Lorenz Mansion, Capital.

Lisa's grandfather along with Lorenz Lord were currently floating above the mansion.

Lorenz Lord was warned to stay away and not approach them in case, he scared Lisa to accept the stupid demand….

In return he promised that he would be truthful about her decision....

Lorenz Lord looked at him suspiciously but still agreed. If Lisa rejected it, he just need to find her alone and hear it from her mouth once again....

Lisa's grandfather quietly sneaked into the mansion. He couldn't believe himself..who could have thought that one day a dignified expert like him would be sneaking into the room of young girls this late at night.

But soon he found out that Lisa was sleeping in a different room all alone.

'Is she having nightmares again?' The old man frowned. Given Lisa's personality, she would definitely try to avoid causing trouble for others.

The old man hurried up and as he entered the room, he could hear Lisa's heavy breathing.

Yup, she was having a bad dream….the old man had confirmed it. But when he got near the bed, he froze….

Lisa's eyes were closed but she was sweating. Her hands had tightly gripped the blanket and she seemed to be struggling….

She was having a nightmare but her words suggested something else….

"Un~"

"Stop…..it…Max…"

"Leave me alone... jerk....I had enough….of you…"

"Do….it…..with….her…not...me..."

It wasn't a nightmare for Lisa but for the old man himself….

He stood there for a few seconds with his mind totally blank.

The girl dreamed about Max. She had enough of him...she wanted to leave him….she wanted him to go with some other girl….

It all made sense now….

The old man suddenly held his head and smiled and slowly his smile turned bitter until tears started to fall from his eyes…

He finally realized it….

The problem was much bigger than he thought initially...the girl had truly gone the wrong way...she had lost sight of right and wrong….

She was done with Max and now wanted to discard him….he had wrongfully blamed Max and Elly….it was his own girl in the end….

Lisa had no idea that her fears had come true. She had decided to sleep alone because she was afraid that she would have this dream again.

After the illusion which Andirel casted on her, when Lisa first slept, she had dreamed about something which she shouldn't have. Luckily, everyone else was tired and deep in sleep so no one seemed to have noticed.

But Lisa had woken up in the middle of the night finding herself wet. She couldn't believe herself that she was having such shameful dreams… She was even more afraid of someone finding out about it…

But it was possible that it was a one time thing after all, she was not that kind of person…

Still to be on the safe side, she slept alone the next day and left her audio recorder on….she had the dream again...but it was still not that serious until she heard what she was saying her dream....it completely blew her away....

She immediately deleted the recording and  did a bit of research and confirmed that she was just a bit too shocked and once she calmed down….she wouldn't be having such dreams….after all, it hadn't been long since the incident and the scene was still very clear in her mind…

But now, her fears had come true….someone had found her….

A few minutes later, Lisa woke up….she gritted her teeth in anger.

Why was this happening to her?!!!!

Andriel!!!!!

Lisa was fuming, it was all that lady's fault!!

'I can't have such dreams!!! I need to support Aria!!!' Lisa slapped her cheeks and got out of bed to go to the washroom.

Two minutes later, she returned and was scared by the presence of a figure in the room…

"Woah!! You scared me grandpa…." Lisa placed her hand on her chest and calmed herself.

"Why are you here at this time? And why are your eyes so red? Where you crying again?'' Lisa asked as she looked at him with a frown.

The old man looked at her. His eyes were dead...slightly red due the tears he has shed today….

"There had been some problems regarding your engagement with Max…." The old man said, his voice sounded strange as if he had lost every kind of hope in the world.

Lisa's eyes twinkle, this might be the chance to clear the misunderstandings.

"Grandpa…there is something I want to say…it's about Max and me and our engagement..." Lisa said as she looked at him. She was afraid he would snap again. Last time he had said that he would break her legs….

The old man looked at her without any noise. He was silent.

Lisa accepted it as a sign to go forward and explain everything…

"Grandpa...it has all been a misunderstanding. There isn't anything going on between me and Max….." Lisa began to explain everything and when she was finally done, she breathed in relief.

Finally, their problems would be over. She was happy…

'Yes, it's for the best...I am Aria's supporter…' Lisa said internally.

The old man still looked at her. If this was said before, it might have led to something positive. But after the old man has heard her muttering in her dreams…..

'She wants to get rid of him now….' This was first thought in his mind.

'She has even learnt to lie to me...even I would have believed her if I didn't hear her earlier…' This was the second thought in his mind.

"Is this the reason why you were trying to push him towards her friend? Is it because they like each other?'' The old man asked, he didn't know what he was expecting to hear from her….

But Lisa's answer crushed his heart..

"Yes, they like each other…." Lisa lied. She was sure from Aria's side there was something. But she didn't know about Max...she felt that he didn't have interest toward forming any relationship with anyone… But it didn't matter now, if her lie could get their engagement to dissolve, it was worth it…..

'I see….' The old man said his head hung low. He couldn't believe her words anymore.

Max loved her and this girl broke his heart.

The old man finally realised it. That video, it was possible that Max had lost himself in sadness and made a mistake….he wanted to be comforted...ahh…..love was a terrible thing….

"This marriage can't be stopped anymore…" the old man said as he looked at Lisa.

"But, grandpa….I said that there is nothing between us…" Lisa didn't know just what to do...was there really no way out.

"Then what about the dream earlier?" The old man asked.

"W-W-What a-are you talking about?" Lisa immediately avoided his eyes and her face turned red.

'Ahhh!!!!  He was here!!! What did I say in my dream?!!! I can't remember!!!! Did I speak while sleeping?!!!!'

"So, something did happen...why did you lie to me then? Why do you want to cancel the engagement then? Have you really lost your path my child…"

"No!!! It's not like that.." Lisa gritted her teeth. She didn't know how to explain.

"Speak!!" The old man said in a stern tone.

"It's complicated grandpa…we were not aware of what we did…" Lisa said in a meek tone.

"You were drunk?" The old man asked as he looked at her.

"Something like that….." Lisa could only say that.

"So, you two did it after all…" the old man looked at her.

"Grandpa!! We didn't go….that….far…" Lisa wanted to say it loud. But her face flushed and by the time she completed her sentence, her voice wasn't audible.

"What did you say?" The old man asked.

"I said we are just good friends…" Lisa replied, she was too embarrassed to linger on the topic. This was her grandfather, not her best friend. Not to mention, if she was supposed to be drunk....if they knew the limits...that mean what they did was with consent and conscious action...that was even more embarrassing to admit....if she said that then the old man definitely wouldn't let it go...

"Then what's wrong with marrying him….you two appear more than friends in my eyes. You have already taken a step ahead from friendship as well. I can't think why you would refuse…..is there something wrong with him that I don't know..." The old man asked with a frown.

He just couldn't understand which was the true Lisa….was what happened earlier all false? Is this the truth? He didn't know, but he wanted to hear what she had to say...

"No!! There is nothing wrong with him!! It's true that he can be annoying at times and is not cute...but he is dependable and caring…."

"Oh! Then why do you refuse?" The old man asked in surprise.

"I wouldn't mind if it was a normal situation. But my friend likes him...I can't do this to her…" Lisa replied. They were already prepared to face the consequences of the marriage...but now that she knew about Aria, she was reluctant to go ahead with it…

"I see….Lisa you realised that what happened between you and Max can't be undone…" the old man said with a sigh. Kids make mistakes he knows, but they live in a different society….he can't turn a blind eye to it…

Not to mention, he can see that Lisa has good feelings towards Max….they were a good match…

Lisa wanted to say that it wasn't that it actually happened or maybe it did in a weird way...but she had to let out many secrets if she wanted to speak out about it…

"Grandpa, you don't need to worry. Max won't spread anything…" Lisa said as she looked at him.

The old man shook his head. He didn't know what the truth was...

Did what he hear earlier was true or what he was hearing now was the truth…

He didn't know, but his heart said that this was the true Lisa…

But he was still afraid of the tiny possibility that he was wrong. After all, he had a brain as well….

"The engagement between Max and you can't be dissolved…..but there is one other way…'' the old man said with a sigh before looking at Lisa.

"Your friend, we will let her marry Max as well…" the old man said with a straight face.

"Huh?'' Lisa looked at him. She couldn't comprehend what she heard.

"You heard it correct…" the old man said again.

Lisa was dumbfounded. What era was this? This old man hadn't lost it did he?

"It's the only way….there is no other way. Make your decision….I am not willing to break the engagement between you and him. I will kill him if you insist on breaking the engagement…"

"Grandpa!" Lisa cried out in despair.

But the old man was adamant. How could he let Max, a walking bomb, a dark history of Lisa's live to walk around. There was a chance that one day he might return to destroy her peaceful life.

This was how the Noble's lived. Relationships were a very delicate thing specially for people from the main line...there was no making mistakes there…

The main line descendants were not allowed to date without family's consent as well. But mistakes happened and they were usually solved in two ways...one was marriage...other one was not a good one….

Lisa looked at him and contemplated. There was no way this was possible. How could Aria accept this? The two of them together….with...him..

'No!!! This is wrong….'

But this was the only way….but would Aria accept it...no she wouldn't…

Lisa didn't know what to do....

"I have already talked with her Old geezer…he had agreed….your friend had agreed..now it's your turn to make a decision…" the old man said observing her expression.

Lisa was shocked once again.

Aria agreed?

'This….is she willing….is she that desperate?' Lisa didn't know what to say. She never thought Aria would agree.

What now? If she refused, Aria would be hurt…

"Fine, I agree…" Lisa replied, gritting her teeth. People might laugh at her but so what? She didn't have anything to do with Max...she would just let those two be all lovey dovey….she didn't care anymore..

The old man sighed and left.

His initial plan was to not care about Lisa's decision. He would force her to reject it. But after what happened, he was afraid….Lorenz Lord would definitely find her if she rejected it in order to confirm it with his own ears…

In case, Lisa ended up telling him that she wanted to break the engagement with Max and let Elly take her place, then it would be a disaster…

He didn't know if Lisa had gone down the wrong path or not. But if she had, it was his responsibility to stop her….Max was the right choice….even if Lisa had to compromise...this was better than letting the girl lose anymore...only God knew what she might do next if left alone…..

Not to mention, Lisa had agreed to it herself….maybe she really wanted this to happen….

The old man shook his head. The more he thought the more his thoughts got messed up.

….

Max who was flying back towards the Lorenz House suddenly stopped as he realised something.

"We didn't discuss what he wanted to talk about….it was related to marriage...but did he really have to call me at this time…" Max had finally calmed down.

But the old man didn't stop him nor did he followed after him. Maybe it wasn't that important…even if it was, he realised that he had said some pretty harsh thing.....it was better to leave the old man alone…

He might as well asked about it tomorrow…..Its not like it could get any worse....
