Lorenz Mansion, Capital.

Max returned to the mansion. Even though he was granted a leave by the Young Miss the head maid really grilled him for taking advantage of Young Miss's kindness…

He had to work again….

"Let's meet the kid…" Max muttered as he went towards the child's room. After all, his main job was to be the tutor of the child who was the successor of Lorenz House…

"Knock!"

"Knock!"

But there was no response….

Max sighed and then used his telekinesis ability to open the door. There was no one in….

He then spread his senses and immediately located the kid in Elly's room.

Within a few seconds, Max arrived in front of the door and gave a knock...he had encountered the lucky pervert situation a few times now and had started to take precautions…

"Who's there?" A childish voice sounded through the door as someone opened it.

"Your master...get out now…" Max said as he looked at the child who was similar to Lilly in age…..probably around 6 or 7…

The child looked at Max and they exchanged their gaze for a few seconds.

"…"

"Bang!"

The door was slammed onto Max's face making his face twitch….

'My Lilly is a million times better than this stinky brat….'

"Who was it, Rio?" Aria's voice sounded in the room.

"A pest…" the child replied.

Max shook his head and then raised his leg.

"Bang!"

With a thunderous sound, the door broke apart.

The people inside were shocked by the scene.

Max stood there with his legs raised half the way into the air.

The child was scared as well but the next instant, it was replaced by anger.

"You lowly servant! You dare to break the door!!" He spoke some pretty nasty words for a little kid.

"Sorry, my hand slipped….I have been washing dishes earlier..." Max said further infuriating the kid.

Even a fool could see that he had kicked the door to pieces.

'He isn't even trying…' Lisa shook her head as she looked at Rio boiling in anger. She knew Max was the last person one wanted to engage in argument with. He could just infuriated anyone.....

As Max's gaze met with her, she subconsciously turned her head away.

'What am I doing?!! I need to pretend!!' She screamed inwardly.

Max too avoided looking at her after seeing her reaction.

Before Max's arrival, they had been playing a board game to please the little kid….they obviously didn't have much idea about his identity…

The Lord had created a fake identity for him. He had let the Widow of his second son to adopt the kid apparently….

"Guards! Come here!!! Beat this person up!!" Rio shouted loudly.

Max shook his head and grabbed the kid's head.

"Y-You!! Let me go!!!" The kid began to struggle but it was useless…

"Little Elly, Hurry up and beat this person for your Un-"

Max grabbed his mouth before this guy could spew out another word.

He didn't think that the guy was aware about his own status.

Well, it was the Lord's wife actually...Even though the Lord wanted to hand over him from the very birth, how could a mother allow it...so he was raised under her mother's care until that age where he could discern things...

'Now I know why they don't allow him out of this place….how could they be at ease with that big mouth of his..' Max thought as he looked at Elly.

Her face had turned dark as well.

"I am taking him…" Max said as he looked at her. She should be aware of the situation.

Elly nodded after a bit of hesitation.

"He is a kid…" She muttered in a low voice as if reminding Max.

"Sigh!"

Max looked at the kid struggling.

How could he teach this kid anything? He had already got the study material for the kid's lessons...it was no big deal for him to teach a 7 year old kid….

But this attitude…..

'This is going to be troublesome…'

When Max brought the kid back to his room and let go of him, he immediately bounced onto the bed and took a fighting stance.

Max couldn't help but laugh, "You wanna fight?"

"Don't push me to the limit!! I don't need anyone to teach me anything...if they really care so much about my studies then just send me to school!!"

Max was taken back by his words. He didn't think that the kid had the ability to think to that level. But it became extremely clear why he had such a defiant attitude.

It seemed he just wanted to have some fun...but was trapped in the mansion without anyone else around his age.

"Why don't we make a deal kid?" Max asked with a smile.

"What deal?" Rio looked at him strangely.

"I will let you out of this mansion once every week for an hour, in exchange you have to be obedient and listen to everything I have to say..."

Rio's eyes lit up but the next moment they turned dim as he looked at Max in disdain.

"I have tried to sneak out several times and failed….even my little niece refused to help saying that with the old man Sirius, no one can help me escape this place…"

"No one but me....the old man always leaves this place once a week for a while…..do you want to keep doubting or give it a try?" Max asked with a smile.

Obviously, Sirius had to leave. There was a periodic meeting held by these Seniors of 12 Houses who were in charge of Capital. It was to discuss the activities going around...and also to solve the disputes related to trade and property which were common occurrences since the 12 Houses all had acquired a chunk of Capital though the largest belonged to the Four houses who had their headquarters here.

The kid looked at Max and seemed to be contemplating a bit

As long as he could get the kid under his control, then there would be no more washing dishes. He can use him as an excuse to get away with everything….

"One day is not enough…..Three! Not one day less…" the little kid said, stretching three fingers out.

Max didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Now he had to bargain with a little kid…

"Do you think you are in a position to be saying that stuff…" Max asked with a smile.

"Of course, I am...the teachers I rejected were all fired...you will lose your job.." The little kid grinned.

Max wished he could lose this job. But the kid was right, even if he didn't lose his job he would be washing dishes in the kitchen….

"I already said that the old man leaves the mansion once a week...how can I bring you out three days a week…"  Max retorted without any other option as he looked at the kid.

'He is really good to be a successor if trained properly...he is already sly…' Max thought inwardly. He would have been definitely shocked by the kid if he hadn't met Bahamut.

After all, Bahamut was just in another dimension.

"In that case, bring me out for the entire day…" the kid spoke with a frown.

"He remains outside for a minimum of an hour to a maximum of two hour… " Max replied as he shook his head. He was lying obviously, he actually didn't know how much time it took.

But it should definitely be two to three hours at minimum….but why would he let a kid boss him around…

"Then the deal's off…" the kid shook his head.

'This kid…' Max was really impressed. He was smart for his age. It seemed the Lord had been training his child well until his rebellious phase….

But he was still too green… he might be able to fool his peers….but not others..…

Max turned around to leave and just as he opened the door, the kid shouted, "Wait!"

"What? Hurry up, I have to wash dishes…" Max said as he looked at him.

"You are not lying, right?" He asked.

"Of course not...If I had an option why would I be willing to wash dishes…" Max said with an innocent look on his face.

"Fine, then...if you can bring me out..I will listen to you…"

And with that, Max had obtained a smooth ticket for his servant life...

It was finally over….

Max returned to his room and laid down on his bed before closing his eyes.

The next instant, he was standing in the spirit world….

Max picked up Sera who came running towards him before heading to check on his mother.

Andriel was there when he arrived. Levi was by her side as well.

After he was done there, Max let Sera down before heading towards his training field.

He then raised his hand and three items flew towards him.

They all had one thing in common. They had a hidden spatial storage artifact inside them.

Max didn't have any interest in the items itself and just pulled out the storage artifact hidden within.

"Let's see….what is hidden within…" Max smiled as he inspected it but the next instant his smile vanished..…

They had misunderstood….they really had underestimated their enemies....
