It was time for dinner, and I was having a good time talking with Sylphy about the deviousness or justifiable retaliation. I still have a sandwich in my stomach, but let's go to dinner. It's good to be able to eat with a full stomach. I ask Belle and the others to stay at home and head for the dining room.

"Dinner?"

So not only Mr. Kark, but also Martha is in the cafeteria today.

"Yes. What's on the menu today?

"Ha-ha-ha. You taught me how to cook. It's a great drink, and the ale is selling like hotcakes."

I just taught him to grill over charcoal. Hearing Martha's laughter, all the adventurers who turned to look at us fell silent at once. Come to think of it, it's an adventurer's inn, so it's all adventurers. What's that? I feel awkward.

"What is it? Suddenly it's so quiet. It's a strange atmosphere. What's going on?

"Uh, Martha. You're probably surprised that I'm staying here. I've had a little trouble with the guildmasters of the Adventurers' Guild, and I think they don't like it because of the rumors that are going around. If it bothers you, I will leave the inn, so please let me know anytime.

"Didn't you say you were a new adventurer? How can a new adventurer get into trouble with Guilmouth?"

You seem surprised at the things I've seen. It's just like a new employee of a big company in Japan having a trouble with the president on his first day in the company. Yes. I'm surprised.

"Well, he doesn't like the fact that I'm a spiritualist."

"Oh, I see. I've heard of necromancers too. Are you sure you can stay here? You'll be bullied, right?"

Martha asks me worriedly. Don't worry. You've already been bullied.

"Ha-ha-ha. Don't worry. The guild has made it known to stay out of my way, so I don't think anyone will get involved.

"What did you do to get into trouble? What did you do to get in trouble?

Oh, no. I've sparked Martha's curiosity. She's thrilled about the whole thing. She won't leave until I explain.

"No. I was being harassed and I said something sarcastic and Guillmas got mad and we argued. Finally he asked me to show him the power of the necromancer, and I said, well, you shouldn't ask people to do things for you, and I said a few abusive words in return, and that's what happened.

"You. That's enough of a fight. I see. Is that why you're in this mood?

Martha shakes her head from side to side with a look of disgust on her face. I don't doubt her feelings.

"Yes. Well, I've also been called a cheater and an airhead, so I guess that's had an effect on me.

"What did you do, a crook? We don't have criminals staying at our place."

Martha's face is scary. If I don't do something, I'm going to get kicked out.

"I didn't do anything wrong. I got into a duel with an adventurer who got involved with me because I'm a genie... and in the duel, I physically threatened and defeated the adventurer who got involved with me, and the adventurers who didn't like that I took all their bets gave me a bad name.

"That's not all. You've been squeezing Carl and the others out of all their money, and you've been encouraging them to bet against you.

Oh, the adventurers we were told not to get involved with are getting involved. Is it the power of alcohol?

Did you do that?

"In the first place, Karl and the others forced me into a duel, and the loser was supposed to retire as an adventurer. But when he lost, he said he didn't want to retire, so we gave him a choice: retire as an adventurer or keep all his money. It's a terrible thing to make a person sign a written pledge and then refuse to retire if he loses.

"You dueled and wrote a pledge. What about the betting?

"He was complaining that the bet was not going to happen because no one was betting on me, so I just bet on me," he said. The only thing I did was to stop them from betting on me because I didn't like the atmosphere of betting on me, even though they were complaining that the bet was not going to be placed. Then Carl and the others, the ones who lost the bet, started calling me a cheater, which was very annoying."

"Hmm. You're strong despite your fragile appearance. I think you might be overdoing it, but that's okay. You can stay here."

Soft. That's what he said, straight out. Well, I guess I should thank you for letting me stay here.

"Thank you. But if it's to the store's detriment, you can always let me know. I have the means to fix it."

"Really? Well, we're in business. If things get dangerous, we'll kick you out. Until then, you just relax.

Thank you very much.

Hmm. I don't think a guy like you, Martha, would kick me out of here if he lost money. I'm going to be in big trouble if I don't watch carefully. I'll ask Sylphy later.

"That's all right. First we have to eat. Ale is on the house as promised.

Thank you very much.

As we sit down at a table in the cafeteria, the adventurers who had been watching us all look away. The adventurers who came to talk to me also refused to look at me. The adventurers seem to have decided to ignore me completely, and the noisy atmosphere returns.

"Aiyo. Hey! Eat well and hang in there."

Martha brought us food and ale. Looks like char-grilled oak belly is on the menu today. And this time, there's a heaping pile of sliced raw garlic on the side.

This is the third meal I've had at this inn, and all of them have a lot of garlic in them. Garlic power. Even in other worlds, its effects are said to be realized.

The first picture is a normal meal. The fatty taste and the slight peculiarity that remains are the same as ever, but the juices of the meat have increased, perhaps due to the charcoal fire, and the taste has clearly improved. The charcoal fire is amazing.

Next, sliced raw garlic is placed on top. Whenever the garlic cloves are crunched, the strong aroma and pungency of the garlic mingles with the oak belly, and it is wildly delicious. It certainly goes well with ale. It would be perfect if it were chilled, but I guess that's to be expected.

Cut a slit in the bread and stuff it with the meat and garlic. This is good. We finish our meal, alternating between meat and ale, and return to our rooms. Tomorrow is the beginner's class, and I need to be well rested and ready to go.

I'm going to have to get some rest and get back into the swing of things.

Entering the Adventurers' Guild, we continue to draw stares from the crowd. I ask the expressionless Ms. Eltina where the beginner's class is. She tells me where it is very curtly, so I head for the place.

When I entered the room she told me about, the newbie adventurers in the room stopped talking for a moment, but then returned to a normal atmosphere, ignoring me. They probably would have been annoyed if I approached them and talked to them. I'm tempted to give it a try, but I'd rather not play any senseless pranks.

After waiting for a while in vain, an adventurer guy came in. I think he glanced at me, but there was no further reaction, and he began to greet everyone.

I was so excited that I could not help but feel that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I had a vague idea of what to expect, but it was worse than I expected. Well, I gained some basic knowledge, and I didn't think it was completely pointless, but how about the fact that the instructor ignored the whole thing? Is it Gilmas's instruction?

Reasons to form a party. From the explanation of the dangers of going solo, the story evolved into the importance of human relationships and ended with the importance of respect for superiors. I was convinced that he was absolutely right. He must have had bad intentions, because he looked at me and grinned happily.

He didn't answer any of my questions, and during the practical training, he was alone in the classroom. No advice, just swinging a wooden sword.

We were in the same space, but I was swinging a wooden sword. A little further away, the same student was happily asking me, "Like this? No, that's the way to do it. A full class scene at .......... I don't envy you. I have Sylphy and the others.

I'm at peace seeing Belle repeatedly imitating me and swinging a wooden sword. A spirit swordsman in the future? I'm sure you're going to have a flood of fans. Not that I can see.

Tulu was happy, so I tried out some Engetsu-killing imitations, and I tried to avoid Rain and Tamamo when they tried to play with me like a cool swordsman. I wonder if this is how dads feel on their days off.

But you said your instructor was Seir, a B-rank adventurer. I don't remember his name, though it was probably Gilmas's instruction. I'll make him cry sooner or later.

After the beginner's class was over, everyone except for me went to the guild's bar for a party. I'm not invited, so I go back to the inn. Well, my heat for payback is getting a lot stronger when he's being so blunt.

"Hmm. "Hmm. That was messed up. What are you going to do now?"

(Yeah. I'll try the labyrinth first. I have food, so I'm going to try to break through the 50 layers. I'll think about my future plan depending on the result.)

I really wanted to take it easy and have fun while exploring the labyrinth, but I'm not going to settle down until I know that I'm going to frustrate the Adventurers' Guild to some extent.

"Are you going now?"

(Yeah. ...... No, I'll tell Martha first. She'll be worried if I don't leave without telling her. Can you tell me what's going on in the guild until we get back to the inn?)

"Okay."

...... Heh. Even though I know it's not very good, it's still irritating. It seems that the guild has been moving right after I signed up for the beginner's class.

I talked to my instructor, Seil, and the other newbies who were also planning to take the course, and they all agreed on the same attitude toward me. They were trying to ignore me.

Guilmouth, you looked busy, but I didn't think you'd go this far. He must have been very angry.

The guild is going to pay for the launch of this beginner's class. Sylphy tells me that they are having a great time making fun of me.

I'm sorry to hear that for a newbie adventurer. I think it's time to stop using the word "guffaw" as an understatement. I'll make them regret it. I went into the beginner's class knowing that I would be harassed, but I'm not going to accept that I deserve to be harassed. I'm so full of energy.

I really want to check out the nightlife and all, but I'm afraid that if I go to such places under the current circumstances, unfashionable rumors will spread. ...... Yeah. I won't settle for half-hearted regret. I'll have to add up the money I'll have to spend to postpone my fun. I'd like to push Gilmouth so hard that his hair follicles die. I return to the inn with even more motivation.

"Mr. Martha! I'm going to enter the labyrinth, and I won't be back for a few days, but don't worry.

Now you can enter the labyrinth without any problem.

"Huh. It may be none of my business, but don't push yourself too hard, since you seem to have the ability. Come back as soon as you think it's not working.

"Yes. I'm not going to push myself too hard, so I'm going to go out there and do my best.

Are you sure you're going to be okay?

I feel a little taken aback, but I've said hello and the problem is gone. Now it's time to explore the labyrinth. I don't know how far we can go, but since Belle and the others can beat an A-ranked demon by themselves, we should be able to go pretty far with Sylphy's help. ...... right?
