Puffy-eyed, Emily felt exhausted. She had sobbed into Sean's chest unceasingly, clutched on to his shirt. Emily's lips quivered once more as she slowly fell into a deep slumber.

Sean wrapped an arm around Emily's shoulders and pulled her close. He carefully rolled to his side and stared at her beautiful face. Her features were much softer in sleep. Her only movement was the slight rise and fall of her chest, she looked so peaceful despite her breakdown earlier. Sean wanted nothing more than to curl up with the curve of her body, he pulled the blanket up over his shoulder and laid beside her.

Midnight came and covered everything like a velvet blanket of black. Emily stirred and opened her eyes. She slowly uncovered her face and blinked as she took in her surroundings. She realized that someone was beside her; she turned and saw Sean asleep on the other side of the bed. Her eyes narrowed with a flash of hatred.

Emily's face was red with suppressed rage as she stared at the man beside her. With clenched fists and gritted teeth, she suddenly stood up. She picked up the sharp fruit knife she found beside the bed, looked at it and looked back at Sean. The sight of him fueled the fire that burned deep inside her. Before she knew it, she was walking back towards the bed with the knife in tow.

The man laid on the bed and slept so soundly. He was not bothered by Emily's actions.

Emily grabbed that sharp fruit knife tightly and raised it high, then she aimed at the chest of Sean and was about to stab on it!

Startled awake, Sean dodged the knife by instinct. He caught the blade by his hand and almost immediately, but he was still not quick enough. Blood gushed out and stained the bed. Sean looked at the damage on his palm, his eyes widened for a second before they narrowed in anger.

"Cloris! What the hell are you doing? Are you going to kill me? Why? For that man?"

He screeched at her. He rolled of a lot of emotions. He looked at Emily with disbelief and resentment, his voice full of distorted jealousy.

Red, everything went red as Emily's vision blurred with the fire inside of her. Her fingers coiled as she looked at him. The flames crawled through her veins as the blood rose to her cheeks. Her voice sounded frosty ice cold as she hissed at him, "I am not Cloris! Neither am I your younger sister! I am Emily! My name is Emily!"

Sean's face crumbled as Emily spoke. With all the anger gone, his face was filled with worry. He stuttered, "You... Does this... Do you remember? Have you remembered everything now?"

"YES! I remember! I remember everything!"

"No... No, you can't!"

Sean panicked because he was not expecting this. What happened? If she remembered, had the real Emily woken up? But that only meant that Cloris had disappeared! No! How did this happen! He never would have allowed this!

"I can't? Are you out of your mind?" Emily rolled her eyes at Sean. Her words exploded with anger, "Who do you think you are, Sean?! You have no right to control me! You absolutely have no right to dictate my destiny! I am Emily! I would forever be Emily! I am mys

yourself! That's why I cuffed you. I'm sorry, Cloris. I did this to protect you."

"No, I'm sorry." Emily was in disbelief of what she heard. She had a hard time believing she was capable of such a thing. She refused to dwell on it further. With a shaky shrug, she said, "I don't know what happened. I have no memory of last night. All I remember was that I cried so hard last night then I must have fallen asleep... Are you okay? Is your hand okay? Is the wound serious? Have you had that checked by a doctor?"

Her concern was further checked in with the sound of pain in her voice and the look of self-accusation in her eyes.

Sean sighed internally and relaxed. He gave her a small smile and said, "It's okay. It doesn't matter. You were just sick."

"What... I... What is wrong with me?" Emily's voice quivered with panic, "What should I do? I don't want to hurt you again. I'm scared I might hurt others, too. I don't want that to happen."

"Relax. It doesn't matter." Sean hugged her and dearly held her in his arms. He gently rubbed her back as he comforted her, "Are you forgetting that I am a doctor? I will fix you. Don't worry. I'll always be by your side. You know that, right?"

Emily relaxed in his arms and nodded her head. She let out a sigh of relief. Then with a sudden jerk, she looked up at him and asked, "But Sean, what about Seventh? Please don't hurt him, okay? Promise me you won't."

Sean's face turned dark and his eyes flashed with annoyance at the mention of Jacob's name. He turned to Emily and patiently answered, "What if I did? If I really hurt him, what will you do?"

Emily moved away and fully turned towards Sean. Her eyes widened with fear, "But... But you..."

Sean held her gaze for quite a while. Then he shook his head and sighed, "If you promise you'll leave him, I will let him go. I will take him back to where he belongs."

Emily quickly asked, "But where does he belong?"

"You don't need to know that." Sean still fixated his gaze at her. He refused to answer her question, but repeated his, "Will you leave him?"
