“She’s been in there for an hour. How come I’m still not hearing anything? When will the children come out?”
“Third young master Jun, please don’t be hasty.” The chief wiped the sweat off his forehead. He was certain that he would get a heart attack if his collars got pulled another time.
“It’s only been an hour. Most of our patients need several hours before the children are crowned. Plus, your wife is rather skinny and she is pregnant with twins. It is impossible for this to go quickly.”
On the side, Quan Zexi said, “Can you stop asking every two minutes? I am already nervous! You’re really planning on killing me here today aren’t you?!”

Of course, this “longer time” only felt long to him.

Jun Yexuan’s knuckles were now white. Every time Qiao Qing screamed, his heart felt like it had been sliced. He so very much wished to be in there on her behalf.
No other time in his life did he feel this torturous. He tried to comfort himself and tell himself that the old granny from years ago had cured Qiao Qing and she will for sure give birth smoothly. However, his imagination kept on going out of control.
After some time, Qiao Qing’s scream went up an octave.
That heart-wrenching scream made everyone in the hallway shudder. Jun Yexuan exploded.
He once again grabbed onto the sweaty chief, “What happened?! How’s my wife?! Is she okay?!”
The chief had aged several decades by now.
Before he could speak, Qi Yusen glared at Jun Yexuan, “Shut up! You jinx! Qingqing will be fine!”
The chief’s white robe was now soaked with sweat. His heart felt very stressed.
Despite this, he continued to comfort Jun Yexuan, “Young master Qi is right. She is a blessed woman looked after by the gods. Nothing will happen. It is normal to feel pain when giving birth. And it is normal for that pain to increase as time goes on. Third young master, please do not worry.”

He stared at the door and silently wondered if Sang Wu also went through this much pain when giving birth.
That thought made him hate her a little less.
Though that woman left him, she had the heart to not abort their child.
