I pass through the hole in the space with Roa.

The first thing that jumped out at me was the white.

It was a deserted room, white everywhere.

In front of the room was a large white chair that could seat several adults.

In that chair was Taura.

"Yes, this is the right place.

I muttered to myself and glanced at Roa. I had been worried that we might break apart as we passed through the hole, but it seems that my fears were unfounded.

Both of us let go of each other's hands, I take out a scroll and deploy it, and Roa holds up his spear.

We are both in a posture of utmost caution.

The room is quite large, but there are really only chairs. Not even a door is in sight.

Slowly, I move closer to the chair where Taura is sitting. Taura closes her eyes and leans back against the angular, also large, backrest. There is what appears to be a metal object covering her head.

A white cord-like object is bundled from the ceiling and connected to the headdress.

"Master Rust".

Roa's urgent whisper.

I stopped dead in my tracks and looked silently at the loa.

"I can't see. No clairvoyance. Farsightedness. All of it."

The magical element in Loa's eyes. And the eyeglass-shaped magical device seems to be working as usual, even though I can see it with my own eyes.

All of them, I suppose, means that I can't see everything in this room. It's quite painful, but it can't be helped.

I call out softly in a whisper.

"Taura. Taura!"

There is no response.

I look through the scrolls of "transcriptions" among the scrolls that I have unfolded.

Taura's condition was perfectly normal.

That's not right.

I move the scrolls to what seems to be a metal object, a string-like object, or a chair, which is covered by Taura's head.

It doesn't respond at all! It's as if it doesn't exist ......

I gawk at the result. There have been many things that I have not been able to read, but this is the first time that I have not been able to even recognize their existence.

I was prepared for the result, and reached for Taura's head as I spoke to Loa.

Loa. I can't read anything at all either. I don't know what's going to happen."

"Copy that."

That was all I could get from Roa, who was standing behind me, keeping an eye out for me. But now I feel a sense of dependability in that short speech.

My fingertips touch Taura's headdress.

It feels cool and I gently lift it off Taura's head.

It is at that moment that the numerous white strings extending from the headgear move. As if they were being reeled in, they were pulled back into the headdress with a great force.

For a moment, I was startled and stopped moving. However, I quickly regain my composure and turn the headgear over to observe the whole of it.

It is strange. It is quite light for a metal, and there are no joints at all. I can't even tell where all the strings have gone.

As I stare at it, a voice calls out to me.

"Master Rust!"

Roa's inorganic voice.

"Yes, I'm sorry."

Reflexively, he immediately apologizes and shoves his headdress into his backpack.

The eloquent eyes of Roa watch him.

I try to hold back the urge to excuse myself, saying that it is not only my intellectual curiosity that makes me bring this with me.

He activates another scroll that is deployed.

"Revealed Rose."

I wasn't sure if I could do it, but I think I can.

Rose tendrils overflow from the scroll and gently envelop Taura's still unconscious body, lifting her out of the chair.

"Nothing's happening. Loa, let's get out of here."

There was no reaction when I pulled Taura out of the chair. The lack of response is so unnerving that it makes me feel alarmed.

"...... yes."

There is a pause in Loa's reply. I guess he feels uncomfortable with something too easy as I do.

We exchange glances and run in a straight line to the hole in the space where we came from.

Almost there. Three more steps... one more step...

We went to the hole in the space with Rose who wrapped Taura in her arms.

We run through.

The next moment, we were back in the cave of the three seats of iniquity where we had been.

"Is everything all right?"

Loa turns to me and confirms it.

"No, I don't think that's a good idea. The hole won't close."

I could only return the bad news, unfortunately.
