Yule House, Ocien.

"Isn't it taking a bit too long?" The old man Sun was not happy. They had been waiting for quite a while, but there was no sign of Max proving his words. Apparently, he was waiting for someone, but there was no sight of that person.

"You had patience to scheme over hundred of years, and now you can't even wait for a few minutes?" Max didn't know what he should feel surprised at. Was this really the same guy?

The old man's face twitched, but he didn't say anything and just kept his silence.

A few minutes later, a commotion erupted around the place. It seemed there was an intruder.

The guards began to run all over the place, and occasional screams could be heard at places.

The Old man's face turned a bit dark on hearing all the commotion. He knew who was the cause of it, but seeing how calm Max was, the old man decided to observe the situation as well.

If Max really had no evidence, and caused all the commotion for nothing, then he would make sure to teach him a lesson. It was true that he was afraid of the Ancient Families, but it was not like they would come to kill him just because he whooped the kid's ass a bit.

"What took you so long?" Max asked with a frown as he turned his head around.

Naze had finally arrived.

"Well, I met someone. And, it wasn't easy to find this after all," Naze replied as he walked up to him.

"Well, that means you found something.." Max was happy that there was less work to do now. If there wasn't anything to serve as evidence, they would be making a trip out of this place.

Naze looked at the old man and then pulled out an account log from his storage device.

"What is this?" The old man took the book, and gave it a glance.

The next instant, a frown appeared on his face. He turned a few of the pages of the book and then closed it.

The book contained the records of transactions which had happened between the Patriarch Yule and a few of the other people. It was a record of all the shady deals, and the name which appeared most of the time in it belonged to Talia, the Lady of the Scarlet House.

"I get that he is hiding things, and even profiting at the cost of the Family and other people." The old man didn't deny it, "But, this is all happening with the orders of the Lady and it isn't something uncommon in Big Houses...."

That was a clear fact as well.

The Yule Family was currently an allied family, and it's status was beneath that of Scarlet House. It wouldn't be odd if the Patriarch had to follow the Lady's decision. It might be that he had no choice.

Besides, shady deals and a bit of scheming was all too common. The old man had already taken a back step and allowed it all to happen at their own pace. He wasn't going to interfere in this matter.

And, the most important thing, there was no way that this log proved that he had any connection with the demons. So, what was the use of this?

Colluding with Demon's was a big matter and he would have to take actions in such a case. They technically betray the whole Human race., and might even push them towards Extinction. This was not something that he could expect. But, there had to be proof. He wouldn't believe Max if he just said so.

"Well, this would be helpful then.." Naze smiled, and pulled out a huge transparent jar.

The moment that thing was pulled out, even Max's eyes went wide, much less the old man.

"What do you have to say now old man?" Max turned his head towards the old man. There was no denying now.

The jar was filled with a strange fluid, and inside it was black beating heart. And, it was giving out an eerily aura.

There was no way that the old man at his close of a distance couldn't sense what it was. His face slowly began to turn dark when he realized hit him. He wanted to believe it was all a lie, but Naze's next words put the nail in the coffin.

"There are ten to twenty more of these in the Patriarch's basement. I think he has some big plans."

"I think they want to create Demons on this side to act as their pawn." Max could at least tell that much.

This was used in the Technique of Demonic transformation of Humans. Obviously, it was not as good as the one that Talia had performed on Max. And, actually this lower grade of transformation was actually inspired by the the Royal Blood method.

"What are you going to do now, Old man?" Max turned his head to look at him. He had already lost the bet.

The old man let out a laugh, "I can't believe that it wasn't even the territory that the Family governed. But, in the very House that we live around."

Naze looked at Max wondering if the old man had gone insane. After all, it wasn't a matter to laugh about.

But, Max knew that the old man wasn't laughing because he had gone insane, but was laughing because he felt like a joker. He was probably laughing at himself.

Well, it was the same as going insane. But nor permanently.

And, as expected, a minute later, the old man's laughter died, and his face had turned ugly.

"Shatter!"

The jar which contained the Black Heart shattered to pieces, and the heart was crushed by the old man's bare hand.

The rage on his face was evident now.

He took a step, and the next instant, his figure appeared above in the sky.

"Elders!!! I want everyone of you in the meeting hall in five minutes!!" His thunderous voice rang across the entire house, and it scared a lot of people.

The people of the House had never seen the First Elder in anger, but it seemed that something had happened today.

Things didn't seem to be looking good.

Patriarch's Residence.

Alina sat in the living hall, hearing a man's hoarse voice coming from the bedroom. There was obviously one man in the house.

She had just given him a whiff of the regular drug that she used on him. It created an illusion in his mind, and he was probably busy doing it with a pillow now.

"Elders!!! I want all of you to gather in the meeting hall in five minutes!!"

A roar sounded in the room, and it terrified Alina.

She looked towards the bedroom, and knew she was in trouble now.

Why?

The voice had a strange energy mixed within it. It could wake people from sleep, and even from effects of illusions.

As soon as Alina ran out of the place, a angry roar came from the bedroom.

"Dammit!! What's going on?!!! Why is a pillow here all of a sudden?!!"
