I look again at the state of Roa's beloved spear.
The scroll of the "transcription", still unfurled, moves slowly back and forth over the broken spear as I move.
Loa's spear, with its mouthpiece loosened and ears removed.
"I thought you said the hilt was made of a plant-type monster. ......"
A kind of torrent-type monster that inhabits the homelands of Ary and Roa was said to have been the material used to make them. It was a particularly large monster, and the handles of both Arli's and Loa's spears were carved from the same monster.
