When I explained this, the rest of the family looked at me as if I were an idiot.

“I thought you were just a simple fool, but I didn’t realize you were this much of an idiot…”

“He is the son of my ex-wife. No wonder he is this stupid.”

“Brother really is an idiot. I’m so disappointed. Even our dog Pesu is much smarter than you.”

“But I appreciate that you’re willing to be a slave. Somehow I want to see you as my pet slave, Brother.”

[TLN: No, imouto, don’t.]

And, as usual, they spewed out words of condescension, mockery, and slander as if breathing.

Why can’t you understand that from when I invoked contracted magic without chanting in the first place, I showed knowledge in magic far superior to this foolish brother and sister?

I guess that’s the extent of these guys, after all.

“Let’s cut the c**p and get on with it. The contract magic is already in effect, so come anytime you want. Don’t think I’m going to be your slave anyways, as it’s impossible, and I’m not human enough to forgive you for making fun of my mother… What’s the matter, scum? Come at me.”

They probably were planning to torture me slowly and gradually.

Acting prideful, they weren’t even showing any signs of moving, so I provoked them a little, and it seemed to have a tremendous effect as their faces turned red. Finally, before I could finish speaking, my brother Gwen fired a fireball at my face.

The level of his fire magic was not even worth calling good. It was something puny.

How could he be so arrogant with this level of magic?

No, it may be a terrible comparison since magic, skills, and everything else in this world is at a lower level than in the game world.

“Oh, come on, your brother is still talking. As an heir to the title of the duke, weren’t you taught manners~? Never attack with magic while others are speaking~ I thought you were just an uneducated fool, but it looks like you’re no better than an ape…”

“You, b*****d! Take it back! You are the uneducated idiot and less than an ape, not me! It’s you!”

My provocations seem to be working well, and my brother shot [Puny Fireballs] at me like crazy.

I could tell from his actions that this brother of mine is good at low-level magic such as [Puny Fireball] and is confident in his low-level magic.

—But don’t you think anything of it when you see me without a scratch on my face from that magic that you’re so good at?

I mean, if it were me before I inherited my memories and game abilities, my face would have definitely gotten burnt by that fireball, wouldn’t it?

He knew that I couldn’t have blocked such magic, yet he did not hesitate to unleash it on my face…

“I hope you’re ready for what’s to come?”
