Awa rushed over to a lot of Dullahans and shouted, “Quake!” before swiftly slamming her foot to the ground with massive force.
The ground shook and cracked. Nothing else happened. Awa had interrupted an earth spike from forming and harming her people.
The Dullahans became amazed at the appearance of her imposing and majestic dark armor with a shadow cape swaying from the gentile breeze. Awa had become the Dullahan of legends.
“I will open a passage. ” Awa said before jumping and disappearing from everyone’s view.
*Boom* An earth spike was destroyed a moment later.
*Swoosh* The cloud of dust dissipated with a single kick. Awa raised her hand and signaled her people to escape. “Escape. Now.”
Awa felt the ground tremble. She jumped and disappeared once again before appearing between two injured Dullahans.
“Hold tight.” She said before leaping forward, and an earth spike emerged.
Awa felt the ground tremble once more. She moved her gaze and flinched at the view of a Dullahan getting impaled by an earth spike rising from the escape route she opened. Everyone was trapped inside once again.
Awa felt immense anger. She glanced at the injured Vincent and shed a tear. “I will distract that monster and find a way to get you out.”
Awa turned around and jumped without uttering a single word to Vincent, her parents, or her people. She disappeared from their view.
One of the tactics she learned was that a distracted enemy would not be able to attack allies. Thus, Awa hoped her people and Vincent would not be the target of more earth spikes.
