"You... . . . . . Why are you getting so close to me? If you want to say something, just say it!" Bonnie was so frightened by his nearness that she almost gasped for breath.

Darren sneered. He stepped back and leered at her with a big smile on his face.

"You don't like the money that I give you?" Darren asked after he had successfully managed to elicit a shy blush from Bonnie again.

"But what I want is not money. Don't give me more money again. Just let me go, okay?" Bonnie didn't want to stay here any longer.

She felt like a trapped prisoner here. She didn't have any freedom. No matter how much money Darren showered upon her, she couldn't go out and spend it.

Darren's face darkened at her request. He narrowed his eyes and stared at her with unhappy eyes. "Let you go? Don't even think about it!"

Hearing this, Bonnie flared up and immediately retorted, "Why can't you let me go? You are keeping me against my will. I can sue you for that, you know?"

"Then go and do it!" Darren forced a faint smile on his face. He had a look on his face as if to say, "What can you do to me?" which was really annoying!

His words suddenly frustrated Bonnie to the very edge of her patience. She pouted, and her unhappiness was obvious on her face.

He was right. She was trapped here and could never leave, let alone get in touch with the outside world. How could she even think of suing him!

Seeing the girl fall silent, he pretended to be sad and complained, "You are my only friend. If you were to leave, I'd be alone again!"

Darren had already come to know Bonnie quite well. He knew that the girl's bark was worse than her bite. She could be moved by persuasion but not by coercion.

As long as he pretended to be pitiful, she would easily forgive whatever he had done to her.

As expected, Bonnie felt guilty when she heard his pitiful excuse. Truth be told, Darren had not mistreated her. He just liked to tease her occasionally to poke fun at her. At other times, he was really quite kind to her.

Maybe he was just lonely. He wanted someone to spend time with him!

so that their hearts will be locked forever. Henceforth, their hearts will only be occupied by each other, and never by anyone else," the girl shared the legend she had read on the Internet so cheerfully.

Obviously, the boy was not interested in such legends. He rode the bike attentively and listened to the girl without interrupting her words.

Suddenly, he sped up and almost threw the girl behind him off the bike.

The girl gave a startled yelp. Then she wrapped her arms tightly around the boy's waist and shouted into the wind.

"Carlos, when we go back, we should take a picture, and then put a key behind it. We'll mount it in a photo frame and put it in the most eye-catching part of our house in the future!" the girl suggested excitedly. She couldn't wait to try this out.

Finally, the boy gave her a vague reaction. He stopped and looked at the girl, rubbing her hair and saying, "Little fool! You don't need a key. You are the only one in my heart. No one can ever enter except for you."

That was the entangled past between Carlos and Nora. She had always kept it in the back of her mind and had even completed their agreement.

Carlos's heart wrenched in agony, tears trickling down his cheeks. He could no longer contain his sorrow and knelt on the floor, wailing.

Cherish had no idea what had triggered him to reveal such sorrow. But obviously, it concerned Nora.
