Ch126 - Catch Me And I’ll Let You Heheheh

The trainees in the central turntable were relatively silent, very few of them spoke.

No. 8 Dark Warlock stood still as the green eyes hidden under the hood looked at where the white-haired magician was at.

Zong Jiu just glanced at him carelessly, as if looking at an unimportant stranger.

The door to the big Turntable was open. It was covered with a layer of pale fluorescent light, which also displayed its identity as a safe house.

“Hurry up, the safe house is ahead, the victory is in sight, go faster!”

One after another, trainees came running. Some trainees had ghosts behind their backs, and there was even one wearing a hospital gown and holding a giant ax.

Unfortunately, once the trainees ran into the safe house, these ghosts could only stare pitifully and leave in anger.

In the darkness, they could only hear the BGM of Coffin Dance playing from the speakers of the amusement park, upbeat yet unnerving.

The screams came one after another. Occasionally, there were strange sounds made by the use of various special props, occasionally there were explosions, and occasionally a ghostly face would appear in the darkness.

Xu Su squatted down and rubbed his shoulders, then sat directly on the big turntable, unscrewed a bottle of sports drink from his hiking bag, and gave himself a big swig, “Who knows where the next safe house will be. Hopefully, it’s not too far from here.”

Of course all the other trainees hoped so too.

The time limit for the safe house was only 50 minutes. After 50 minutes, it meant that they needed to wait another ten minutes to know the location of the next safe house.

Fortunately, the system stipulated that ghosts could not stand guard at the entryway. If all these ghosts were guarding the door of the safe house, then the trainees could only experience misery.

Zong Jiu stood where he was, looking into the distance.

Buildings stacked up beyond the trees, like demons with fangs and claws released from hell, all wrapped in a thick and viscous shadow.

Zhuge An and he acted separately, Zong Jiu and Tsuchimikado led a team, and the Exorcist went alone to avoid suspicion. According to the plan, Zhuge An should find No. 6, then Zong Jiu should lead the team to find No. 2 and unplug the puppet string on the old brother’s head.

But now the question was, where was Van Zhuo?

It stood to reason that the Night Clan should also choose Area 1 as their starting point, but when Zong Jiu was at the door, he couldn’t find anyone else. He couldn’t even see a shadow, which was a bit strange.

Just as Zong Jiu was pondering, the soles of everyone’s feet suddenly trembled.

“What’s going on?!”

Tsuchimikado almost fell where he stood before he finally grabbed the seat next to him to help him balance.

“Everyone quickly hold tight, this damn turntable is about to start!”

As if responding, a bell rang from the start room of the turntable below.

Everyone had played in the amusement park for the past two weeks, so of course they knew what this sound meant.

This was clearly the sound of the rides about to start!

“Fuck, hurry up and find a seat and sit on it, this *** can turn 90 degrees when it is activated!”

What a joke, most people here had played this attraction before.

Compared with other large turntables, the central turntable was large enough that the arc of rotation couldn’t directly roll 360 degrees in the air like the smaller turntables. But it also happened to be the salvation of the trainees.

Because there were obviously not enough seats.

On the premise that there were not enough seats, if the amusement equipment really made an upside-down flip in the air, the trainees might as well as commit suicide on the spot.

“If you can’t find a seat, find something to hold! Grab onto the seat belts!”

Fortunately, Zong Jiu was fast enough. After he buckled his seat belt, he grabbed Xu Su, who had not had time to find a seat, and turned to direct the other trainees who had no time to respond.

In the nick of time, the huge central turntable was activated.

The trainees who failed to grab a seat hurriedly grabbed something and tried to lock themselves on it.

Xu Su grabbed the edge of Zong Jiu’s seat.

Some unlucky people who didn’t have time to find something to grab were directly thrown out by the rotating centrifugal force and rolled out of the safe house. Who knew what ghostly place they landed in as shrill screams cut through the darkness.

Tsuchimikado in the seat next to him wanted to cry without tears, “The seat belt on this seat is broken.”

Zong Jiu: “…”

There was a barrage of “hahahahaha” in the live stream room.

[Fuck, as expected of an African chief, just pick any seat belt and it can break! ]

[Boss Tsuchimikado has really never let me down, and there is really no one else who is unlucky like this! ]

[My source of happiness, ding dong, online]

[Hahahaha my God, every time Yin-Yang Master can refresh my understanding of the term “African Chief”]

They all sat down, and naturally, there was no way to fix things. Zong Jiu could only hold his forehead and said, “Hold tight!”

The turntable swung higher and higher, and all of a sudden it reached the highest point.

Under the violent swaying and ups and downs, more and more trainees could not resist the pressure and were thrown down. They fell heavily to the ground, their life and death were unknown. Fortunately, Tsukimicado was not just an unlucky chief, he could use his spiritual power to tie himself to the seat without any other help.

On the contrary, Xu Su was staring at gold stars in the sky. If Zong Jiu hadn’t yanked at his mountaineering backpack strap, he might have been thrown off too.

Among this group of people, the witches of the Witch Society became the most outstanding people.

The Dark Warlock condensed a cloud of black mist in his hand and lifted himself into the air. Without the need for any force, he easily walked on the ground. Other witches were not as powerful as him, but they could still use the black fog to fix themselves on the turntable, not needing to find a seat.

The normally happy few minutes on a turntable turned into a long ordeal that was worse than death.

When the turntable stopped in place again, many trainees rushed to the edge and began to vomit, and their faces turned ugly purple.

“Oof, my God, blarg—”

Xu Su foamed at the mouth and couldn’t recover for a long time.

By the time he recovered, the safe house effect was about to fail.

Tsuchimikado gestured to the members of the team, and everyone ignored the discomfort of tumbling in the air earlier, tied up their skates, stepped on their skateboards, and quickly made preparations to slip away at any time.

“Don’t rush, there are ten minutes before the new safe house will be announced. Let’s continue to wait and see.”

Zong Jiu took out a flashlight from his bag, stepped on the skateboard with a foot, and even put on a pair of transparent goggles.

A minute later, the system announced: [The first round of safe houses has lost effect]

In the darkness in the distance rose the sound of gloomy ghost voices.

Just when everyone appeared vigilant, lowered their bodies, and prepared to find a good angle to dash away, those gloomy laughter died down instantly.

The voice disappeared abruptly as if their life was cut off in the middle, and there was no follow-up.

At the same time, the mob and minions hiding behind the darkness also instantly dissipated. The world suddenly became extremely quiet. Except for the deathly music still playing in the pumpkin speakers in the amusement park, even the rustling of leaves in the wind couldn’t be heard.

It was rather weird.

The Yin-Yang Master was the first to show a solemn expression.

“—!”

Suddenly, an indescribable voice rang out. It was like something was cruising on the ground yet also seemed to be floating in the air, slowly cutting the air apart, making one’s teeth ache.

A little further away, the jack-o-lanterns floating in the air suddenly went out one by one. The golden-red flames turned into white smoke, and after a moment, rekindled into faint blue ghost fires.

Quiet, eerily quiet.

Above the shadows, torn fabric appeared in the void, and something deeper and gloomier took the stage.

Quickly, the trainees were horrified to discover that it was not a hanging fabric, but a wide black hood that was two people tall.

The hood floated in the air, the hem of the black robe was several feet away from the ground, and the torn rags rolled along with the thick black fog behind it like something out of a nightmare.

The mouth of the hood is open, and from the outside, only the deep black fog that emerged from the inside can be seen. It was like a plague that Satan spread in the world, and if you got close, you could see unknown black ashes. The flowers and plants in the surrounding flower beds withered and decayed without warning the moment they came into contact with the fog, turning into a mass of brown-yellow pus.

The death bird, a symbol of death, poked its head out from the top of the black mist and let out a hoarse shriek.

It turned into a skeleton holding a huge pitch-black sickle in its hand, and the edge of it reflected the cold light of the moon.

The grim reaper, derived from the image of the God of Death in Ket and ancient Middle Eastern religions, eventually became a popular name for the god of death in folklore. Typical representative items were the black cloak and the scythe.

Xu Su swallowed, “This… this appearance, could it be, could it be the ghost king who ignores the hunting range that the system talked about…”

No one spoke as everyone had an answer in their hearts.

These past few days, the ghost mascots in the amusement park became well known to everyone. At most, the general mascot wore headgear on the upper body. The one in front of them ignored gravity and floated in the air, and it also had its own destructive effect. There were no records of this in the manuals and maps of the major organizations present.

The possibility of it being the Ghost King was 90%.

“What are you doing, run!” Zong Jiu gave an order, kicked the soles of his feet on the ground, and quickly stepped on the skateboard and charged forward.

The trainees of the other organizations were also scared and scattered. No one wanted to personally know the feeling of human skin touching the black mist.

The white-haired young man ran from one street to another with the team, and he didn’t need to turn around to hear the rustling sound of the corners of its robe brushing in the air.

While running, Xu Su said breathlessly, “Jiu-ge, why do I feel that this God of Death seems to be chasing us.”

There were three or four teams of trainees in front of the big turntable just now. After dispersing, the hooded Reaper didn’t even give them a look. He flew straight towards the Magician’s team with his sickle in his hand, the speed difference with the previous chainsaw maniac was like heaven and earth.

The barrage also realized this.

[What’s wrong, why is this God of Death chasing after the Magician’s team?]

[I’m also wondering about this. They chased for three or four streets and ran from Area 1 to Area 2. What’s going on]

[Could it be that there’s something in this team that attracts the Ghost King? ]

[Now I can be sure that this God of Death must be the Ghost King. At such a long distance, he can still lock-in on the prey… If you want to escape, you can only wait for the next round of safe houses to be announced]

[Not only that, its speed is too fast, if it keeps running like this, maybe a trainee will be caught soon]

After running through the three streets, Tsuchimikado gritted his teeth: “Let’s move separately! This Ghost King is probably after me!”

The Yin-Yang Master was very self-aware. His occupation was to deal with ghosts. The spiritual power in his body was a great supplement to ghosts. Generally, he was the first thing that ghosts needed to resolve in horror dungeons.

It could be said that Tsuchimikado was equivalent to a large-scale supernatural attraction instrument, coupled with his chiefly attributes, of course, this was the first safe house to meet the Ghost King.

In a sense, he felt guilty for dragging down his teammates.

So Tsuchimikado didn’t wait for an answer after saying these words. He turned his heels and ran down another fork in the road.

After running more than ten meters, the Yin-Yang Master looked back.

There was no one behind him.

In the distance, there seemed to be a cold laugh from under the hood, which was quickly concealed by the rustling of  fabric and turned to continue chasing after the Magician.
