Taylor was stunned. She had to admit that the girl who was standing in front of her was unbelievably attractive. Even as a woman, Taylor could not keep herself from staring at her.

When Louis saw Taylor's reaction, he finally realized that he had forgotten to introduce the stranger whom he had brought with him. He smiled as he began, "This is..."

Before he could say, "Janet, from the Lin family," Janet interrupted him. "I'm Janet Lin, Louis's fiancée."

Louis opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out.

'Really? Did she actually volunteer that information just now?' Louis thought.

He felt like throwing up. 'What on earth is she planning?' He had seen a lot of her overbearing behaviors. Today, they were only making a big show of being a couple for the benefit of Louis's family.

Everywhere they had gone, she had never admitted that she was his fiancée. Why had she suddenly seemed to transform into an entirely different person today?

When Taylor heard Janet's self-introduction, she felt her heart begin to thump, which baffled her. She knew that there was no reason for her to feel the way that she did in response to the situation. For a moment, she wondered about her sanity.

She was well aware that there was supposed to be nothing going on between Louis and her. Quickly, she reminded herself that she was only a doctor hired by his family.

A trace of bitterness crept into her face. She had made the right decision after all, it seemed.

But why had she had that strange feeling just now? That feeling was far from good.

Janet put her arm around Louis's and winked at him. Only then did he finally come to his senses, and he quickly assumed the part that he played in their little show.

She had done that to make things more believable. However, linking arms with Louis had only made the whole thing feel silly.

Louis wanted to fill the silence, but after he said, "I..." he choked.

He realized that what Janet had said was true. She was indeed his fiancée, alth

nd nodded with a gentle smile. Pretending to be very close friends with Nora, she said, "Okay, okay. I'll listen to you, but you need to pay for my next beauty treatment!"

"Of course!"

Eventually, the uneasiness wore off. Nora and Taylor smiled at each other, and all four of them slowly but smoothly engaged in conversation.

Soon, the waiter arrived with the coffee. When the waiter left, Janet took a tiny sip of her coffee and then, without warning, locked Louis in an embrace. "Wow, Louis! The coffee here is amazing! We have to visit this place again next time!" she exclaimed.

Hearing what she had said, Louis smiled. He took a sip of his coffee and kept it in his mouth for a while. He was thinking about Taylor. He wondered how she was feeling now that he and Janet were being intimate right in front of her. Subconsciously, he glanced at her but found no expression on her face aside from indifference.

Somehow, he felt disappointed. He swallowed the coffee, shook himself free from Janet's embrace, and frowned. "Have a little self-control. We are in public. Let's not be too intimate, please."

However, his words did not stop her. She grasped his arm even tighter and said in a flirtatious tone, "You are my fiance. No one has the right to stop me from hugging you. I'll do it whenever I want to, wherever I want to."
