A soft breeze blew through his hair. As he sat, cradled into the arms of a woman, he couldn’t help but cuddle into the soft fur in front of his face. Lovingly, a pair of lips pressed against his face. Turning, he looked up to see the eyes of the Chiefess staring down at him.

“Hello,” she said cheerfully.

Blinking, Charlie leapt up as he saw her nude breasts. For a moment his mind raced as he saw her ears and tail. Weren’t they on the street? Why was she like this? Staring around, he saw they were in a small room with well-painted walls. A small table with a candle on it sat to the side, a dresser for their clothes was to the right, and besides this, there was just the bed. Upon this bed, lay a nude Chiefess, and just behind her, curled into her fur, sat a tiered looking Klipesia.

Frowning, she put a handout and made a grabbing gesture towards him, as if beckoning him over. Above her, her twin tails lazily flopped around, as if they were also summoning him to her side.

“Cuddle,” the Chiefess said, patting a Charlie snapped area next to her. Rubbing his head, he felt a sudden pain.

“Face slap, hurt bad?” Chiefess said as she moved to his side.

Carefully, she walked him over and helped him onto the bed. Without a doubt, he was tired, and she could tell he was probably a little delirious. Placing a leg over his legs, she placed her other leg alongside his left one in an attempt to cradle his waist. Using her arms, she pulled him closer and allowed him to use her chest as a pillow.

Meanwhile, her tail flowed over his body, acting as a blanket for him. Curling herself on his other side. Klipesia placed a hand on the top of his head and began to gently coo over him while one of her tails covered her, and the other covered him. Below them were blankets, but it seemed they enjoyed sleeping like this more.

“Husband strong, husband fight!” The Chiefess said proudly as she pulled him even closer to her chest, almost suffocating him.

“Fight?” He asked, his mind still waking up as he couldn’t resist the warmth of the two women.

“MMMM!! Masked assholes say you help save him! Help kill a man!” The Chiefess’s tail began to beat against the bed excitedly. Looking down at her giant smile, Charlie managed to free one of his arms to gently play with her ears and ruffle her hair.

“Thank you,” he said, lying back as the two women cuddled him.

Blushing, he looked down to see he was also just as nude as them. His blush deepened as he again felt a breeze flutter over him, like the hands of an invisible force. Glancing up, he saw a small, open window. Shivering under the cool trough, the two women wrapped him further in their fur.

“What do you think we should do with him?” Klipesia asked, running her hand through his hair as she lay next to him.

“What do you mean?” the Chiefess asked, moving her tail off him slightly as she cuddled her body against him. Placing an arm around his body, she pulled him closer.

“You saw what happened today. How close he was to death! Many of our warriors had died, luckily, we were able to save as many as we could. But that was because our kind is good healing, BUT he isn’t!” Klipesia said, doing her best to keep her tone soft as she spoke to the Chiefess in her native language.

“I know…. But what are you thinking?” the Chiefess said, seeing a familiar look of possessiveness in the eyes of Klipesia.

“He is vital to our tribe, so putting him on the front lines was an awful mistake. A mistake we must not make again,” Klipesia said, her eyes narrowing as she began to stop stroking his hair.

“I say we leave and go back to the village. Once there, we will lock him in the temple. We will make it into a paradise of all he likes. Once there… he shall never leave or be harmed again,” placing a soft kiss on his forehead, Klipesia turned her gaze to the Chiefess.

“He is not some slave. He is my husband,” Snarling the Chiefess spoke.

“Our husband,” Klipesia quickly corrected.

“Then we should have been more protective. Let’s not punish him for our mistakes and wrongdoings,” the Chiefess purred as she tried to keep a soft and happy tone.

Again, he did not understand them, so she thought it best to keep a light tone and smile to try and relax the poor creature. This seemed to work as he curled into her fur. Grinning, he wanted to mock her for not using the blankets under them for warmth or shutting the window for that matter, just as an excuse to wrap him in their tails, but he decided against it.

Leaning closer, Klipesia stared the Chiefess in the eyes.

“Listen closely. That man is the only reason I agreed to become a Sarati. You… you are just as reckless as when we were children!” Klipesia said, trying not to yell.

Sweat dripped down the side of her face, as a sense of fear overtook her. Staring back, she looked into the blank eyes of the Chiefess. That look… the same look she had given her when she had broken her arm for touching Charlie.

“And the only reason I allowed you to become a Sarati was to have a bargaining chip against your clan. You would be wise to remember that I resist the urge each day to snap each of those filthy fingers off forever touching my human,” The Chiefess snapped back, her voice staying in a disturbingly soft and warm tone for such cold words.

“Yes… your majesty…” Klipesia relinquished. Noticing her shrink back in defeat, the Chiefess wrapped her arms around him and began to bombard him with kisses.

“What wrong?” the Chiefess said, placing soft kisses on him as she noticed a look of sorrow in his eyes.

“I…” a tear ran down his cheek as his voice began to crack. The memories of that day were creeping into his mind. Gagging, Charlie shot from the arms of the Chiefess. Placing a hand over his mouth. Etasose quickly wrapped her tail around his waist for support.

Shuddering, he placed his hands over his mouth and forced the rising vile down his throat. All those people… all those dead… all because of him.

“I… I should have predicted something like this. I should have predicted we might get attacked the second I saw that shop was laundering money through guns and selling those guns to gangs. But to think such a mercenary with a magic user existed…” Rubbing the bridge of his nose, Charlie kept his voice low, afraid if he spoke any louder, he would begin crying.

Placing her face against his neck, the Chiefess smiled.

“You are so, so brave. I love you,” she muttered, placing a hand on the back of his head and pulling him forward. Staring to her side, she saw Klipesia glaring at her. It was clear what she wanted. Standing, she stormed from the room. Reaching the door, she turned and looked at them.

“I will be downstairs with the others, come and get us in a bit,” she said, taking some clothes and dressing as she left the room.

Now alone, the Chiefess turned and pounced on Charlie. Pinning him, she began to lick away at his ears. Raising his hands in defence, he tried to fight back against her. Grabbing his arms and pinning them by his sides, the Chiefess glared ominously into his tear-filled eyes.

“S…Stop,” he muttered.

“I stop when you stop crying,” she said, her eyes burning a gaze of seriousness into his. All fear seemed to leave him as he stared at her. An aura of fixation overtook him as she became his main focus. Once his tears had faded, the Chiefess spoke again. Her tail flickered off the bed and knocked the transition book off the side and into her hands.

“I…I am so, so sorry,” she began, “I should have been there to protect you. But… you need to be stronger….” Sighing, it was clear to Charlie that what she was trying to say deeply pained her.

“I have a lead warrior and huntress train you. Make body strong, prepare for battles. I keep you safe, but… if I fall,” as her grip relaxed, Charlie threw himself forward and wrapped his arms around her.

“For once, allow me to be at fault. They died due to my naivety. Please… please just punish me,” Charlie whispered, his voice still cracking as he wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to follow through with his promise.

She was right. He needed to be stronger, much stronger. And if he was going to be stronger, he was going to have to begin becoming more cautious. The Chiefess tried to speak, but as pulled her closer, she could hear the beating of his heart. A proud, strong beat, but with a hint of fear. Smiling, she wrapped her arms around him and allowed him to hold her.

Grinning, she sat up and stared him in the eyes. She knew him better than anyone, or at least that is what she told herself, so she knew just what he needed to help keep his wits about him. He was often the most effective when in his ‘merchant mode’ so she just needed to keep him locked into that for the time being.

“Ok, no sex,” she said with a large grin. Charlie shuddered, a mix of confusion, relief, and sadness flowing over him.

“Until stronger, until better, I know give you sex. Only cuddles,” Charlie’s eyes widened at her words, and a smile came to his lips.

“Deal,” he said, before leaping out of bed.

Grabbing his clothes and dressing, a wide smile came over his face. He was a merchant, and deals were what he was best at. Alone he wouldn’t become stronger, he needed some driving factor to keep him moving. As a merchant, a deal was the perfect tool. Within this deal, he liked to think he included the affection and care of the tribe. The people who he had now taken on the burden to help and protect.

Staring at the enthusiastic eyes of the boy, the Chiefess smiled. A new fire had just been lit within him; one she didn’t want to allow to burn out. Even though she was already begun to regret the decision to barricade herself from sleeping with him. Sighing, Charlie moved to the doorway.

“Ok, I’m going to go downstairs, you join me in a bit,” A tight feeling accompanied by a trickly feeling in his stomach, he began to step forward. For now, this deal was only a filler purpose. Regardless his first mission was to remove Mr Green Water from their lands, but hopefully, this deal would help him keep his standards high. In turn, preventing another massacre like today from happening again.

A couple of steps down the wooden hall, Charlie stopped, a realisation coming over his now ego busted mind. Why were the women showing their ears and tails? Stopping, he tracked back to the room. Next to the bed, the Chiefess stood, just putting on her grass skirt while her top was already on. Yes, yes, her tails and ears were showing.

“Wait, sorry, you are aware of what you are doing?” Charlie said, trying to panic in his voice. Turning, the Chiefess nodded.

“Yes, mask bastard said he no care. Also, if he tells, I castrate him,” the Chiefess said with a large, over joyous smile.

Nodding, Charlie began to rack his mind for a rough translation of what she had just said. The mask bastard? Charlie turned and sprinted down the hallway. Reaching a set of wooden stairs, he quickly charged down. Arriving in a small pub, he stared upon a man sitting at a table. The same man in the iron mask was helping the old man, as well as being the man who saved his life.

At the table, he sat, strange tools in hand as his gaze was kept down onto the arm of Nolkonoe. Wait, the arm. Where was her hand? Blinking, Charlie stared for a while, trying to see if he was somehow imagining the stump where her hand should be. A hand gripped his shoulder. Turning around, he saw the Chiefess. Her stern look reminded him that he needed to stay strong.

“Afternoon,” the man said, not looking up once as he took a knife and cut it into his arm of Nolkonoe.

Pointing to a wooden chair with one of his gloved hands, Charlie silently complied. Silently, he sat, grimacing every time the man cut into Nolkonoe’s arm. Another cry came from Nolkonoe as blood spilt onto the table. Shuffling in his seat, Charlie moved forward. A tail wrapped around his body. Turning his gaze onto Nolkonoe, he saw her soft smile.

“Excuse me, sir,” Charlie said, despite the reassuring smile of Nolkonoe, her screams were something he couldn’t just ignore.

“Wrench,” he snapped, his attention again not turning from Nolkonoe’s stump.

“Sorry?” he responded.

“My name, Wrench. Titles, Pub owner, Factory owner. Testing your friend’s wound to see if I can do something for her,” was all the man said as he continued his gruesome task.

Keeping his eyes down, Charlie sat in silence as the man worked. After a while, he wrapped a cloth around her hand before standing and using a separate cloth to wipe the blood from his tools. Klipesia stood at the corner of the room with some other huntresses. Next to them, the bodies of the dead lay, wrapped in cloths.

The man, who seemed to be named after a piece of factory equipment, stared at the bodies. His shoulders sank as he walked to the long wooden stretch of his bar counter.

“Since your kind heals so fast, I need you to rest, and now and then keep the wound open. I don’t want your body to adapt to not having a hand, so I want the nerves to stay active there. Or at least this is what I guess from my hypothesis,” he said, placing the tools down, exchanging them for a notepad and pencil.

For a moment in silence, he drew. Returning to them, he placed the pad on the table. The image was of a crude metal hand.

“A rough sketch of what I want to try and make for you,” the man said, tapping the paper before standing back to allow her to look at it.

“Why are you doing this?” Charlie said, sitting upright. Wrench glanced at the bodies.

“Since this was all my fault,”
