For the mini festival of sorts that was being hosted at Shirakawa High, Mai had told Takei in advance to wear his school uniform. It would apparently make it easier for teachers to keep track of who came from where.
There would be many other students from other schools coming as well, so several different looking uniforms would be all over the place.
Even though it was disguised as a fundraiser, there was no doubt that it was a try and true festival.
Being mostly run and managed by students, this fundraising event was sure to be a fun time for all.
As Takei was thinking about this, a pair of hands covered his eyes and obscured his vision.
"Guess who it is!"
A familiar voice tickled his ears from behind.
After being with her everyday for two long months, there was no way Takei wouldn't know who this mystery person was.
"Let me guess... Akari?"
"Yep!"
The hands that were blocking his vision slowly retracted due to his correct answer.
Takei turned around and observed the goddess's visage.
The familiar looking school uniform that he saw almost everyday somehow looked radiant on her today.
He was one hundred percent sure that Akari would be glowing if this was a manga world.
Putting aside the radiant allure to her, Akari's hair was as dazzling as always.
The sheer attention to detail really proved how high of a being the goddess was.
An unreal soft texture could always be a perfect description for her luscious golden hair.
Along with her ocean blue eyes that just drew you in, Takei couldn't take his gaze off of her.
"I'll get embarrassed if you stare any longer?"
A bashful voice helped break Takei out of his trance.
He quickly remembered that he was at a train station gawking at a pretty girl in front of him.
Akari seemed to be fidgeting and twirling her hair around as a result.
"I'm so sorry."
Takei made an exaggerated bow and apologized profusely.
He made a regretful expression appear on his face in order to complete the whole act.
Seeing how regretful his expression was, Akari winced a bit and immediately regretted her actions.
"W-w-wait! I didn't say you had to stop! You can look every once in a while..."
Takei laughed at how flustered Akari had gotten due to his (not) sincere apology.
Akari looked at him with tears in her eyes as she realized that Takei wasn't being serious the whole time.

Akari leaned her head on Takei's shoulder without saying a single word.
The fragrance that she was giving off was slowly killing Takei's senses. It was incredibly alluring which ended up making Takei's sense of reason disappear.
Leaning in even further, Akari moved her face to less than an inch away from Takei's face.
"I'll have my payback later, okay?"
Whispering in his ear, Akari seductively teased him and breathed into his ear.

It was at this time that Takei realized that he would not survive the train ride there.

Arriving at Shirakawa High School, the duo showed their tickets at the gate and received their wristbands for the day.
Entering through the gates, a whole haven of fun was in front of their very eyes.
Stalls of games and food were lined up in a neat row with many vendors waiting for customers.
Both of them were excited to explore the place, but Takei needed to meet up with a friend first.
Checking the directions on his phone, Takei pointed towards the left side of the campus.
"She should be over there. Let's hurry and meet up with her."
As if planned beforehand, Takei extended his hand towards Akari and insisted on her holding it.
"There's a lot of people here, so please hold on tight..."
Seeing the bashful expression on Takei's face made Akari's mood exponentially better.
She grabbed onto Takei's hand and squeezed it firmly.
Feeling the heat transfer from each other's hands, both of them began to blush faintly.
They then walked through the high school corridors to reach a certain classroom that was supposed to be a rendezvous point of sorts.
There was a long line outside of the classroom, and it was for a very good reason.
"A maid cafe?"
Akari seemed apprehensive about the appearance of a place where men would gather to gawk at girls.
She didn't have the confidence to make Takei only look her way yet, so she was justified in her reasoning.
They walked up to near the front of the line, which earned them some looks of ire from the people waiting in the line. Luckily for Takei though, his partner being the goddess helped alleviate some of the tension that was building.
At the front of the line, there was a familiar girl that was recently acquainted with Takei.
"Hey, you guys made it!"
Mai Kawashima waved her hand at the duo that was slowly approaching the front of the line.
Takei waved back at her and gave her a wry smile.
"Yep, wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Somehow that feels like a lie..."
While the two bantered as if they were old friends, Akari seemed a bit displeased at their exchange.
She pulled Takei back towards her and stared at him with jealousy burning in her eyes.
"Mou, why are you flirting when I'm right next to you..."
Akari pouted and looked at Takei as if he was a cheating husband.

Not knowing how to respond, Takei decided to stay silent for now. He decided to ignore her for the current moment and focus on the event that was happening in front of them.
"Are there any open seats right now?"
He wanted to see what the maid cafe was all about, so he hoped Mai would have something open for him.
"Hm, oh perfect! A spot just opened up for you guys. I'll lead you to it right away!"
Mai motioned for them to enter the classroom as she opened the door.
Takei followed her while also dragging along the reluctant Akari.
On the inside, he reassured himself that he was in no way in the wrong.
