"Haha… I'm the puppet master, but the controllers of the puppets are these guys…" he said while pointing at the several people behind him.

If the controllers are killed, a bunch of these golems will fall. And if the puppet master is killed then all of them will be rendered useless.
This is the weakness of these things. Since the puppet master should not be away from his puppets at a certain distance, he would still be exposed.
