Ever since Jacob came back from abroad, his main goal was to find as much time as he could to stay at home. Last time, he had been unable to accompany Emily when she had been in dire need of someone's support. His heart ached while thinking about her health, and he made a firm decision to never repeat the mistake. He knew Emily needed attention the most at the present moment.

The company Love and Dream had been going through a troublesome situation, which had put too much pressure on Emily. Jacob was aware of the periodic relapses of Emily's mental illness. If things were to continue as before, he was afraid that the consequences wouldn't be good. Fortunately, Jacob was aware of the fact that there was a close connection between Emily's emotions and her illness. As long as she had her family members' company, she would gradually recover.

Although Emily had been urging him to go back to the company to deal with the businesses, Jacob was still unwilling to leave. He sat and acted as a servant to Emily all day long, which melted and frustrated her at the same time. Was it necessary for him to do this just because of some trivial matters at home? Who would take care of the company if both of them were to sit back and rest? Jacob just shook his head at her reaction, ignoring her pleas for him to leave home. He knew that Emily's mental condition wasn't stable, especially at night. She would wake up in the middle of the night, covered in sweat and tears, because of a nightmare. Jacob's heart would break whenever he saw her trembling figure every single night.

In recent days, Emily's eyes didn't carry dark circles anymore. She was smiling more often, and her nightmares had also decreased. Jacob would always accompany her so that she would seldom face emotional turmoil.

As Taylor had said before, family members' love and embrace was the best medicine for Emily. One morning, Jacob went to the Ke Family's manor to pick their children up and bring them back home. He knew Emily loved them, and thus, he intended to give her a surprise.

For Jacob, Emily had improved a lot. She hadn't fallen victim to depression often in recent days. It was because of Jacob's love and care that Emily felt a strong sense of security, and she did not need to worry about anything. The only thing she needed to do was to enjoy their sweet life. That's why her schedule had been slacked off, and instead, she woke up at 9 o'clock every morning.

Her everyday routine started from the point of waking up, and she would head downstairs to eat food with Jacob. That day, she thought it would be the same when she rubbed her delicate eyes. She walked downstairs, thinking Jacob would be alone. Who would have thought that Jacob had planned a surprise for her behind her back? That's why, when she happened to see three children around the table, she stared at them with wide-open eyes for a long time.

When Bowen and Beryl heard someone's footsteps, they raised their heads in uniso

the children were with you, there was never any problem, but whenever they were alone with me, something terrible happened to them. It's all my fault..."

Hearing the conversation between her father and mother, Beryl bit her lips. She wanted to say something to calm her dear mother down. Beryl looked up at her mother with a gentle gaze. "Mom, I have never blamed you. I know both you and Daddy are the ones who love me most in this world..."

She tried to comfort her mother, but Emily became even more emotional. The less they blamed her, the more remorseful she felt. Emily shed more tears, making Jacob's shirt wet once again. Her voice was hoarse and loud this time. She cried so much as if it was the time when she suffered immense pain in her lower abdomen because of mensuration. Even Jacob was shocked after seeing her reaction, and he wondered what was exactly going on in Emily's head.

Bowen cried even louder after hearing Emily's shrill. Beryl also joined him, even though the little girl had always been optimistic. How could Baron sit back and eat nicely when his entire family was crying? He pushed the spoon back and started crying loudly.

In the blink of an eye, the entire hall was filled with their cries. Jacob could feel that Emily's body was trembling all over again in his embrace.

Jacob pursed his lips when he saw the situation before his eyes. For a moment, he didn't know what to do. He clearly felt that it hadn't been a good idea to bring their children back. It hadn't had a positive effect on Emily. Instead, she had fallen into a devastating emotional turmoil. Even the kids had started wailing with their mother. He looked at Beryl sitting on the chair, and a thought crossed his mind. "Beryl, take your younger brother and sister to your room!"

He eyed the nanny, gesturing her to follow the kids. Two minutes later, the hall had only two people: Emily and Jacob, clasped in a tight embrace. He rubbed her arms and brought her into another room.
