strong enemy, your level rises, too, right?"

"Yes, I do. It's easy. The bigger the hive, the stronger the undead, so let's start with the smaller ones. I'm sure it won't be a problem with Bell and the others, but you don't want to go to a big hive and suddenly have to deal with a bunch of strong undead, do you?"

"Certainly. I'd appreciate it if you'd take us through the steps."

"If it's a nest, we can go in during the daytime, so let's start working on it tomorrow.

"By the way. If you go to the largest nest in the land of the dead, called the Fool's Rift, you can raise your level all at once without having to do all the chores."

".................. I've chimed in, please."

It kind of moved me, but I don't want to see hordes of writhing undead if I can help it.
