The doctors waved Louis goodbye with stiff smiles on their faces. They watched him get into Jacob's car.

After Jacob had packed up all of Louis's belongings in the hospital, he and Emily also got into the car.

When the car drove from the hospital, Emily looked back at Louis, who was sitting in the backseat, looking quite pale. She asked with concern, "Brother, are you all right?"

"I'm fine. The hospital director told me to monitor my condition closely. If I should start to feel unwell, I can return for treatment at any time." Louis then smiled and asked, "How have you been recently?"

"I'm much better now." Jacob had expected this answer from Emily.

Emily glanced at the suitcase beside Louis, asking, "But where is Taylor? Why didn't she accompany you now that you've left the hospital?"

"She has gone abroad," Jacob immediately chipped in, fearing that Louis would say something wrong.

"Yes, she has gone abroad," Louis echoed this with a smile.

Emily nodded and sighed. "I haven't seen her in a long time. Our last meeting was so rushed. When Taylor returns, we should have a get-together."

Although her current therapist, Tim, was also very professional, he wasn't nearly as competent as Taylor. Taylor was more than a therapist, and sometimes she had felt like a friend to Emily. They had formed a close bond.

Hearing what Emily had said, Louis nodded absently. "When she returns, I'll bring her to see you."

Having settled the discussion, the car became quiet again. Emily was sitting silently in the passenger seat. Just as the car was about to enter the parking lot of the restaurant, Emily suddenly mumbled, "Jacob, I may have to take a rain check on the lunch."

"What's wrong?" Jacob quickly turned to look at her once he heard her weak voice.

Emily was leaning back in her seat with her eyes closed, and she seemed to be in agony. Jacob hurriedly released the safe belt for her. When he was about to open the car door so that Emily could breathe some fresh air, he heard Emily's voice.

"I'm fine. I just need to go back home and lie down." These were the first signs of her headache. Every time she suffered a headache, she would feel her vision become blurry. She became very sensitive to light and noise.

"I'll take you to the hospital!" Jacob said uneasily. Even if she needed to lie down for a rest, he felt better about taking her to the hospital where she could rest under a doctor's

w what you are planning to say." Jacob's eyes flashed with impatience. "When you've recovered, find a good excuse and bring her back. Only she knows Emily."

Tim heaved a sigh of relief at Jacob's sudden approval of his previous suggestion. How Tim wished he could go back to that fancy restaurant right now and celebrate it. Meanwhile, Louis was also overjoyed at hearing what Jacob had said. He stared directly at Jacob with happiness.

Jacob rolled his eyes indifferently and said, "Don't look at me like that. You should keep a close eye on your girlfriend. Don't let her do anything to harm Emily again. I will arrange someone to take you back."

"Thank you!" Louis knew that it was hard for Jacob to trust Taylor again. But Jacob had given up on his principles for the first time and compromised. It meant that if Taylor could somehow cure Emily, they would live in peace forever.

"It's still too early for you to thank me yet. If anything should happen to Emily, you can go ahead and choose a nice coffin for your beloved Mrs. Tang!" With that threat, Jacob ignored the two men and went straight back to his bedroom.

Emily was still sleeping soundly.

Tim and Louis exchanged glances. Embarrassed, Tim scratched his head and asked, "Where are you going? I can drive you there."

"The hospital? Are we going the same way?" Louis answered with a smile. If this psychologist would consent, he would like to take him to see Taylor, and get them to exchange ideas on how to treat Emily's condition.

"Of course. Regardless of where you are going, I can go in the same direction," replied Tim with a tight smile.
