"This is the last one."

< scrolls, a dismembered cat doll goes up in smoke, and a gold coin appears in its place and flies out of the tornado.

It falls just in front of me, and I grab it with one hand.

We had just finished defeating the cat dolls that appeared after that.

There are glittering gold coins scattered all over the ground. The scattered condition of the coins indicated that there were quite a few of them. It took quite a while.

For some reason, Hippopo, Rose, and the others could not be summoned from the scroll.

"Master Rust, what are we going to do about this?"

Roa asks as he picks up the gold coins at his feet.

"I've never seen gold like this before. I don't think it can be used as currency. And it may not be of good quality as a gold coin.

"Indeed. It is light for its size.

I respond to Ary's point with a nod.

"I think you should take it with you. This place is what we call a dungeon.

"Is that what you call a dungeon? In primordial times, there were countless...

I ask, searching my memory.

"Yes. The one where the special monsters boil and the treasures lie."

"But here, outside."

Roa's mysterious voice.

"Yeah, it looks like it's outside, but if you keep going, there should be an invisible wall or you'll be taken back to where you came from. That's what I know from the literature.

"So there is such a dungeon. So these cat dolls are dungeon monsters and disappear in a puff of smoke?

Ary replies on Roa's behalf.

"So you mean these gold coins are drops. I mean, Master Haruhammer just wants it for his research, right?"

Master Haruhammer affirms my quip with a laugh.

I gather up the fallen gold coins with a quick tornado and put them away in my backpack.

"Of course I want to use them for research, but if they are in a dungeon, there is also the possibility that I can use the drops for something."

Reverend Halhammer, who was watching the scene with a look of satisfaction on his face, said something like that.

I shrugged my shoulders lightly and proceeded to the building I had originally set as my destination.

That's when it happened.

A translucent plate suddenly appeared in front of me.

"What is this?" "Enemy? Unno?"

Ary and the other three were startled. They look over to see a translucent plate floating in front of their eyes as well. Moreover, they all seem to be able to see it.

"There is something written on it. Can Rust read it?"

I look back at the plate in front of me, as Reb Haruhammer tells me to do. There, in my eyes, was a double image of the words.

"Yes. Time's up."

That's when I told him. My vision switches.

It gets dark all at once.

I quickly looked around with familiar eyes and saw that I was in the underground ruins, in front of the wall where I had held the key to the magical crystal stone.

"Squeak!"

A thud. The top of my head suddenly feels heavy.

"Sailuke! I'm safe! Thank God. ...... get out of the way, it's heavy in there."

Sailuke dives on top of me from behind and I lift him up.

Everyone is happy for his safety as they surround him, lifting him up with both hands under his paws.

"Squeak, squeak, squeak!"

Through the bonds of the contract, Sailuke's emotions are conveyed. He seems to be trying to say that we were the ones who were worried about him.

"It seemed to Sailuke as if we suddenly disappeared. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."

Sailuke's tail brushes against my leg as I try to soothe him.

The laughter that naturally rises from everyone is cheerful.

I couldn't help but laugh along with them.
