Roa's outstretched spear slides through the gaps between the craggy scales and slides into the huge body of the creature.

The fish-shaped monster jumps with a jerk, and then immediately goes limp and weak. It seems that Roa's thrust had destroyed it in exactly the right place.

We had come to the river near the encampment to try out our new magic tools.

"Good. Roa lightly lifted the bridge of the spectacle-shaped mage and muttered, "Very good.

With his action, the mage should have shifted to the mode of sealing the unusual power.

It seems that the performance of the spectacles has been checked to his satisfaction.

Roa stands in the river with his hem up and his spear in his hand. Behind him, on the riverbank, there was a pile of fish-shaped monsters, all of which had died after a single thrust.

All of them are the same kind of fish, which Ary calls armored salmon. Their scales were unusually well-developed, and they looked as if they were covered with rugged rocks. The scales seem to be so hard that even Kalin's strong arm could not break them with a single blow.

Apparently, they have been coming up the river in large numbers recently after Hippopo defeated the catfish-type monster that used to be the mainstay of the pond.

As I think about this, I see Roa, who has put back his hem and wiped his feet, has finished putting on his shoes.

His clothes seem to be almost dry after having killed so many armored salmon.

Roa walks toward us. I spread out the various tools I had prepared for fine-tuning their magic tools and waited with Hippopo. I had expected that there would be requests for various improvements when they were used in actual battle.

"Good," is all Loa can say.

"Well... ....... Did you have any inconvenience? Switching between modes. Or the glasses shifting in battle."

"No."

"Rohr, you're being disrespectful to Master Rust. Ary intercedes.

Roa looks thoughtful. The cloth covering his face is completely rolled up and secured, giving us a good view of his rather round face.

Behind the square type frame of the magic tool, his eyes seem to be staring at something.

"It suppresses the activation of the magic eye as desired, so I can see the world very well. Switching between clairvoyant mode and farsighted mode is smooth. The voice control is convenient, but the touch control is safer. The right hand uses the spear. If possible, I would like to operate everything with the left side of the vine," said Rohr, pointing to the metal part between the left frame and the ear.

"Okay. I respond, thanking Arri for his help.

Roa covers his face with the cloth again and hands me the glasses-shaped magic tool.

I quickly set the grimoire in the equipment I had prepared and rewrite the magic circuits. The only thing to be rewritten, however, is to combine the left and right contact operations into one side. The process is completed in a matter of minutes.

"Okay, it's done," I say, handing the magical tool to Roa.

He puts on the glasses-shaped magical tool and pulls up the cloth covering his face again, kicking off his shoes as if to take them off.

He looks like a child who has been given a toy.

In no time, Loa jumps into the river again.

Arri and I look at each other and laugh.

Ary, too, had rolled up the cloth covering his face and was wearing a spectacle-type magic device over his left eye.

The large round frames completely covered Ary's left eye, which was the one that contained his future-seeing magic eye.

The next moment. Ary held out his spear. The magical material attached to the tip of the spear extends out smoothly.

Sucked into the tip of the extended magical element, an armored salmon breaks the surface of the water and flies out.

The armored salmon is pierced by the magic element's spear from its open mouth to its tail.

It must have been a result of the way Arri acted as he saw it, for he could see where it was going to jump out.

When I glanced to the side, his expression was somewhat happy.

They must be sisters after all.

Ary glances at me lightly as I think about this.

─ ─ Could it be that the magical eye of future vision is being activated outside of battle? Do you see the future if I slip up and leak my innermost thoughts?

"No. But you're a little right," Ary replied to my inner voice with a clear face.
