“And why are you doing this in the first place? If you had listened to me earlier, you would know that trying to test Master isn’t allowed, you know? It doesn’t seem normal to me. What on Earth were you thinking, Karendoll? Didn’t you learn anything from that day in the training hall? Did you feel nothing when you faced Master? Is there a brain inside your head at all?”

Bridgette then starts lecturing Karendoll with a superior attitude, as if Karendoll was wrong.

That’s wrong, Bridgette; you shouldn’t say that.

I shouted to Bridgette in my mind.

Then, Bridgette must have understood my thoughts because she turned her head towards me and said, “Okay, Master! This Bridgette will take care of her!” with shining eyes.

Her appearance is like that of a dog that is pleased to be commanded by its beloved owner.

I can’t help but worry.

“Ara? I’m not asking Bridgette-san. I’m here for Kaisar-sama. I don’t think it’s right for you to be eavesdropping on my conversation with Kaisar-sama. It looks like you haven’t been disciplined as a slave yet! What a spoiled dog you are.”

“You’re the one who doesn’t understand anything, Karendoll! A good dog is one that moves before its master commands it to without bothering them. Just like me, who rushed to Master’s aid before he called me to drive away the winged insect known as Karendoll on his behalf.”

Bridgette responds confidently to Karendoll’s words, yet in all likelihood, this seems to be a contest between a clever and dumb dog.

Of course, the clever dog is Karendoll, who has been able to corner me with reason, while the dumb dog is Bridgette, who has been dropping so many bombs that I, the master, can’t even make excuses for them ever since she arrived.

Also, Bridgette is the one with no brains in her head.

I’m starting to worry rather seriously that it really contains nothing but muscle.

In my mind, I thought, ‘I’m begging you, Bridgette, don’t talk anymore.’

“Then am I correct in assuming that the one in the black mask is Kaisar-sama, right?”

“I told you so a while ago…”

“Kaisar-sama? Bridgette seems to have said so earlier, and I wonder if you still plan on keeping quiet about it?”

“I’ve no excuse for this.”

I got forced to admit that I was the one in the black mask.

Ahh, my head hurts.
