“Don’t move.” Jun Yexuan warned yet again. He pressed harder onto her anxious feet, “What if I accidentally cut your skin?”
Out of habit, Qiao Qing rubbed her round belly, “How much longer?”
“Almost done.” Jun Yexuan blew on her feet.
Qiao Qing hesitated, “Honestly, there’s no need for you to do all this.”
“You dare to say something so cold to me? You think I can’t deal with you right now?”
Qiao Qing knew what he meant by “deal with her” and so she blushed.
After Jun Yexuan was done with her nails, he got up and walked to the headboard. He leaned into her as his gaze was now full of affection and love.
“You are bearing my children. It is hard work. What’s the big deal about me doing this for you?”
He then gently rubbed her round belly, “Did those two little peanuts cause trouble again?”
Qiao Qing shook her head, “They’re behaving well today compared to yesterday. I bet it’s because they’ve grown afraid after your scolding yesterday.”
Jun Yexuan’s lips curled up and he smiled. He rubbed his head against her forehead and said, “It looks like my method worked.”
“Ehem, ehem…” A series of coughing interrupted these two.
Jun Yexuan turned around, “Fifth brother, why didn’t you make a sound if you were coming into our room?”
Qi Yuyang glared at him, “You two were too into it. How dare you lecture me?”
He then put a tray of food on the table beside Qiao Qing, “Qingqing, it’s time to eat.”
Hearing those words, Jun Yexuan helped Qiao Qing sit up straighter.
Qiao Qing saw all that food and sniffed. At once, she stuck up her thumb.
“Fifth brother, your cooking skills keep on improving.”
Qi Yuyang organized the plates in front of her and raised an eyebrow, “You’re trying to learn my secrets again?”
Qiao Qing was embarrassed and shrugged, “I’m not. I don’t have the energy. But, you’re feeding me six times a day and each time it’s like a full meal. You’re really trying to turn me into a pig.”
“But you don’t look like a pig at all.” Qi Yuyang pinched her cheeks, “Other than your belly, no fat has grown.”
Qiao Qing tasted the carefully prepared pregnancy meal Qi Yuyang prepared and said, “Isn’t that great? I won’t need to go on a diet after I give birth. But, fifth brother, there’s no need to hover over me and center your days around cooking for me. You should take care of your own stuff.”
Ever since she became pregnant, Qi Yuyang turned into her personal chef. All day and all night, he stayed in the kitchen and tried to come up with new and creative nutritious meals.
He was already a genius at cooking. Now that he was focusing on it full time, the food he cooked made people salivate even when they weren’t hungry.
Though she was pregnant, she was rarely nauseous and it was relatively easy for her to consume food.
Qi Yusen patted her head, “You’re the only thing that matters to me right now. So I am taking care of my stuff.”
He felt glad that so many people loved her and cared about her. He was glad that they were able to fulfill the areas he wasn’t the best at.
“Sister!” Qi Xingyou suddenly ran inside, “Look at these two gold chains, aren’t they beautiful?”
He then pulled up his pants a little and walked to the bed. He handed the two gold chains in hand to Qiao Qing. On each other chain was a beautifully made gold lock pendant.
“My niece and nephew would look great wearing them.”
Qiao Qing was silent for a while, “Sixth brother, an hour ago, you gifted my children a car. The children aren’t born yet and the room is already overflowing with gifts.”
