I was with Hippopo and Loa in the wilderness. A sailor cruise is flying lazily above us.

A short distance away was a river. It flows near our camp. It had been a few days since we had been following the river downstream.

Occasionally, armored salmon would jump out of the river and attack. Other than that, the monsters we encounter are all familiar: ivy snakes, twin lynghorns, and hellhorses.

When Karin gave me this new job, I was looking forward to getting some new materials, so I am a little short so far.

The monster attacks themselves are easily repelled by Roa's magic eye and Hippopo's ability to deal with them. Sailuke is looking on from a high place.

Roa is still keeping a watchful eye on the surroundings. You can literally see the sparkle of magical elements in his magical eye.

The magic of the glasses seems to be in good shape. She seems to be able to operate clairvoyance and farsightedness at the same time within her own limits without any difficulty.

When I am secretly satisfied with the performance of my magic tool, I suddenly feel the scent of the sea that tickles my nostrils.

"Master Rust!"

"Yeah, the ocean looks close," I reply to Loa.

"Yes. So it looks like there are people fighting up ahead," says Roa, looking ahead.

"What? No way. If it's a mimic of a monster or something... then how would Roa know?

Roa nodded silently.

"Hmm. Okay, let's be on the lookout and get there as soon as possible.

Roa nodded his head and said, "Okay.

I get on the hippopotamus and give my hand to Loa. Roa grabs my hand and rides behind me.

A few minutes ago, I would have told him I was going for a run and he would have refused.

I pat Hippopo's back twice as I think about this.

On my signal, Hippopo accelerates. The soil seems to be a little different from the wilderness we have passed through so far, probably because of the proximity to the sea. There seems to be less dust flying up in the air.

The soil seems to be a bit different from the wilderness we have been through so far.

"There it is!" Roa tells me from behind with his spear.

The ocean is just coming into view.

I change the course of the hippopotamus to the direction indicated by Roa.

Hippopo is getting closer and closer to the site.

It appears to be fighting in the surf. The sound of swords clashing can be heard over the sound of the waves. The figures that come into view look as if they have been washed up after being lost at sea. There are multiple beings attacking them. They have fish faces and human-like bodies. They appear to be half-fish. Moreover, all of them have weapons in their hands.

As we get closer, we can see the details of the fighting figures. The most conspicuous is the silver hair, which reflects the sunlight even when it is covered in sand and salt.

And they are dressed in blue, like priestly robes.

"Is that Taura?

I can't help but let out a surprised squeak.

I am still wondering why Taura is fighting in such a place when he had said he was heading for the capital.

However, I thought that I had to save her first and foremost, so I hurried to rush Hippopo in. Hippopo kicks away the half-fish that were attacking Taura.

"Taura! Are you okay?"

"Le sto. Why are you here ......?" Taura's voice was weak.

I jumped down from Hippopo and deployed the Scroll of Transcription to check on Taura's condition.
