When they finally saw the state of the vice guild master, their expression became blank, the haughty and perverted Gold Rank fighter of their guild is now trembling as he focus on the demon.
His lips quivers as he repeatedly say “It’s over, it’s over, it’s over.”
The two felt despair, they can’t believe that the strongest fighter of their guild present right now is trembling like a coward, the demon looks at him and felt disdain.
He focus more on the general and decided to make a move against him “Goblin King, I’ll leave that pathetic coward to you, I’ll deal with that fellow.”
He took out a jagged swords that looks extremely menacing with a battle cry, he charges towards the general, the expression of the soldiers became pale but none of them retreated.
Boom! With a loud explosion, the demon was forced to stop, Shadowslash floats in front of him carrying two swords.
Upon seeing this scene, everyone was stunned, Shadowslash shouted “The two of you support me! General I’ll stall this demon as long as I can, we must win this battle.”
Actually, he doesn’t want to fight against this demon but he was forced to do so as he knows that he is the only one capable of fighting against him, he is well versed in the way of demonic Qi.
He also could use light and holy element, together with his battle experience, he might be able to hold on long enough for the general to take down a stupid brute like an ogre.
He had seen the reaction of the vice guild master and honestly, he felt disgusted, the expression of the demon became unsightly, a human that isn’t even a ranker dares to fight against it, the insult made it’s blood boil.

It’s started laughing “You know, I have thought that I’ll only be able to kill some pathetic humans that would be the stepping stone of our grand mission, who would have thought.”
Licking the blood that drips near it’s mouth “Even I didn’t expect to encounter such a brave and young genius of the human race, killing you would be worth my time.”
His speed instantly threefold, Shadowslash quickly dodges but the sharp sword torn his clothes, fortunately, his instinct during his past glory is still intact on his soul, if not he would have already died from that attack.
The demon didn’t stop, he continue to relentlessly attack it’s target, the two elven sisters shot arrows after arrows to help Shadowslash.
Upon seeing the situation, the general knew that they still have a chance “My men! Quickly eradicate our enemy!”
The soldiers charge towards the goblins, the mercenaries looks at their temporary leader and felt disappointed, suddenly, little fatty who doesn’t have any courage before shouted “Everyone work together, Aniki wouldn’t last long against that demon, we must eradicate the monsters quickly.”
“If not, all of us will die on the hands of that demon.”
One of the mercenary shouted “Screw that, I’m outta here!”
He quickly bolted towards the direction of the city, quickly the other mercenaries also follows, what is much more depressing is that, even the vice guild master flee.
