The people on the Phantom didn’t intend to get out of the car, which had stopped safely on the road. The noisy examination room gradually became silent, and some people even held their breath.

This car wouldn’t easily appear in front of the public because once it did, it meant that there were two people sitting inside, and the appearance of these two people in the public eye at the same time proved a position.

“Uncle Jin and the Alliance President are here.” Bai Chunian squinted as he observed a pair of alpha and omega sitting in the back row of the Phantom, and couldn’t help speculating, “Is it because they received important news?”

The car was unarmed, but the helicopter of the 109 Research Institute hovering above the examination room didn’t dare to advance. Instead, it stayed still in a stalemate with the capture target close at hand.

The ATWL examination room was originally closed temporarily after receiving an arrest warning from the 109 Research Institute, but after the Phantom appeared and deadlocked with the helicopter for a few minutes, the examiner seemed to have made a choice between the two forces and opened the door.

Bi Lixing grasped the situation first, and with his eyes signaling to Bai Chunian, the four left through the gate without anyone stopping them.

After walking out of the examination room, more than a dozen anti-riot armored vehicles painted with the white IOA (International Omega Alliance) logo surrounded the four people. The armed anti-riot squad jumped out of the armored vehicle and showed Bai Chunian an arrest warrant signed by the president and handcuffed him.

The arrest warrant clearly stated Bai Chunian’s violations: illegally taking in special operations experimental subjects, illegally bringing special operations experimental bodies into the city, illegally removing the experimental subject’s suppressor, and disobeying the president’s order by refusing to hand in the mission objectives.

Bai Chunian had nothing to say, so he had to be arrested.

A dozen other medical staff in white coveralls jumped off two other armored vehicles and cautiously surrounded Rimbaud. The medics’ uniforms also bore the IOA logo. It was shaped differently from the armed bomb squad, which had two crossed submachine guns engraved on its insignia, while the Alliance Medical Department’s logo had a red cross and feathers in the background.

Rimbaud, unfamiliar with their scent, bowed his barbed dorsal fin and the whole fish turned a menacing red.

Seeing Bai Chunian being handcuffed, he suddenly became even more frantic, and used the tip of his electric tail to expel and warn the anti-riot officers around Bai Chunian.

“It’s okay, he’s one of our own.” Bai Chunian released soothing pheromones and lifted his handcuffed hand to stroke Rimbaud’s hair, “Don’t cause trouble.”

Sensing Bai Chunian’s emotions, Rimbaud put away the spikes on his dorsal fin and the warning crimson color on his body gradually lightened.

Among the more than a dozen medical staff, there was a kind old professor who skillfully used gestures to soothe Rimbaud’s emotions, and spat out some strange utterances. Rimbaud tilted his head to look at him and responded with a few short syllables. His body completely returned to a calm blue colour.

The detector in the hands of the medical staff kept showing “A strong aggressive emotion was detected in the experimental subject”, and then the red light went off. They didn’t dare to step forward until the instrument showed that “No aggressive emotion was detected” and the green light was on. The four of them held Rimbaud down and quickly inserted a suppressor to his gland in the back of his neck.

Rimbaud let out a cry. His eyes lost their luster and the electric light in his fish tail disappeared. He sluggishly hugged the suitcase handle, stood beside Bai Chunian, and refused to leave. His claws were tightly pressed on the suitcase. The anti-riot officer had already planned to take Bai Chunian away, and forcefully expelled Rimbaud, causing Rimbaud’s fingertips to stick even more deeply into the suitcase, and blood oozed from his nails.

The elderly professor in a medical uniform angrily quarreled with the anti-riot officers: “We want to take the white lion alpha away with us. They are paired, and unpredictable situations will occur if they are separated rashly. ”

The alliance’s explosion-proof team didn’t buy it, they held up the arrest warrant for the old man to see.

Bai Chunian instead stood up and watched the action, turning to Bi Lanxing and Lu Yan with pleading eyes: “I want to accompany him to the hospital.”

Bi Lanxing could only watch in silence from the side. He knew that the juniors were often unable to intervene in this kind of matter, but him knowing didn’t mean that Lu Yan also did. Lu Yan immediately called his father and asked him to let Bai Chunian go back to the medical department with Rimbaud.

“Baby, don’t get involved in this matter.” The mature and low alpha voice on the phone replied with difficulty, “Your Yan father is already very angry, and soon you won’t be able to see me, your father.”

Lu Yan: “I don’t care.”

“……”

Bai Chunian saw the tall alpha sitting in the back row of the Phantom quietly discussing something with the president sitting beside him. The president nodded, and his rabbit ears wiggled indifferently.

There was a brief silence on the phone. After a few minutes, the Alliance Explosion-Proof Team received a new order from the president: let Bai Chunian go with the Alliance Medical Department’s car.

When Bai Chunian got into the medical department’s car in handcuffs, Rimbaud climbed in on his own and hid in the shadows beside Bai Chunian.

It was a bit inconvenient for Bai Chunian to wear handcuffs, so he adjusted his posture and let Rimbaud lie down in his arms to rest, holding Rimbaud’s head in the palm of his hands to avoid bumps on the road.

The moisturizing bandage wrapped around Rimbaud’s body was still dripping water, and it quickly wetted the clothing on Bai Chunian’s chest. It stuck uncomfortably to his chest, but he didn’t mind it.

In fact, the current Rimbaud was the most familiar to Bai Chunian. His appearance after being injected with Accelerant into maturity had never appeared even in Bai Chu Nian’s fantasies. When all was said and done, it was only a simulation of the hallucinogen. But Rimbaud’s cold, strong, and domineering personality after maturity was really sexy.

Bai Chunian hadn’t had a good rest for two days and his mind was a little muddled, but as soon as he closed his eyes, Rimbaud’s sexy and magnetic voice would go around inside his ears.

“I exhausted my pheromones to feed you to maturity and took the trouble to get you out of prison, and it turns out you’ve been holding a grudge against me all these years?”

Bai Chunian looked out of the car window, recalling all the details of the last time he was in the seawater.

That was when Rimbaud took the initiative to kiss the corner of his eye, responded to him during the kiss, and finally shot him through the heart.

Only the last thing was more like what Rimbaud could have done.

He asked the professor in the white coat sitting next to him: “Can you communicate with merfolk?”

The old professor was concentrating on recording the data on the testing instrument and casually replied: “I have studied the language of the merfolk species, and if it’s only a simple expression, then it’s possible.”

“Oh.”

There was silence in the vehicle for a few minutes, and Bai Chunian asked again: “Do you have any Accelerant hallucinogens?”

This time the old professor stopped what he was doing and pushed up his black-rimmed glasses in surprise: “You actually know about the Ac agent. It’s a catalytic enhancer invented for glandular cells. The full name is very long. I don’t think you’ll care so I won’t go into it.”

The old professor put down the instrument in his hand as if he had met a pedantic peer, and continued to talk incessantly: “It can promote the maturation and differentiation of glandular cells extremely quickly, but at present, it can only be tested on special warfare experimental subjects with strong physical fitness. Moreover, it has many side effects and is not stable. In short, it’s a kind of medicine that hasn’t been approved. If it appears on the market, the dealer will get jailed.”

Bai Chunian indeed didn’t care about those: “Is the human reaction after the injection a real reaction, or is it the effect of the hallucinogenic ingredients in it?”

“I’m not sure, because I haven’t come to a definite conclusion.” The old professor rubbed his chin, “However, I know that the synthesis process of this pharmaceutical agent used a sample of glandular tissue proliferation from an experimental subject, and this experimental subject has the ability to predict the future, so the effect of the pharmaceutical agent may be worth believing. Although I’m more inclined towards this answer, I can’t guarantee you.”

“Okay.” Bai Chunian relaxed his taut shoulders.

In fact, in the past three years, Bai Chunian spent many nights in loss and resentment. What he wanted was just for Rimbaud to personally tell him that it was just a misunderstanding, to have Rimbaud tell him that the huge wound left on his body was just a mistake, or that there was another reason. Even if it was a lie, Bai Chunian could continue to use this lie to weave a fond memory and fantasy for himself. That way, he would have a reason to be kinder to Rimbaud and to not be conflicted with his poor self-esteem when he couldn’t resist holding Rimbaud in his arms for comfort.

“Actually, the existence of this drug is a secret. How did you know about it?” The old professor didn’t realize that Bai Chunian was lost in thought. He was only interested in academic questions.

Bai Chunian came to his senses and replied truthfully: “Many people had it in the exam just now. Although it was only in a simulation, Rimbaud tried the drug’s efficacy, and within five seconds, he grew from cultivation stage to maturity stage. His ability to express and his behavior were incredibly smooth, and… he remembered the past and could recall everything in complete detail. ”

“Really.” The old professor took out the notepad from his chest pocket in confusion and wrote down the strange news. “Our entire Alliance Medical Department only has one sample of Ac potion. This potion was invented by the pharmacist ‘Hummingbird Aileen’ of the 109 Research Institute. During the delivery process, the president sent someone to intercept one. ”

“In fact, the ATWL examiners have always been neutral, and their test designers are very arrogant and like to take their original exam materials as capital to show off at old friends’ gatherings, never bothering to quote elements of other powers in the exam materials.” The old professor muttered to himself as he wrote down his thoughts on his old notepad, “I have an old friend who is one of the test designers for this year’s ATWL. You can pay him a visit with me sometime.”

“I don’t think I’ll be available.” Bai Chunian raised his hands and showed his handcuffs to the old professor, “I’m going back to jail once I’m done accompanying my omega.”
