Qin Jing furrowed her eyebrows. At the sight of her friend’s nonchalant expression, she quickly said, “Did you know that you got the highest score in the Olympiad? Not only that, but you got a perfect score! A perfect score!”
Yao Tang couldn’t help but smile.
Why did it feel like Qin Jing was celebrating too quickly? It’s like she was the one who had won. She snickered at the thought.
“Sister Tang, are you even listening to me? No one had gotten a perfect score in years! You’re the only one who managed to do so in the past ten years! Shouldn’t you be celebrating?”
Qin Jing was the most energetic of them all. She grabbed Yao Tangby the arm and shook her violently. Her cheeks were flushed red, and she looked like she just won the lottery.
It’s as if she was the one who had won the price.
“Yes, yes…” Yao Tang smiled. “I heard it.”
“Then why don’t you look happy?” Qin Jing complained, pouting. “It’s as if nothing had happened.”
“No,” she argued. “I’m excited, see?”

Meng Yang, who was standing right beside her, burst into laughter. He clutched his stomach, rolling his eyes. “Why would Sister Tang be excited by a perfect score?” he chuckled.
“In fact, I think she’d be even more surprised if she didn’t get the perfect score, right?”
At that moment, he glowed at her, placing his arm around Qin Jing.
“Didn’t you tell me you had some questions about your homework?” Yao Tang changed the topic, cocking her eyebrow up at him.
“Right, I almost forgot about that!” Meng Yang hurriedly opened his school bag and took out his exercise book. “Here they are.”
“Wait!” Qin Jing waved her hand. “I also have a few questions.”
Lin Xin also couldn’t help but rub the back of her neck in embarrassment. “I also have a few questions for you, Sister Tang,” she murmured.
For the first time, Yao Tang looked as if she was in a very good mood. Her eyes glinted at everyone around her. “How about you organized your questions and then ask them one by one?”

She shrugged at the sight, pretending to be fine. Even then, she couldn’t stop her hands from trembling, especially under the piteous gazes of everyone around her.
Class 1 was particularly lively as every student discussed their outrage over the results.
However, as soon as Yao Ran stepped inside, everyone fell quiet. The entire class stared at her, sighing in disappointment. Who would’ve expected that their class belle would be beaten by that gangster?
Yao Ran smiled back at them, but even they could see her lips quivering.
A few students observed her bloodshot eyes and twitching fingers. Their hearts ached, and they couldn’t help but feel sorry for the beautiful woman.
“Ranran, it’s not your fault,” one of the male students comforted, slamming his hands onto the table. “There must’ve been a problem with the exam. You’re the one who deserves to win!”
