The finished dinner menu is the usual vegetable soup and boiled sausage. And the bread gratin that I made.

“Uwah! What’s with this nice smell!!”

“Ohh!”

“Amazing!”

At the smell, the members who entered the cafeteria were like, ‘Oh!’ and cheered.

The eyes looking at the bread gratin on the table were sparkling. . .

“The ingredients are the same as usual, so there doesn’t seem to be any sense of rejection.”

I stood in front of the cafeteria with my heart pounding as I checked the situation and let out a sigh of relief.

Apparently, it doesn’t seem to be a case of, ‘It doesn’t look good, I don’t want to eat it!’

“I don’t think anyone will refuse Shina-san’s cooking.”

“That’s right. Seeing it makes you want to eat it.”

Ryleigh-kun tilted his head at my words, and Hurst-san nodded in response.

As for Zezgard-san, until just a while ago he was helping me arrange the food on the table, but now he’s standing in the corner of the dining room with his back against the wall.

It’s as if Zezgard-san didn’t do anything.

. . . . . Fufun Rush.

Even though you took the initiative to carry things. . .

“Hey! You!! Those eyes!!”

Zezgard-san seemed to feel something when I was looking at him with gentle eyes.

There is a distance between me and Zezgard-san, but he knew! I was called out.

I can’t believe he can tell the look in my eyes from this distance. As expected of a dragon knight. He has good eyes.

“Well then, Shina-sama, go to the stage.”

“Yes.”

Then, Hurst-san urged me to go up to the stage.

The cafeteria was built like a gymnasium, and there was a stage at the front.

I went up the stairs to get to the stage, and when I got to the center, I could see the dining room.

The dining room on the upper floor of the basement kitchen was large enough to accommodate about 30 members of the Northern Knights.

Many tables and chairs were lined up, and the members were sitting there, staring at the dinner arranged on the table with twinkling eyes.

The, Hurst-san, who came to the center of the stage with me, spoke in a low, resounding voice.

“Thank you for having a safe day today.”

“Thank you!”

After Hurst-san spoke, all the members repeated it.

It’s like the etiquette before dinner at the Northern Knights, and I’ve seen it many times since I came here and started eating in the dining room.

“Then, Shina-sama, please explain to everyone.”

“Yes.”

Encouraged by Hurst-san’s eyes, I once again turned to face the members.

Hurst-san also returned his gaze to the members and continued in a low voice.

“Shina-sama has an explanation about today’s meal.”

“Excuse me before the meal. Let me explain a little about the menu this time.”

In response to Hurst-san’s words, I put my strength into my stomach and started speaking so that everyone could hear me.

I can’t be as calm as Hurst-san, but I don’t want them to be unable to hear my voice.

“What I made this time is bread gratin.”

“Panguratan”

“It’s freshly baked and hot, so please be careful. I would appreciate it if you could divide the bread bowls according to the number of people.”

“Slice it with the knife at hand.”

Hurst-san added to my explanation and urged the members to try it.

Prompted by him, the members put their knives into the bread gratin.

“The inside is soggy!”

“The bread is crispy.”

“I want the bigger one!”

“You, cut it properly in the middle!”

I could hear the various voices of the members who cut into the bread gratin saying, ‘Wow!’

When it was confirmed that everyone seemed to have moved it to their plates, Hurst-san raised his voice.

“Pride as a member of the Northern Knights.”

“Pride!”

Wild voices overlapped. . . With those words as a signal, the members suddenly reached out to the bread gratin.

Even though it was hot, everyone opened their mouths side. . .

“Delicious!”

“The bread is soft. . .”

“It’s really good when it seeps out of the bread!”

“I thought it would be like bread dipped in stew, but this is absolutely better. . .!”

None of the voices I heard seemed to be hiding their excitement.

“The minced meat sauce in the center is said to be a gift from a woman in the village. If you dip that part in the bread or mix it with the ingredients, the taste will change, so please try eating it in your favorite way. The bread bowl is baked crispy, so if you eat it with the ingredients, I think it will taste different.”

In order not to be overwhelmed by the voices raised in various places, I also spoke a little louder and explained to everyone.

Then, it seemed that they tried it immediately, and they responded immediately.

“It’s true! The taste changes again when you eat it with minced meat sauce!”

“Ah, I might like it all mixed up.”

“The bowl portion is also crispy and amazing!”

The excited voices and sparkling eyes honestly show the members’ feelings.

When I saw that, I heard a loud voice.

“Vice-Commander! I understand what the vice-commander just said!”

The owner of that voice was the chestnut-haired member who had been cooking dinner with me until just now.

“I didn’t understand it at all when I was told that it was ‘surprising and fun,’ but when I tried it I understood! I was really surprise, and it was a lot of fun!”

First that member! And then the member next to him spoke, then the next one! And others answered.

Then, when I saw them deciding how to eat it, talk to the person next to them, and teaching each other how they like to eat it, my heart felt tight. . .

“. . . It was good.”

Being able to eat your own food.

To be happy with it.

. . . Because it means that you are accepting yourself.

“Shina-sama, then us too.”

“Yes.”

Prompted by Hurst-san, I stepped off the stage and walked towards the table.

Ryleigh-kun and Zezgard-san were also there, and they seemed to be waiting for us to take our seats.

“Shina-san, I can’t wait any longer!”

“Yes. I want to eat it while it’s hot.”

Hurst-san, who nodded at Ryleigh-kun’s words, immediately cut the bread gratin with the knife in his hand.

It was cut in half, and the white sauce spilled out from the cross section.

Hurst-san cut it in half again and took a quarter of it to my plate.

And then, they were divided between the plates of Ryleigh-kun, Zezgard-san, and Hurst-san respectively.

“Hmm! Delicious!”

Ryleigh-kun scooped the white sauce part with a spoon and popped it into his mouth.

His cheeks turned red in an instant, and a soft smile spilled out.

“I thought it would taste more like milk, but it’s so mellow! The bacon is also really delicious!”

While listening to that voice, Hurst-san also carried the bread gratin to his mouth.

And. . .

“. . . .Delicious.”

. . . The usual delicious sign.

“The saltiness of the bacon and the sweetness of the onion in this thick milk sauce is irresistible. The bread soaked in this sauce is also very soft, and the sauce overflows when you bite into it.”

Hurst-san’s sparkling light blue eyes warmly envelop my heart.

While feeling that, I also brought bread gratin to my mouth.

“Mmm! Delicious. . .”

Toasted cheese. White sauce that seeps out from the bread. That old Campagne is transformed into a very delicious one.

And the part covered in ragù sauce had a different taste with the sourness of tomato and the scent of spices.

“I can even eat stale bread with this.”

“Ah. I can’t believe that the same ingredients as usual have changed so much. . .”

I smiled at the voices of Ryleigh-kun and Hurst-san.

Then, I heard a muffled voice from Zezgaard-san, who was sitting diagonally across from me. . .

“Shit. . .it’s delicious. . .damn it. . . because of this, Gyabussh. . . Damn, but it’s good. . . damn it.”

. . . . . Ma-kun.

You don’t have to eat while crying. . .

“I’m not Ma-kun. . .! Damn! It’s good!!”

Hah! While spitting that out, Ma-kun. . . Zezgard-san ate it greedily.

Yes. If you like it so much, you’ll eat it vigorously.

When I was watching Zezgard-san eating, I heard a voice from the members sitting beside me. . .

“Hey, if the vice-commander catches it, we can eat this meal all the time. . .”

“Certainly.”

“Right, we have no choice but to show what a man the vice-commander is.”

“That’s right.”

“Vice-commander, is it okay?”

“I don’t know. Let’s ask.”

“Oh!”

Somehow, several members who seem to have settled the matter stood up from their chairs.

Then, when they came to the back of my chair, they bowed their heads.

“The vice-commander is strict, but he’s one to give solid guidance!”

“In the past, I was scared because his expression didn’t change much, but the recent Vice-Commander is quite easy to understand!”

“Please, always stay by the vice-commander’s side. . .!”

“Please support the vice-commander. . .!”

They each called out to me, and even though I didn’t know what was going on, they even shook my hands.

When I was troubled by the hand that was tightly grasped without knowing it and the desperate looks, the usual chill came. . .

“Hey, you guys.”

Arctic. The bread gratin also freezes in an instant, it’s cold.

This will become frozen food.

“”Please!!!””

When the members said that, they went back to their original seats at a tremendous speed. Yes, it’s early.

And when I turned to the table, Hurst-san was in front of me.

Hurst-san let out a sigh and lowered his eyes.

“Shina-sama, I’m sorry. The members were rude. . .”

“No, I understand what the members want to say. In other words, Hurst-san and I will always be together.”

“. . . . . . Eh?”

At my words, Hurst-san made a rare stunned face.

The eyes that were downcast were opened wide, and somehow his cheeks were red.

That’s why I strongly nodded to Hurst-san that I wanted him to feel at ease.

Yes. I understand what the members want.

What the members are looking for. One teaches and guides strictly, and the other gently embraces.

This is the feeling of two people growing while supporting each other.

I know. I know. . .!

“This is the relationship between the homeroom teacher and the assistant homeroom teacher.”

Yes. This is an aid for the 2-E class who are living in high-school.

2nd Year Class E ~Hasu Hachi-sensei~! It is.

“I will firmly support you.”

. . . As an assistant homeroom teacher. . . . . . . !

Isarai Shina, Ordinary OL.

In this different world, I will live happily as an assistant homeroom teacher!

. . . . Shina is kind of dense. I have no clue where she got that logic from. How did she even reach that conclusion? Poor Hurst-san. He got all excited and then got let down hard. Does that world even know what a homeroom teacher is? It’s kind of funny that the Northern Knight members are trying to hook them up for their own benefit though.
