After the tense "talk" with Ary, which I had survived with pancake power, I had returned to my room after my scheduled report to Kareen.

Unfortunately, Karin had suggested that I might have to accompany Her Highness Lily on her return to King's Landing.

If it is a business order, it cannot be helped.

But I am sure that I do not feel very comfortable with it.

However, there is a possibility that His Highness Lily may not keep the memory of the three unjust seats completely intact in the future.

What is still of concern is the fact that His Highness Lily, who was a member of the unjust Third Seat, cooperated with Sailuke in his efforts to win points. And that she wanted to destroy the world and was hostile to the sorceress. More importantly, she wanted the homunculus component, the sword clad in pure light, so badly. That means he knew something.

I had to come to the conclusion that it would not be a good idea to leave Her Highness Lily unattended in case something should happen to her.

"I mean, I don't think that other demons would attack her to keep her mouth shut..."

I deny myself the prediction that suddenly occurs to me. The sorcerer must not have known that His Highness Lily was a member of the unjust three seats. Then, it would be all right.

Fortunately, we have a few days before the departure of His Highness Lily.

I start to work on what I can do in the meantime.

"Well, well. Rose. How's it going?"

I ask Rose, whose roots are wandering around in the large culture tank, and whose ivy is waving lazily.

Rose, who had been grumpy and petal-piercing when I pruned the damaged parts for the reconstruction, seems to have recovered after a few days in my room from the laboratory of the Kagero Institution.

Even now, she is pulling out her ivy-tip from the culture tank and waving it slowly from side to side.

"Deployment," "Transcription," - yes, everything is going well. I'll lower the concentration of the solution's chemicals a bit and add some nutrients... Oh, I'll prune this part here ......."

Rose retracts into the solution with a shrug of her ivy-tips at my words.

"Rose, this is really the last time. Come on, you've got to do it right, or it's going to be a slow healing process."

Rose shakes the only part of the flower that is left out of the culture tank violently from side to side to show her disapproval.

From there, the usual exchange ensues.

In the end, she reluctantly stretches the damaged part.

─ ─ Since the body tissues are rapidly reconstructed, these parts inevitably appear, don't you think? This is something we will have to work on in the future. For Rose's peace of mind.

I think about these things as I quickly remove the damaged parts.

"There, that's it! Good job, Rose."

With a swish, the ivy is pulled back into the culture tank again, and Rose looks relieved.

I watched her with a wry smile and went to the desk where I had placed the broken spear of Roa that I was about to work on next.
