The kiss fell softly and carefully, Lu Zhiqiao's body tensed up, her hand, propped to her side, was holding the quilt tightly. Before she had time to feel the heat carefully, her heart was hit hard by these warm but powerful words. She couldn't help but raise her neck and grab the corner of Qi Yan's coat with her free hand for balance, as she shows an active invitation.

Desires are like a flood, and at this moment, Qi Yan holds her face, and can't wait to deepen the kiss, lingering, spreading down from one side of the hot city, plundering and sweeping forcefully.

That hazy feeling reappeared, Lu Zhiqiao's heartbeat suddenly accelerated, and some fragmentary pictures flashed through her blank mind...

The night they met, the crazy memories in the hotel, the countless teases and half-jokes and warmth, the embarrassment of being crushed one after another, the panic after being shown her feelings… And many other things, she seemed to fall into the bottomless sea, floating, sinking and confused.

Responding subconsciously, hugging her, clinging to her, they became inseparable.

Unknowingly, the strength of her support collapsed, Lu Zhiqiao leaned back a little bit, and lay down slowly, a shadow passed over her head, the warm orange light projected from the ceiling dimmed, her mesmerized eyes reflected Qi Yan's charming and glamorous face.

What is she doing?

She couldn't indulge herself, but this woman is seducing her. No one is to blame but her daughter's teacher. Countless times she persuaded herself to let go of the heavy past and enjoy life with all her heart, but also, countless midnights, memories and dreams overlapped and tormented her. She couldn't be honest, not with anyone.

It's as if she had been imprisoned in a dark cage, and seeing a little light, she was both hopeful and in despair. She didn't know whether this beam of light would always exist. Uncertainties always make people feel insecure. Rather than worrying, it is better to give up on thinking about it.

Qi Yan's temperature was very hot, as if she was about to catch fire, and she was also ignited.

"I like your tear mole."

"I fell in love with you when I first met you."

Qi Yan's thin soft lips brushed across her forehead to eyes, stopped at her mole, and sucked lightly. Bit by bit, her coat is being pulled away.

The temptation of her gentle voice is always uncontrollable. If it weren't for the sudden chill in her abdomen, Lu Zhiqiao would have fallen into the trap. But at that moment she suddenly woke up, pushed Qi Yan away, sat up and grabbed her clothes in a panic.

It must be because her mood fluctuated too much today, and someone comforted her, she lost control a little.

It's not that she took the initiative, it's not that she indulged.

It's the same for everyone.

She took a deep breath, and raised her hand to cover her hot cheek, not daring to look at Qi Yan.

Qi Yan was pushed to the side, facing the back of the bed, and did not move. After a while, she let out a heavy breath, got up slowly, straightened her messy hair, and asked casually, "Have you eaten yet?"

Lu Zhiqiao turned her face sideways and shook her head.

"I'm going to cook supper." Qi Yan got out of bed, put on her slippers, and turned around to straighten the messed up bedding.

Lu Zhiqiao finally looked up at her: "Didn't you... come to get Niu Niu's clothes?"

Without any expression on her face, she picked up the clothes as if nothing had happened: "Don't close the door, I'll be right over." After speaking, she went out like a gust of wind, without giving her a chance to refuse.

"..."

After a while, Qi Yan came back.

She went straight into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, took out a tomato and an egg, and put water into the pot. Lu Zhiqiao came out following the movement, leaned against the doorway and stared blankly for a while, before stepping forward and saying, "I'll do it myself..."

Her cheeks were still a little hot, flushed from embarrassment, as if she would bleed if she looked at Qi Yan one more time.

"No, this will be ready soon." Qi Yan turned her head and smiled, and continued to work.

She looked skillful and smooth while cutting tomatoes, beating eggs, and laying noodles. It seemed  like she cooks regularly. Lu Zhiqiao stood obliquely behind her. She observed her hands for a while, then looked at her face. Her eyes wandered, the corners of her mouth turned up unconsciously, and when she snapped out of it, she pursed it again, secretly annoyed.

The noodles were cooked quickly, enough for a serving. Qi Yan took the bowl and put it on the dining table, then turned around and went to clean the pot, and came out after cleaning the kitchen.

"Is it tasty?"

"Um."

Lu Zhiqiao nodded sincerely. She was really hungry. Only when she was asked did she realize that the noodles cooked by others are always better than those cooked by herself.

Qi Yan watched her eat in small bites, made a very soft voice, elegant and restrained, then got up and sat on the sofa with her back to her: "I'll leave after you finish eating."

"..."

The clock on the wall moved slowly, and so seemed the time.

Qi Yan felt a little hot, and tugged at her collar. The dryness was lingering in her chest. She frowned slightly, and said after deliberation: "Did the math teacher say something nasty?"

The sound behind stopped.

"If you don't want to say it, forget it."

Qi Yan lowered her head and pinched her own fingers to play, her eyebrows creased a little deeper.

She has been thinking about this problem. Although she didn't know Lu Zhiqiao for a long time and didn't know much, she felt that the other party was not someone who would easily lose control-- of course, this possibility was not ruled out. If Xu Shoukui really said something ugly, this would be a good opportunity to replace him.

"No."

"Really?"

"..."

The tomato she was chewing and the sour taste flowed down her throat into her heart. Lu Zhiqiao squeezed the chopsticks tightly, and said in a low voice: "He said that Niu Niu has no father to teach her."

Qi Yan pinched herself hard with her fingertips, and just about to make a sound, Lu Zhiqiao said again: "Do you want me to go to school to make trouble, make things bigger, and then replace this math teacher?"

"...."

"It's not necessary. Niu Niu made a mistake in the first place, and we made a mistake, and I don't want to make trouble." The voice became lower and lower, and the last two mouthfuls of noodles became tasteless. After eating, she took the bowl to the kitchen to wash.

Qi Yan clenched her teeth tightly and followed her with a sullen face. She saw her slightly bent slender back, her narrow shoulders, her throat suddenly choked up, and her eyes became sore.

The sound of water gurgling, bowls and chopsticks clashing.

She stepped forward, hugged her from behind, and said softly, "In order for Niu Niu to regain her confidence in mathematics, this math teacher must be replaced, and your tolerance and encouragement are also indispensable."

"Qi Yan..."

Lu Zhiqiao turned off the faucet, put the bowl in the rack, and let her hug her without breaking free, her voice was calmer than perfume: "You are plotting against your colleagues, you should be on the teacher's side."

Here they go again.

"Yes, I plot against my colleagues, I have a vicious mind, I am partial to students, and have affairs with parents. So what? Are you going to scold me for not acting like a teacher? Or are you mocking me for being unworthy of being a teacher?" Qi Yan spoke so fast that it didn't matter.

It would be hard for this person not to pick on her being a teacher for a day.

Hearing that she was having an affair with parents, Lu Zhiqiao blushed immediately. The words were almost a joke. She didn't want to accuse Qi Yan of anything, but she didn't want to believe that Qi Yan would stand by her. When she said these words, she was stunned.

She whispered, "I've never thought about you that way, so don't say that about yourself."

"Isn't that what you're talking about?"

"Then consider me farting*."

*to fart is to say a lie/an empty promise/to bullshit, the term is considered a bad/rude word, which explains Qi Yan's next action.

As soon as the words fell, Lu Zhiqiao was slapped hard on her butt. She trembled in fright and let out a soft cry, frowned, and turned her head to hit back.

Qi Yan dodged quickly, grabbed and held her hands behind her back, pressed her against the side of the sink, and lowered her voice: "Next time you say something like this, I will spank your ass."

"You--"

"What about me?"

"Let go!" Lu Zhiqiao blushed with annoyance, but for some reason she was inexplicably excited, and her heart rate gradually increased.

Qi Yan simply let go of her, clapped her hands and turned around: "Then I'm going back, good night."

The excitement suddenly disappeared.

....

The next morning, Qi Yan sent the educated Niu Niu back to 901, the little girl apprehensively stepped into the home, seeing the just woken up Lu Zhiqiao, still a little afraid.

Last night, Teacher Qi punished her by writing an essay. She brushed up the math test paper and wrote a 1,000-word check. She didn't let her go to bed until twelve o'clock. She was told that if there is no punishment, the memory will soon forget, and her mother must see her sincerity in admitting her mistakes.

Mom lost her temper openly, and Teacher Qi punished her secretly. She couldn't escape neither on the left nor the right

Little Lu Wei swore that she would never dare to cheat again.

Lu Zhiqiao was also feeling bad, and regretted it after finishing the fight yesterday, but when she thought about it, she was angry again, angry at the child for going crooked, angry at the teacher for her hurtful words, angry at her collapse of faith and loss of face. After a night, Qi Yan stirred up her mind, and when she saw her daughter again, her heart was filled with sorrow and distress.

The mother and daughter hugged each other and wiped away the tears, and comforted each other, feeling really sad.

Qi Yan watched from the sidelines with a warm and doting smile on her face, and then realized that there was nothing for a superfluous person like her to do with them, so she sighed and went back to the room.

Roland Island, xx Airlines, xxx Hotel.

She flipped through the photos she took last night and secretly rejoiced. When that person lost her senses, she didn't not care about anything. She was big-hearted enough that she unknowingly leaked her itinerary information. How could she miss such an excellent opportunity.

Wanting to surprise Lu Zhiqiao, but worried that the other party didn't want her vacation to be disturbed. After thinking about it, Qi Yan took it as her own time to play.

She called Ms. Lin.

"Hello? Mom, I—"

"Yanyan, Mom was just about to call you." Ms. Lin, from the other line interrupted her.

"This year, your dad and I will go to New Zealand for a holiday. We have all the passports and visas ready. You can go anywhere by yourself when we leave on New Year's Eve in the afternoon. Your third uncle or second aunt or your sister-in-law's house..."

"You can go home, but no one will cook. You have to make it yourself. That's all. I'll go shopping with your dad, bye."

After a continuous cannonball was fired, the phone was hung up.

Qi Yan opened her mouth, she didn't have the chance to squeeze one in, and was dismissed with a few words.

Mother.

What a real mother.

Like a fake one, it has been like this since childhood.

But it was just how she wanted it, so she won't have to rack her brains to come up with an excuse not to go home for New Year. In the past, if she said that, her parents will suspect that she has a new girlfriend and demand her to bring the person with her. This year is like this, she's happy to be at ease.

Thinking about it, Qi Yan curled her mouth deeply, opened the booking app and searched for flights and hotels...

On the 29th day of the lunar calendar, most business units across the country are on holiday. At the beginning of the Spring Festival travel season, the bus stops at the airport, train station, and bus station are overcrowded. On the other hand, there are few people and cars on the road, and the streets are empty. Jiangcheng, a fast-paced city, will soon become an empty city for seven days.

On the international flight at 7:30 in the evening, Lu Zhiqiao and her daughter arrived at the airport at 4:00 pm, checked in early, went out of customs, and sat in the VIP lounge to wait.

This is not the first time for the mother and daughter to travel abroad. Lu Zhiqiao has had many international business trips before. Knowing that long-distance flights are tiring, she bought a first-class cabin. All the things that should be brought for the trip are fully prepared, so there is nothing new, and the boarding time is still far. But Lu Wei was very excited, and kept gabbing non-stop. She was sitting in the lounge but still restless, leaning on the window to watch the big plane, her mouth still didn't stop.

"Mom, that person is waving two sticks in his hand, what is it?"

Lu Zhiqiao didn't pay attention to what her daughter saw. She stretched her neck slightly, looked around, her eyes flicked over the faces of passengers one after another, and she frowned slightly.

For a moment, she lowered her head.

On the screen of the mobile phone is the WeChat chat interface, and notes that Teacher Qi has not replied to the message she sent four hours ago.

[We are leaving for the airport]

[Happy New Year to you in advance]

Lu Zhiqiao stared at the head of the orange cat avatar, feeling confused for a moment. She couldn't explain what it was like. She rarely sent messages to Qi Yan on her own initiative. The only few times, the other party would reply within an hour. Even in seconds.

Maybe the phone is not with her?

Maybe she has something to do?

That's right, tomorrow is New Year's Eve, every family will reunite to celebrate the New Year, that person should go home, right? Is she chatting with her parents? Or receiving guests?  Or playing with relatives' children?  However possible, there are good reasons for not responding to her messages in time.

She locked the screen, got up and walked outside the VIP room, and looked towards the boarding gate, where there were many economy class passengers waiting for the flight.  She pretended to be nonchalant and turned around, every face is unfamiliar.

Feeling inexplicably lost...

After boarding the plane, Lu Zhiqiao stared at everyone who came in from behind without blinking, with a small hope in her heart, for fear that she would miss a familiar face. The more people came in, her hope is like a candle flickering in the wind, the fainter it became, and an unspeakable anxiety surged in her heart.

Until, no more people came up.

She was completely disappointed, turned her face away, looked out of the window, and tightly pressed her thin lips.

As expected, isn't it?  She clearly rejected her, did she expect the other to stick to her like a dogskin plaster*?  Why? She is too self-indulgent, she must've been out of her mind. It doesn't matter if she doesn't come, she will have more fun with her daughter, why would she want a third person to bother her…

*goupigaoyao- a plaster used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat contusions, rheumatism etc., similar to salonpas

What's more, during the Spring Festival, other people have families and parents, unlike her. Orphans and widows, depend on each other, and they can go anywhere.

Lu Zhiqiao's thoughts were confused, she closed her eyes and rubbed her temples, without thinking about it, she turned on her phone to read an e-book.

A semi-documentary novel, roughly about a kindergarten teacher, who fell in love with a married mother, from restraint to falling, willing to be a mistress, very abusive, the final ending should not be very good, she hasn't finished it yet.

Looked at it, put her focus into it, and didn't have time to think about other things.

....

The travel was seven hours, and when they arrived at Roland Island, it was exactly two o'clock in the afternoon local time.

Overlooking from a low altitude, the golden beach is lined with coconut trees, the lush tropical rainforest merges with the blue-green sea water, and the large and small islands are picturesque and full of tropical style.  As soon as the plane landed, Lu Zhiqiao took her daughter straight to the hotel, forgetting all her worries.

Since she came out for a vacation, she have to be happy.

The hotel is five-star, located on the largest beach on the main island. Open the window in any room and you will see the blue sea and blue sky. It only takes five minutes to walk to the tourist-filled beach.

Lu Zhiqiao communicated in English without barriers throughout the whole process, and the mother and daughter went through the check-in procedures smoothly.

After entering the room, Lu Wei couldn't wait to run to the balcony, yelled, and jumped in excitedly: "Mom! Let's change our skirts and go to the beach to play! I want to ride the kayak!"

"Okay, don't rush, mom will tidy up first." She coaxed softly and opened the suitcase.

"Hmm."

The little girl pouted, obviously impatient.

—— knock knock knock

There was a knock on the door.

Lu Zhiqiao was startled, and stopped her movements, thinking that the champagne from the hotel had arrived, so she went to open the door. As the gap in the door gradually widened, a red figure slowly appeared in her sight, and she froze instantly.

"Happy New Year."
