Everyone surrounding Yao Tang was immersed in the discussion. They all kept glancing at the young woman, nodding thoughtfully.
“Miss Cheng Wei is right,” one of them whispered. “Master Yu Jingis one of the most famous doctors in the seminar. How could he be seated next to a young woman? She doesn’t even look like an expert.”
“Yeah, I wonder who she is. Why haven’t I seen her before?”
“Given her looks, she’s probably a mistress of some bigshot shareholder of the Jiangdong Group.”
“Still, I don’t get it. Given her status, how could she sit next to us? This is outrageous!”
A few of the old men immediately stood up and complained, staring at Yao Tang. They couldn’t believe that this young woman would best them.
They had no objections of Yu Jing sitting on the second row. After all, he was very much adept in the medical field.
It was also expected that Cheng Wei would be seated in the third row. She was an outstanding doctor in the neurology department.
But for this young girl to be better than them…That was something they couldn’t accept!

There were a few young doctors seated right at the back who had more conflicting thoughts. A part of them wanted to save the young girl from any more humiliation, but they could only wait and watch.
“I’m sorry, Miss.” The assistant bowed apologetically, waiting for her to take out her card. “But I would have to see your card.”
Seeing that everything was in a ruckus, Yao Tang shoved the report back into her bag and glanced at them lazily. She slowly pulled her bag over her shoulders.
Cheng Wei, who had been standing at the back, immediately recognized the branded bag at a glance. It was extremely expensive, and it was a limited edition design! She had wanted it for so long, but she just couldn’t bear to use her card after knowing the price.

The old man immediately came running forward. “What’s going on?”
Upon seeing the crowd starting to form, he scowled. “Look at what you’re doing,” he snapped. “Why are we letting this young girl sit in the front row?”
“Even if she was a doctor, one shouldn’t be this arrogant in her profession.”
“Yeah, kick her out!” one rang out. “She’s not welcome at this conference. We’re supposed to be gathering and exchanging ideas, not picking up men.”
