"That thing is of no use to you. You can't use it to begin with. Stop being selfish and return it to me. You don't have any idea how important that thing is." The Old man looked at Max with a heavy frown on his face.
"Why don't you guys have me take a look at it?" The Storm Progenitor asked, looking at the two. He was honestly quite interested in this topic. The two seemed to be able to fight for eternity regarding the possession of that thing, it wasn't odd that he was interested in giving it a look.
"No!!" Both the old man and Max simultaneously responded. There was no way in hell that they would allow these old monsters to have a look at it. After all, there was a chance that they would keep it to themselves.
Both the Storm and Leviathan Progenitor were taken back by the sudden cooperation between the two. That definitely seemed to have come out of nowhere.
"This is getting me even more interested in it."
Both Max and the old man's face turned dark.
'It's fine. They can't take it out of my spirit world.' Max was calm. He knew they wouldn't be able to force the artifact out of him. And, they would definitely be not willing to kill or torture him as well. He should be in the safe position.
But, the Old man from the Yule Family was certainly going to cause trouble. He might not do anything now, but what about the future? Max was not so sure about it.
"Do you think of us as fools?" The Storm Progenitor asked with a smile, "It's very obvious that you have got something important from the Ancient Cemetery. As for what it is, I am sure you two are aware of it."
"Since you are so hesitant on telling us about it, we wouldn't ask. But, I still am interested in knowing the events after that." He further asked with a smile. To be honest, if that important thing was in this old man's position, the Storm Lord would definitely pry his mouth and hands open. But, since it was with Max, he just allowed it to go.
The old man looked at them with a frown on his face. It was better for him to not talk about the artifact anymore. As long as it was in Max's possession, it was the safe from the two old monsters at least.
And, a good thing was that Max was also wary of them and didn't plan on handing them the Artifact. He didn't know why it was so, but it was great for sure.

Sun survived the harsh trials in the Cemetery. It was luck, quick wit, and hard work. This was what saved his life throughout the trial.
After making out of the fourth test, he was allowed to leave. Obviously, he hadn't passed the test in its entirety but he seemed to have done the bare minimum.
He was rewarded with two things in the Trial.
First was a chance of awakening.
This led to his complete awakening and strengthened his affinity to the Sun a dozen more times. It was to the point that he seemed to have evolved into a different species just like Max.
The Second thing which he got was the artifact.
The Trial had made him aware of the significance of an artifact. He knew how important it was for a wielder to be born for the artifact.
He tried to wield it, but it didn't work with him.
The reason was unknown.
But, he sure didn't feel any affinity with it.
He could feel that his energy of the Sun was different from the fiery energy hidden inside the artefact.
If the two came in contact, there was no chance for harmony but only a fight.
Hence, he decided to find the right person for the Artefact.
After coming out of the trail, he decided to quietly sneak out into the outside world. It was because his thoughts differed from the Ancient Families and also a tiny bit because he was being bullied by the Old monster of Von House.
He didn't like the idea of Ancient Families keeping things together with themselves. The Ancient Families were after all closed from the outer world.
Hence, he went to the outside world trying to build up his own force. One that could reckon with the Ancient Families and could also play a role in the war in the future.
During his journey, he met with the Lord of the Scarlet Family during that time.
After a series of good events, the two quickly became good friends.
With his help, he set up the Yule Family and became its first Patriarch.
After feeling that the Scarlet Lord could be trusted, the Old man decided to share his story with him.
It was obviously unbelievable but the man didn't question his friend at all. Instead, he decided to help his friend in his endeavor.
He along with the Scarlet Lord expanded their territory and in the end, the Scarlet Family became the center of the world's attention all while Yule Family, the real mastermind of the event remained in shadows.
The Scarlet Family took all the credits and became the Noble House while the Yule Family faked it's existence as a mere allied family. It was to hide himself from the clutches of the Old monsters of the Ancient Families.
Years passed, but the Old man couldn't find any person suitable for the Artifact.
At that moment, the two of them came up with an idea.
The old man possessed the overbearing energy of sun, and the Scarlet Lord too had the power of flames. And whenever Scarlet Lord's flames came near the artifact, the old man could feel a slight reaction from the artifact. It was most likely because he had dormant genes of Ancient Era in him.
With that theory as a basis, the two came up with a plan.
It was a known fact that purity of a bloodline became thinner with each passing generation. In that case, it would be the same for Sun's bloodline as well. This would in turn, calm the overbearing energy down.
If they went by this way, there was a chance that one of his descendants might just be able to do the impossible and wield the artifact.
And, the Scarlet Lord's gene might help in it as well.
The two of them decided to pass down their lineage, and at a later stage have them get mixed in hope of giving birth to a person who could wield an artefact.
It was a crazy plan, but it still was better than nothing. Besides, they were constantly looking for a person who could be a wielder. So, if they found someone, it was good. If not, they would wait for hundreds for years, and might as well give this plan a shot.
After all, even if the Scarlet Lord passed away, this man who had attained Ascension wasn't going to go away anytime soon.

And, after years of failing to find a wielder, the old man finally decided to go up with their backup plan.
