When So-Won lowered his head, he saw Si-Hyuk’s business card that he still held in his hand without thinking.

Si-Hyuk’s wavelength was stable.

If there’s a well-managed wavelength, So-Won thinks it’ll be like this.

Tae-Woo went to the gate just a few days ago, and after that, his veins got so bad that they swelled up that he was wearing three guiding machines. If such Tae-Woo entered the gate with such a small number of people, it was clear that he would be burdened again. If he had been a good guide, Tae-Woo could have easily cleared these gates.

So-Won bit his lips.

So-Won tried to crumple the business card in his hand with a distorted expression, but was forced to put it in his pocket.

It wasn’t a good personality like the rumor, but So-Won didn’t think it would be bad to have his contact information because there might be something helpful for Tae-Woo.

So-Won doesn’t like it, but anyway, Choi Si-Hyuk is one of the only three S-level Esper in Korea.

“Guide Lee So-Won, let me guide you to your private waiting room.”

So-Won got up from his seat as if he had been waiting.

So-Won thinks he’s been sitting for a long time, but when he checked the time, only a few minutes had passed.

Other Guides gaze could be felt by So-Won, who followed the staff from the waiting room.

For some reason, So-Won felt like the eyes were criticizing him, so he hurried his steps and left the waiting room.

“The private waiting room is this way.”

The private waiting room was located in a quiet place in the corner of the center where people rarely come in and out. When the door, which was no different from the general hospital room, opened, the interior was neatly organized like a hotel.

It felt smaller than where So-Won stayed in Incheon, but he liked the comfortable atmosphere.

“Then make yourself at home.”

“Thank you.”

‘Finally’

So-Won, who was really alone, flung himself onto a bed with a white sheet and took a big breath.

“Tae-Woo, will you be okay?” So-Won muttered and opened his eyes that he had closed for a while.

By now, Tae-Woo, who arrived at the gate, would have noticed that the number of Esper was also greatly insufficient.

So-Won has been feeling uncomfortable since he let Tae-Woo go.

So-Won thought he was too stubborn to follow Tae-Woo for no reason.

Tae-Woo would have been more comfortable coming alone, but he dropped his cell phone like a fool and made him meet Choi Si-Hyuk.

But he only guided by holding hands, so it would have been better to follow.

It became even more gloomy when So-Won remembered the attitude that Si-Hyuk, an S-class Esper give Tae-Woo, was ignoring him.

Although So-Won was not afraid of Si-Hyuk like everyone else, he did not forget the act of how Si-Hyuk treated Tae-Woo like a filthy monster.

So-Won looked at the place where he was caught by Si-Hyuk, recalling what Si-Hyuk said.

There was still a throbbing sensation.

Suddenly, So-Won remembered the face Si-Hyuk encountered as he left.

A pale, sickly-looking woman in a wheelchair. They seemed quite close since Si-Hyuk was pushing the wheelchair himself.

So-Won had never seen Si-Hyuk’s guide, but he thought she would be Choi Si-Hyuk’s guide.

‘he is probably just teasing me.’

Si-Hyuk, who already has a guide, had no reason to suggest a matching test to So-Won.

He clearly said to take a matching test seemed to stimulate Tae-Woo.

So-Won didn’t think Tae-Woo would care at all.

So-Won, who became bitter for no reason, lay on the bed and looked around the room.

The private waiting room had everything So-Won needed during his brief stay.

So-Won, who found a coffee machine in the corner, drank a cup of espresso.

As the dark bitterness ran down So-Won’s throat, his mind cleared.

The melancholy atmosphere seemed to have gotten a little better.

Time passed slowly.

It has been a long time since Tae-Woo left, and the sky that So-Won looked at was dark.

So-Won held his cell phone and waited for Tae-Woo to contact him because it seemed like it was time for him to leave the gate.

Time passed so slowly during the day. While waiting for Tae-Woo’s call, time passed in a blink of an eye.

The clock was going toward midnight, but the cell phone was quiet.

The reason why Tae-Woo is late may be due to the number of Esper, which is far too insufficient, but the anxiety of So-Won has deepened.

No matter how long So-Won waited, when he didn’t hear from Tae-Woo, he began to think of worries he had barely forgotten.

‘Is he not feeling well?’

So-Won knows Tae-Woo is not dying today, but he is still worried.

So-Won had no idea how bad his condition would be. What would happen to him in the gate today, when he would come out of the gate.

So-Won didn’t know that Choi Si-Hyuk had to go to the gate where Tae-Woo was dispatched today and that there were not many Esper to assist him.

So-Won couldn’t ignore it anymore when he came up with it.

So-Won, who was staring out of the window with anxious eyes, trembled at the sudden vibration.

As the vibration continued for a long time, So-Won, who came to his senses, held his phone in a hurry while stuttering.

When So-Won hurriedly put his cell phone to his ear, So-Won felt the other side of the quiet phone.

“Hello?”

“This is Kang Tae-Woo.”

So-Won once again checked the name on the screen even though he knew that the caller was Kang Tae-Woo.

Fortunately, Tae-Woo seemed to have returned safely after finishing the attack, seeing that the answer he heard was not Tae-Woo’s strained voice like last time.

It didn’t even look as bad as So-Won was worried.

“I’m in the center parking lot. I’ll be waiting, so you can slowly come out.”

“No! I’ll be right down!”

So-Won thought he would contact him after Tae-Woo left the gate, but he was in a hurry because he had called him after he had already arrived.

So-Won, who hung up, hurried out of the private room because he didn’t want Tae-Woo to wait.

So-Won could check out right away because he didn’t have any luggage he brought and his room was not messy.

When So-Won came out of the building, the cool night air greeted him.

So-Won was about to head straight to Tae-Woo’s place when he noticed that the surroundings were noisy.

So-Won, who stopped walking, turned his head to the place where an urgent voice was heard.

“It’s serious!”

“Move to the operating room and get a guide quickly!”

So-Won saw a glimpse of the combat uniforms that Espers wore, when they were sent to the gate.

So-Won could not easily take his eyes off because it reminded him of Tae-Woo. When he found blood droplets dripping to the ground, his body stiffened.

It was Esper who would have been to the same gate as Tae-Woo.

There was a lot of blood on the floor, as if several injured people had already been carried.

As people disappeared into the center, the painful moan gradually faded away.

So-Won didn’t think he would have easily clear the gate, but he felt heavy when he saw this in person.

So-Won was also worried that Tae-Woo might have been hurt.

So-Won managed to shake off his anxiety by recalling Tae-Woo’s distant voice.

It may be difficult to distinguish it in the dark because it is black, but foreign cars, which boast hundreds of millions of units, stood out unlike other cars even though they were the same color.

So-Won ran and got on the passenger seat.

The tingling wave was the first to greet So-Won.

“Good work.”

“Sorry for being late.”

“Yes, I said I’d come with you. How are you feeling?”

“I’m fine.” Tae-Woo replied,

“You didn’t seem to be in a bad condition, but I couldn’t easily let go of my worries because I just saw another Esper injured.” So-Won added.

The wavelength felt from the side was not much different from usual.

It would be nice if So-Won could be relieved like this, but he only felt the waves he felt when his body did not touch him.

“Can I check it out?”

” All right….”

So-Won, who received Tae-Woo’s permission, reached out. The moment his finger touched Tae-Woo’s arm, he was startled.

So-Won felt a burning pain, because he believed in the words of Tae-Woo that he was okay, he was relaxed.

So-Won was surprised by the strong stimulus that suddenly flowed in and hurriedly let go of Tae-Woo’s arm.

So-Won’s face was stained with embarrassment.

When So-Won looked up at Tae-Woo, Tae-Woo’s face felt exceptionally dark.

“Let me turn on the light for a second.”

After a couple of futile attempts, the finger that found the indoor light switch pressed the button.

The surroundings brightened with claps and sounds.

Now So-Won could see Tae-Woo’s face properly.

Tae-Woo looked pale.

Even though it was the usual blunt expression, something was different.

Looking closely at Tae-Woo’s face, So-Won realized that the veins around his eyes were more spread around him.

The color also became a little darker, so the area around the eyes looked darker.

So-Won lowered his gaze and checked Tae-Woo’s hand.

Fortunately, the veins did not swell, but when So-Won put his hand over it, he felt that the blood vessels were hardened.

“…….” So-Won was silent for a moment.

Tae-Woo said he was okay, but he wasn’t.

Of course, it was certainly better than last time, but it was not a state of relief.
