Max stood in the distance as he witnessed Wilson and Bayu exchange moves.

Max couldn't help but be surprised watching Wilson move, he was way faster than he thought him to be. It seems his confidence had something backing it.

«Lear: Where are you? Is everything fine?»

Suddenly, a screen popped up in front of Max and it turned out to be a message from Lear.

«I am in the Recycle District….things are not so fine….you better be careful and hide yourself….the capital is not safe for now...» Max replied as he turned to look at the storm in the distance where clashes still seem to be occurring.

"Bang!"

Wilson blocked the blow and it sent him skidding a few meters away.

"Is this everything you got? After all that praise that Max showered onto you….this is really a disappointment…" Wilson shook his head.

"I will show you then, what I truly am…." Bayu said as he turned his head towards Max, "You better look at it carefully, the true power…"

"Awaken…."

"Whoosh!"

Bayu's body suddenly busted out with an intense aura and the black wind around became even more destructive rampaging around and destroying everything to smithereens.

'Hmmm?' Max frowned as he felt something disturbing. Not only the wind element but the other element seemed to be moving along as well.

'Can he control other elements as well?' Max thought as he observed the scene. But within a few seconds, Max caught into something. Except for the wind which was exploding, the guy didn't seem to be using any other element.

'Is he himself aware of it or is there something else?' Max decided to observe a bit until he was confident to take part again. It was better to know as much as he can about this guy, after all who knew how many more of them were out there.....

Bayu stood in front of Wilson with the spear in his hand, his body was levitating mid air.

He must be using his element to do that as only Grandmaster level Mage could truly fly.

"Well, in that case…..I won't hold back too…." Wilson said as the lightning sizzled around him before he released his true spell as well leading to huge electrical discharge.

After awakening his true spell, Wilson appeared clad in an lightning armor, carrying a purple trident along which continued to sizzle.

Bayu raised his hand and the next instant, the black wind rushed ahead with full force carrying enough strength to blast anything in its path.

Wilson slashed with his trident diagonally, tearing apart the wind turbulence before diving straight through it.

Bayu looked calm and he simply raised his hand to block the incoming attack with his spear.

"Clang!''

The clash pushed Bayu a few inches away but he still stopped the attack with ease, "Is this all you got...."

"Bang!"

Bayu lifted his knee and struck Wilson right into his belly, breaking the hold before sending him crashing into the pile of garbage with a swing of the spear.

"Hmmn….not bad at least you know how to defend…" He mumbled as he walked towards Wilson.

Wilson kicked the trash aside and got back onto his feet. He had managed to block both the attacks in time.

"This isn't over yet…" Wilson mumbled as he pushed his feet and fully clad his body into lightning before moving forward once again.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

..

They exchanged several more blows and it seemed that Wilson was indeed lacking by an inch. It just went to show how terrifying he would be with the Divine Artifact in his hand...

'I can feel it….he is a bit similar and yet so different from us…..just what did they do…' Max muttered inwardly as he felt his headache easing.

"Tsk…'' Wilson clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction as the injuries on his body continued to increase.

He looked at Max through the corner of his eyes and saw him still standing with one of his hands on his head.

'Is it finally coming to this….'

Wilson's expression turned serious, he was already at the point where he could go for a breakthrough.

But for a breakthrough, a desire and stability in mental state was required. Both of which he had lost after his trip back to home.

The main reason behind his change from his early days and desire for fights and get stronger was to protect her at all costs. But he didn't realise that the person he had been wanting to protect was destroyed because of him all along….

In the end, he failed his breakthrough. He had been looking for peace and left the family. Returning back to his friends who didn't have any ill intentions was one of the ways to do that….

Well, he didn't find any peace though. But he still could raise his hands to fight when it came to his friends...

'If it's for my friends, I can do it….' Wilson smiled as he undid his true spell and saw Bayu rush in with the spear aiming right at his heart.

"Sizzle!''

Wilson's eyes suddenly flashed with a purple light and the next instant, his body busted out with a terrifying amount of mana sending thunder raging all across the Recycle district.

"Whoosh!"

Even Bayu who was rushing ahead was blown away. Max immediately used the earth element and dug his feet onto the ground managing to remain at the same place.

''What kind of f*cked up way is that? Is he trying to break through or kill himself?" Max looked at the scene with a frown.

Even though he wasn't using mana, he indeed had a core in his body that he refined with spirit energy.

When one was on the stage of breakthrough, they slowly expanded their limit by pushing their body past the limit. Concentration and a good state is important as well. And here this guy just went on with a bang.

''I hope he didn't injure himself….''

"But this guy, the fluctuations are so strong….he must be trying to reach expert tier….I really underestimated him…."

Wilson was indeed weaker than Max in this situation unless he had a breakthrough, if he succeeded there wouldn't be a clear winner between them in terms of head on confrontation unless Max had his breakthrough as well.

The lightning engulfing Wilson suddenly disappeared.

"Drip!"

He didn't succeed.

Blood trickled down Wilson's lip as he held himself back from falling. The glow in his eyes has still not faded, it wasn't over yet.

"If you want to commit suicide this way, you better die under my hands…"

Wilson saw Bayu looking towards him with red eyes. The guy's face had turned even worse after being zapped at such a close range.

When Bayu rushed in, Wilson stared right at him. He couldn't protect her and now....no, he couldn't let history repeat itself…

He would drag him down to hell if needed to be….he already had that thing in his storage device….the last time, he couldn't bring himself to do it….but this time….

"What's with that expression? It doesn't suit you….What would I say to Anna if I brought her to you like this?" Max's voice entered Wilson's ear.

"Clang!"

The spear clashed with the dagger and the next instant the ground below shifted a bit as Max manipulated the earth. Bayu had already tasted Max's tricks, he wasn't going to have another one and immediately retreated.

"Why don't you get over with that quickly, I have an urgent meeting….." Max said as he turned his head and the next thing took him by surprise.

A drop of tear slid out of Wilson's eye…

"..."

Max smiled with a genuine expression and nodded, he seemed to understand what was going through Wilson's head a bit.

Wilson closed his eyes, it was finally peaceful. Even in this situation, when he could find death the next instant....it didn't feel bad.

When he opened his eyes again, they glowed with a purple flash again as his body engulfed in lightning once again and a smile leaked out on his face.

'Now that's the guy, I know....' Max smiled before turning around looking towards the guy. It was time he settle it, without the divine artifact.....Max didn't feel like losing to him at all not to mention, he was close to a breakthrough as well. This was bad, he was in a hurry and yet he was getting excited here.....
