I look again at the state of Roa's beloved spear.

The scroll of the "transcription", still unfurled, moves slowly back and forth over the broken spear as I move.

Loa's spear, with its mouthpiece loosened and ears removed.

"I thought you said the hilt was made of a plant-type monster. ......"

A kind of torrent-type monster that inhabits the homelands of Ary and Roa was said to have been the material used to make them. It was a particularly large monster, and the handles of both Arli's and Loa's spears were carved from the same monster.

Looking at the spear handles in the scroll of transcriptions, the metal ion content is quite high, probably containing magical elements.

"This material must have been ideal for the way Roa and his men fight, cloaked in magical elements. The problem is that we can't get the material for a similar plant-type monster. ......"

I'm scratching my head.

To put magic element into the material itself is one of the specialties of alchemy, but to make the material itself easy to pass the magic element is something else.

"This ear itself is perfectly fine, so I was thinking of getting a new pattern. ......"

I put the spearhead of the loa in my hand on the desk once, and then I went through the material I had accumulated in my backpack once more.

"Strong enough. It should be of adequate weight and large enough to hold the shaft of the spear. And a material that allows magic elements to pass through it. ......"

The machine is repeatedly rummaged through, taken out, and put away.

"It's gone. I guess we'll just have to create it.

I take out a scroll for notes and begin to write down the necessary specifications, possible means, and possible ideas.

"Even if we want to refine it, we don't have the materials after all. Besides, joining them together would greatly reduce their strength. ...... Yeah, a smelted beast."

A pen that had been stopped with a snap. He moves it quickly and writes down the ideas that come to him.

"Can we go for this? The magic stone itself is to be consumed, or in this case ingested and activated, and if so, the overall shape - since Loa prefers relatively light objects to be used as weapons - then, like Rose, part of it is to be placed in the space beyond the scroll of manifestation."

I look at Rose wavering in front of me and add additional ideas.

"Done."

I review the scroll again after it has been written.

"I think I can make it if I stay up all night for a couple of days.

When I was sure I had a sufficient stock of stamina potions, I rolled up the scroll in my hand and headed with great enthusiasm to the laboratory of the Kagero Institute.
