“That’s good.” Gong Yi’s gaze never left Qiao Qing – his gaze seeped with the confidence that he would claim victory.

Once the group reached the golf course, employees came and handed them the clubs.
Another young man said, “It’s not fun if we aren’t being technical. Since there are so few of us, we won’t follow the tedious group rules.”
“Let’s just divide ourselves into two teams and play 1v1. Let’s do 10 holes and we’ll compete based on how many holes we make in.”
“Me, Haozi, Huanhuan, you guys are one team. Brother Gong, Xizhou, and Ms. Qiao, you guys are one team. That’s good since Xizhou said he’s a fan of yours. I’m sure he’s more than willing to play with you.”

Gong Yi didn’t want any more rejection from Qiao Qing and nodded.
Mo Huan however, decided to speak, “Ms. Qiao, do you really know how to play golf? If you don’t, it’d be best if you don’t go above your head.”
“Though golfing isn’t like equestrian, which is solely a rich person’s sport, it’s still not a very common sport.”
“I know you’re the granddaughter of the Qi family, but you’ve only been accepted recently.”
“Based on what I know about you, you’ve only lived in a small city. Have you ever gotten the chance to touch golf?”
Qiao Qing ignored her. Gong Yi however, appeared cold, “Mo Huan, you better stop crossing the line.”
Beside Mo Huan, the normally energetic and happy Lin Miao, said, “Huanhuan, what’s wrong with you today?”
“Exactly. Why are you targeting my Master Feng?” Meng Xizhou said, “Even if you feel like she’s not good enough for Gong Yi, you shouldn’t be so aggressive.”
“I’m not targeting her. She was the one who didn’t want to play and I think it’s because she doesn’t know how to. I’m thinking on her behalf.”
“If she doesn’t know how then she should let us know. It’s okay for her to drop out. If she overestimates herself and goes above her head, then that’ll be embarrassing. Why do you guys think so lowly of me?” She then sighed, “I was blind for trying to be nice. Who goes first?”
Gong Yi said, “You guys go first.”
Lin Miao smiled, “Sure.”
He then glanced at Cheng Hao and Mo Huan, “I’ll go first.”
He picked up a wedge.
Lin Miao got six in out of the 10 holes. Gong Yi got in nine out of the 10 holes.
Meng Xizhou whistled, “Brother Gong is brother Gong after all! Only one didn’t get into the hole! Even that one got close to the hole and then barely missed!”
The way Mo Huan stared at Gong Yi was full of admiration. There was also a trace of infatuation.
Gong Yi didn’t think much of it and subconsciously looked over to Qiao Qing.
He thought he would at least get some respect from Qiao Qing.
Maybe not even respect, but at least a “not bad”.
What he saw however, gave him a stroke.
