266 Entering the dark side

“Stay on the other side of the hallway and cover your ears. It’s not nice to overhear adults talking, little one. But remember to look for me if you see someone.” Vincent warmly said to the little girl.

Vincent wanted the girl to leave the office and not witness what he was about to do. Bringing the little girl into the office in the presence of such a dangerous man was already breaking the line. Vincent’s morals were already conflicting with the plan the more Demel Blackheart looked at the little girl weirdly.

However, Vincent was adamant about breaking his friendly salesman persona to stop Demel Blackheart from touching the little girl, even if he had to fail the plan and kill the nobleman himself.

“Okay, mister.” The little girl nodded and left the room. She closed the door, placed her back against the wall, and looked at the office door with her hands covering her ears.

A tiny tear appeared on her face while mumbling, “Bad mister was scary. I want kind mister to come out soon.”

[The plan is working better than we predicted. The horny pedo drank the potion, and now he is in a state of overdose and unquenchable excitement. His mind is fried with emotions he can’t resist.]

-It’s time for a dose of karma.-

[He who shall lust is he who shall lust until death stops his heart. By Kazumi, hehe.]

“You! What’s the meaning of this!? Why did you send my treat away?” Demel Blackheart angrily shouted after he watched the little girl leave the office and close the door.

.....

Vincent didn’t answer the Viscount. He stopped acting respectfully and changed his tone to an arrogant one. His smile straightened with his teeth barely visible, and his overfriendly arched brows now angrily frowned.

-Do you think this is enough?-

[Yes. Look at how he is sweating, anxious, excited, energetic, impatient, and now angry. The overdose is complete. Now your acting is what can end the nightmare for the poor women and girls.]

“I almost lost faith in humanity because of you these past few days. I... I don’t want to think what you have been doing up to this point...” Vincent loosely said as if he was a different person. He displayed anger and disgust.

“You dare speak like that in front of a Viscount! Who sent you here! Someone will need to pay for this betrayal!” Demel Blackheart became infuriated. He slammed his fists against the desk as his energy was overwhelming his reasoning. He had to use the energy somehow.

Vincent smirked and shrugged his shoulders as if it was not his problem. “Ohh, betrayal is it? Well, the Lionhearts gave me this request if that’s what you are asking. They hate the Blackhearts after all, hehe.”

Vincent changed the direction of the hate to someone, not in the room. He appeared to be planning something that wasn’t planned beforehand.

“But, hehe. I am an assassin that follows the smell of money, and I know you have a lot of that. Thus, I can cut you a deal, and I can kill the wife who was reported as kidnapped and is locked in a wardrobe.”

Vincent menacingly laughed while continuing, “I had my fun with her after I acted like a savior. Thanks for the treat by the way, hahaha. She was still pure, so it shouldn’t be adultery, haha.”

Vincent raised his hand in front of his neck. Then moved his hand with the thumb extended from one side to the other while saying, “I can end her life in a way no one can find out. I suggest you try something like an inheritance will and gain her shares after her unfortunate natural death if you know what I mean, hehe.”

Kazumi became surprised. Vincent was playing the part of an assassin and making a new plan they didn’t plan beforehand. Vincent was smooth sailing from one act to the other with no problems because the target couldn’t think straight to pick up any acting mistakes.

Viscount Demel Blackheart didn’t need to hear more to believe what Vincent was saying. He was suffering from what Vincent called death with no signs of murder. Sweat was already sliding from his forehead at these words.

“But why did you send the little girl out if you wanted an offer of money from me? I need her! Bring her back, and we can discuss business later!” Demel Blackheart asked urgently after he guessed Vincent could be bought with money like everyone else he met. Additionally, Demel looked as if he was about to go crazy.

Vincent glared at the Viscount, and his bloodlust started seeping from his body. “I follow my creed. Business first, pleasure later. That’s why I gave the little girl a minor mind-controlling potion. She will do and act how I please. So how about the business part. I love killing those I had fun with.”

Seconds passed, and the longer they were in the room, the more it became filled with suffocating bloodlust much powerful than the Viscount could handle. The weak-willed noble who never fought for his life couldn’t stay sane under pressure. The self-proclaimed assassin was like a grim reaper in his eyes.

“Don’t you think I could send an assassin after you if you intimidate me? Send the little girl back in, and I will let you go!” Demel Blackheart decided to threaten Vincent instead of accepting his demands.

The Viscount breathed heavily but what Vincent showed him was the appetizer. He closed his eyes and uttered, “Overheat.”

.

[Overheat activated.]

[Mutation starting to alter the host...]

[Mutation process finished.]

[Race altered to mutated human for its duration.]

.

Viscount Demel Blackheart shivered in utter terror. The more Vincent changed, the more intense the pressure of dread filled the office. The murderous intent grew potent after being enhanced by the mutation and its devouring nature.

Demel Blackheart felt his heart beating like a roaring engine while he witnessed the transformation happen with his two shaking eyes. To him, Vincent looked like a devil ready to end the world on just a whim.

“Your time is up!” Vincent spoke in a hoarse voice which horrified the Viscount even more.

Vincent raised his hands, clenched his fists, and struck both fists together. *Clang* The loud sound sent a shiver down Demel Blackheart’s spine, but the next words shook his entire soul.

Vincent puffed a cloud of green steam and menacingly said with his hoarse voice, “I Kill You Or Her. You Choose My Victim. But I Want To See Blood Today!”

Vincent looked at the Viscount with his soul-piercing shining eyes. The intensity and rage were enough to make the Demel Blackheart almost wet himself before fainting.

[Hey Vincent. Are you acting right now, or did you lose control and can’t hear me?]

-Totaly. I just want to take more from him legally before he unfortunately passes away. That’s all.-

[Ahh, great... Wait! Aren’t you still walking on the road to the dark side by scamming a dying bastard of a man?]

[Please give him a good scare, and let’s end this quickly. I’m not too fond of this vicious side of you.]

Kazumi became more worried as the plan progressed, and Vincent showed more aggressive behavior. She feared he might not return to the kind Vincent after this.

“I already have blood on my hands. Those guards didn’t die by themselves, hehe.” Vincent mistakenly blurted out with a menacing chuckle what he was going to tell Kazumi telepathically. He messed up.

[...]

“You killed my guards? I sent twelve of my most trusted men there!” Demel Blackheart couldn’t believe what he heard. He questioned a few people why his men suddenly stopped reporting after sending ‘Plan successful.’

Now doubt clouded his heart.

.

[1x Severed Alpha Brown Grizzly Bear Head (Rare Quality) summoned. x0 remaining.]

[1x Headless Alpha Brown Grizzly Bear Body (Rare Quality) summoned. x0 remaining.]

[1x Severed Mutated Arm (Unkown Quality) summoned. x0 remaining.]

.

Suddenly a large green object materialized in the air. Vincent grabbed the huge Alpha Grizzly Bear’s head with his strength and lifted it with ease.

“Say hello to my last victim. A clean-cut, I must say. I killed this Alpha Magical Beast with a single slash.” Vincent also summoned his arm inside the bear’s mouth. It fell on the desk after one good shake to instill fear.

“Ahh! So that’s where my previous arm went. I almost forgot I had to grow another one, hehe.” Vincent sarcastically joked as he dropped the bear’s head on the floor and picked his old arm.

Vincent waved with his old arm and then threw it on the floor, showing he didn’t need useless things while displaying a powerful statement that he is not a man to be trifled with.

However, the intimidation wasn’t over.

“Demel Blackheart. Advanced Mage. Age thirty-six. Stats meh. About two thousand mana with fire spells... well, you can’t fight me with spells then, hahaha.”

“Thus, I can snap your neck in a jiffy. Then I can enjoy that woman as a widow. Ahahahah! This is exhilarating! ” Vincent loudly clapped his gauntlet-covered hands like a lunatic assassin.
