The grandma glared at them, “What is it… You think I’d hurt her?”
Jun Yexuan and Qi Yusen didn’t speak but it was obvious that they were worried.
“This girl knows medicine. She can test for poison however she wants.” The grandma looked at Jun Yexuan’s stank face, “If I want to hurt her, why would I save you?”
Jun Yexuan, “Granny, you’re overthinking it. I don’t mean anything. I just think you should tell us what it is that she’s drinking.”
The granny glanced at him, “You just ate the chicken, which means we should get the venomous creature out of you as soon as possible.”
Jun Yexuan nodded.
The grandma pointed at Qiao Qing, “She can’t even get out of bed right now. You think she’d have the energy to help you?”
She paused, then added, “Don’t count on me. Though I know the benefits of a black chicken, I do not know how to actually get rid of a parasite.”
Jun Yexuan frowned, “Are you giving her pain killer? If that’s the case, then I don’t need the creature out of me. I can get a black chicken anywhere. I’ll just make another one later.”
“You dumbass! You’ve ever seen pain killer looking like this?!” The grandma’s expression was atrocious and she looked like she was fully prepared to beat him to a pulp, “This is medicine to get rid of her illness for good!”

The grandma was furious. Before she could curse, however, Qiao Qing took over the bowl and drank the medicine.

She lifted up the blanket and tried to get out of bed. Jun Yexuan stopped her, “What are you doing?”

“You already thanked me.” The grandma responded, “You saved her life once and helped her avoid many crises. It’s only fair that she’s helping you out now.”
