Emily thought hard for a moment. Then, feeling somewhat embarrassed, she said, "I know I was wrong about this issue. I shouldn't have spoken so impulsively just now, but you also have to consider this in turn. Beryl has been taking self-defense classes for a long time, and I think that this asserted in her actions. We should consider if this is useful to her or not. We can give up on these classes if they are not useful. Beryl should acquire some actual combat experience if it proves that her learning of free combat has some benefit."

Hearing what Emily said, Jacob sighed. He was always the first to compromise when it came to the woman he loved.

"Where are you taking her?" Jacob asked Emily as he cast a glance at Amy, who was sitting beside Emily.

"Let's take her to our home first. I've been really busy recently. I didn't attend any psychological counselling last week, and I have been feeling a little uncomfortable recently. I'll invite Dr. Tang to our home for a session today. Then, Amy can go back with her mother."

Hearing that Emily had been feeling a little uncomfortable recently, Jacob looked at her anxiously and, with a little guilt in his tone, he queried, "Why didn't you tell me about this earlier?"

"I'm fine. Let's just go home now."

Compared to Beryl, Amy had a much quieter nature. She was sitting to the side, absorbed in her own silence.

When they got out of the car and Jacob walked towards the villa with Beryl in his arms, Amy lightly tugged at the corner of Emily's clothes.

Emily lowered her head and looked at Amy with puzzlement. "What's wrong, dear?"

"Auntie, please don't tell my mom what happened today. Can you do that?" Amy said in a low voice.

Amy wasn't all that familiar with Emily, but she knew that her mother often came to treat this lady. She was afraid that if her mother found out what had happened, she would worry about her.

Emily looked at the shy girl with immense sympathy. She suddenly understood what Amy was thinking. Her heart ached with pity for the little girl then. After thinking about it, she considered that it must be really difficult for Taylor to take care of a child all alone, so she had even more sympathy for Taylor.

"Well, okay, I won't tell your mother, but you can't let others bully you in th

led drugs. If a patient doesn't take them, they must be recycled and accounted for. But you needn't pay for the unused drugs."

Seeing that a nervous look had settled on Taylor's face, Emily felt a little embarrassed. She scratched her head awkwardly and said, "I was just asking out of curiosity. I'll go fetch you the medicine now."

With that, she walked to the bedside table and took out the small white medicine bottle from the drawer. But Emily hadn't screwed the bottle cap on tightly. As the medicine bottle suddenly fell out of Emily's hand and dropped on the carpet, all the white pills inside spilled out, scattering all over the floor.

Taylor was more nervous than Emily about the mishap. She trotted over to kneel down and pick up the pills with a strange determination.

Emily looked at Taylor apologetically. "Dr. Tang, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. Don't worry about the cost of the pills. I will gladly pay for them."

Taylor also realized that she had overreacted and was a little out of control. She smiled in embarrassment and bashfully responded, "It's okay, but these pills are really..."

"Dr. Tang, I know what you mean." Emily carefully handed the white bottle cap to Taylor.

Taylor finished picking up the rest of the pills without saying anything else.

Looking at the gentle Taylor, Emily hesitated for a moment but then asked, "Dr. Tang, can I ask you a personal question?"

"What is it?" Taylor questioned with a guarded tone slipping into her voice.

"Where is Amy's father?"
