"Kalin!"

I call out to her as I enter her office.

Kalin's staff members are huddled around a giant communications device, their heads together.

"Oh! Oh, Rust! I got your message that the Kagero Agency can take care of the wounded. Thank you.

Kalin approaches, weaving his way through the staff.

"Yeah. That's for Sherlur. So how's Ptarescu doing?"

I respond by lightly waving my hand sideways at Kalin. I'd better clear up any misunderstandings that might lead her to take credit for her subordinate's work.

"I see. But I suppose that's also a result of Rust's daily guidance. And. The damage to the capital is small considering the magnitude of the quake. Only here. Can you help us, Master Rust?

Kalin quickly unfolds a map and points to a point on it.

I glance at the spot on the map that Kalene points to and understand what is expected of me.

"Okay. I am certainly the right person for the job.

"Good. I can always count on you."

Karin pats me on the shoulder. She probably thinks she's going easy on me. It hurts.

"So, Rust. Except for the pterrescu. ......"

"Did you shake all over the continent?"

I'll try to confirm this as I take over from Kareen.

"How did you know that? ...... There are still some parts that have not been confirmed at night, but based on the information that is being gathered in King's Landing, it seems that Rust is right, and that there were tremors in quite a few places on the continent. The damage to neighboring countries is said to be especially severe. But you know, this information must not have left this room yet! We just got this information in King's Landing, too!

Kalin's eyes widen in surprise, but she still dutifully tells us. It is unusual for her to be so surprised.

"Actually, I have an idea about this ground shaking..." she says.

"What! Really?

Kalin bites down hard. Her face is close.

"Wait, wait. I don't know for sure. So, when you're done dealing with what's going on, I'd appreciate it if we could set up a time to talk.

I ask Kalin to help me with this point while I tell her I have an idea.

Karin stares up at me and looks into my eyes. The pressure in her sparkling eyes is incredible.

"That's a very unusual thing for Rust to say to you.

"Really?"

"Yeah. You wouldn't say something like that unless it was something serious, Rust. I know. It's true, right now our priority is to deal with the situation. I'll definitely make time for you when it's done. And when I do, you'll tell me everything!"

Karin stands tall and declares, pointing her finger at me. Bad manners.

"All right, all right. I'm the one who told you to do this. Let me talk it over with you. I'm going to go finish what you asked me to do. I'll be right back."

"It's not something a normal person would go back to right away. Thank you, Master Rust."

Sent away by Kalene's half-amused, half-abandoned smile, I leave the building where Kalene's office is located.

In order to hurry up as much as possible, I make Hippopo appear and straddle his back.
