After being locked up for days, Carlos was finally allowed to leave the house. The deal his parents had made him was that he would go on a good date with Cherish.

Carlos suddenly snapped out of his thoughts and came back to his senses. He cleared his throat and shook his head slightly. "Nothing... Yes, that was my mother. She asked me to treat you well and come back home a little late tonight..."
His voice trailed off as he spoke, but Cherish caught the subtext of his words. A shy smile appeared at the corners of her mouth as her cheeks turned red. She blushed like a teenager, but Carlos was in no mindset to even smile back at her.
He was only thinking of how to make an excuse to leave quickly and somehow get her on board so his parents would think he was still out with Cherish. This was the only way he could meet Nora.

You know my father is in charge of the government, but it has always been his wish to enter the business world. I have been preparing for this project for a long time so I could surprise him.
