Ch133 - Thanks For The Treat

Thanks to the crazy duo, the people on the beach were almost all scared away.

Zong Jiu walked towards the hat with a heavy heart.

Expectant eyes of the clown and the Mad Hatter and the encouraging eyes of Zhuge An all followed behind him, which made him feel a little absurd.

“Wait wait, I forgot something!”

Just when Zong Jiu was about to sit down on the hat, the clown suddenly slapped his head as if remembering something.

He conjured out a thin card from his pocketless clothes and handed it over with a look of anticipation.

“I’m in this instance world~ You’re welcome to come and play with me~”

The clown’s scarlet-painted mouth curved up shyly, and his face covered in white paint displayed a terrifying smile. His cautious tone of afraid of being rejected completely didn’t match, “Of course…you can also use this card to find me to play!”

“Oh, that’s right. And me, this is my instance home’s serial number.”

Immediately after, the Mad Hatter scratched his head and handed over an identical business card, “Tea parties are held there all year round, and I’d love to show you my special Bloody Mary.”

On the business cards, a cartoon clown and a cartoon Mad Hatter grin at him together.

He had to admit that the chibi versions were really much cuter than the real entity.

At the same time, Zong Jiu also received a warm reminder from the system.

[Congratulations to trainee Zong Jiu for obtaining B-rank props X2: Clown and Mad Hatter’s Friendship Cards]

[Prop Use: The world serial numbers of these two ghosts are recorded above, and it will only be delivered to friends who they recognise from the bottom of their hearts. Trainees can use the business cards to summon these two ghosts to the current instance for a limited time of 30 minutes]

[Prop Note: If you are not in a very friendly relationship with the owner of the business card, it is recommended not to try it at will because this item is only for summoning purposes and there is no guarantee that the summoned ghost will be willing to obediently help or break the user’s head instantly. Please be clear.]

Goodness, this was a good thing.

Zong Jiu accepted the business cards very calmly, “Got it, I’ll invite you to play when there is something fun.”

Seeing the Magician accept the business cards, the two of them laughed and high-fived, and there was an impromptu Latin improv dance, which was mixed with sing-songing of “the clown has friends”, “the Mad Hatter’s tea party invitation has finally been sent out” and so on.

The clown and the Mad Hatter gained amusement from the same things as Zong Jiu to a point. They had an extraordinary consistency on that matter. To Zong Jiu, these were two freebie thugs, why not accept it?

The surprise that the crazy duo brought to Zong Jiu was far more than that.

The white-haired young man sat down obediently on the hat.

Perhaps because of how tall and slender it was, this hat almost swallowed Zong Jiu’s entire body in. From the outside, only the hair, a slender waist, and the dangling calves could be seen.

Zong Jiu tried several times but couldn’t adjust his posture. He couldn’t help but look up at the Mad Hatter’s height.

Yup, more than two meters, so it was reasonable for this hat to be so big.

“It’s not a big deal. Once you’re familiar with its height and balance, you’ll be able to stand on it.”

The clown waved his hand indifferently, and gestured to release the hand that was pressing on the brim of his hat, “Are you ready, I’m about to let go~”

Now that the closing time was less than twenty minutes away, Zhuge An gestured to him, telling Zong Jiu to hurry up and not delay.

So Zong Jiu nodded, looking like he was going to face his death.

The next moment, he was dragged to the sky by the hydrogen balloons amid the cheers of the clown and the Mad Hatter.

Perhaps it was because there were too many balloons tied to it, as soon as the clown let go, the hat couldn’t wait to fly from the ground, instantly shooting up several meters and continuing without losing speed. It was more than comparable to a hot air balloon.

[Congratulations to trainee Zong Jiu for obtaining a D-rank prop: Mad Hatter’s Balloon]

[Prop use: There is no other use except being able to fly. Fortunately, it is made by two skilled craftsmen, which endows it with different abilities, such as directional manipulation that ordinary balloon hats cannot do, and the ability to fly higher]

[Prop Note: It can only go up and cannot go down unless the balloon lines are cut off one by one, but doing so may cause the prop to fail. Please pay attention]

To be honest, even if the system stamped and certified that this was a flying prop, it would still raise a strong sense of absurdity after sitting on it.

Not to mention Zong Jiu, even the trainees below, including the audience in the live broadcast room, were all shaken as they watched the performance of Disney’s Little Prince’s escape.

[Damn, I really want to see what the sky is like from the first perspective of the Magician!]

[I also want 55555 since the Magician was caught and then let go by the Ghost King, I can’t enter his live stream room]

[Damn, who doesn’t, I’m now squatting in Boss Zhuge’s personal live stream room and looking up at the sky.jpg]

[Sisters upstairs, cut to the live stream room of the Holy Son to see it more clearly, because the Holy Son is also standing very high!]

[Thank you very much, let’s go!]

Soon, Zong Jiu floated into the sky.

Looking down at the earth from a high place, you could only see the ghosts fires wafting below, and the lamps and lights on the flower beds and the trees blurred together.

In the distance, the sea was connected to the beach, and there were floating light balls on the sea that rose and fell. The place where the sky met the sea was about to break, a flash of white dispelling the gloomy night sky, forcing a line of red clouds to appear.

Sunrise was coming soon.

The white-haired young man raised his head.

Higher up, the Dark Warlock was standing on a hot air balloon.

Beside him, another man shrouded in shadows was hanging lazily on the edge of the gondola, tilting his head and looking at him with a smile.

Zong Jiu immediately became alert and squeezed the playing cards in his hand.

The flying device under him was too rudimentary. If No.1 had bad intentions and manipulated a few puppet threads to cut off his balloon strings, then he would have to change from the flying Little Prince to being forced to land due to love.

But, Zong Jiu’s playing cards were not easy to mess with. Besides, he could still see the trajectory of the puppet threads and could adjust the flight direction of the hat at any time. It wasn’t completely disadvantageous to fight in the air.

Zong Jiu had to get on top of the hot air balloon.

The special clearance task announced by the system was to stand at the top of the entire amusement park. The balloon hat did not belong to the equipment and facilities of the Rainbow Amusement Park, only the hot air balloon was a part of the park’s facility.

Obviously, the Devil also knew his plans.

So Zong Jiu had been on the lookout for his sudden action at any time.

However, the Devil didn’t seem to have any intention of making a move at the moment.

The man kept this posture and smile all the time, watching the white-haired Magician riding the balloon hat, getting closer and closer to him, and even greeted him very leisurely.

“Good morning.”

Zong Jiu pursed his lips.

They looked at each other in the air.

From a tens of meters to a few meters, and finally a short distance away. Still no one made the first move.

Seeing that the white-haired young man did not speak, the Devil simply stretched out his hand.

The hands wrapped under the long sleeves of the suit were vigorous and powerful, and a circle of blazing sunlight leaked from the gloves’ fingertip.

Dark golden eyes with a hint of teasing, saluted him gracefully.

“It is an honor and pleasure to serve you.”

Zong Jiu narrowed his eyes, but he didn’t mean to dodge, he gripped back.

The warm hand and the cold hand were clasped together. Even through a thin layer of leather gloves, it still couldn’t block the eternally unchanging body temperature.

He grabbed the Devil’s hand with force, his heel hooked on the hard edge of the basket, and he jumped toward the basket.

In just a few seconds, the jacket flapped several times in the air.

The young man’s white hair rose like seaweed in the air, playing cards cut through the air, and his bent knees kicked mercilessly towards the man’s chest.

The Devil took two steps back, stretched out his fingers slowly, and fluttered lightly on the foot that Zong Jiu kicked out, and easily stopped the latter’s next movement.

“How upsetting.” He showed a fake expression, “Are you going to get to the main point so soon?”

Zong Jiu didn’t speak, and his attacks became more and more harsh, each move fatal.

At this time, the system also made a broadcast.

[There are still five minutes before the closing time. Trainees, please pay attention and arrange your time reasonably]

Both of them made moves very fast, shaking the narrow hanging basket so much that they could barely stand still.

The Dark Warlock stood there obediently, so quiet it was as if he didn’t exist. The Devil showed some rare chivalry, not fighting 2v1.

But even like this, No. 1’s tricks were still particularly difficult to deal with.

Playing cards and puppet strings burst through the air with sparks. The Devil didn’t intend to fight him head on. Instead, he flitted around like an untouchable shadow, sometimes appearing in the distance, and sometimes his fingers at the Magician’s back, like a hunter teasing his prey. It was irritating.

The trainees below all stared at the heights in horror.

“This… the Magician and the Dark Warlock are fighting up there?”

[The Magician is awesome, he can fight so fiercely with No. 8]

[Being able to fight in such a small hanging basket, I’m really afraid that the balloons will be destroyed]

[Too strong… Everyone knows how strong No. 8 is. Nevermind, I will kneel down to this newcomer first.jpg]

Zong Jiu had no idea about the following discussion.

The Magician bent his right hand toward his wrist and threw the playing cards out flawlessly.

The last three minutes.

Zong Jiu had already made plans in his heart, but his expression was still calm and his feet moved towards the Dark Warlock who had been standing aside.

Final minute.

The Magician ducked back, his back making a graceful arc, dangerously avoiding a puppet string that stabbed at the tip of his nose.

In the shadows beneath him, the man’s low laugh brushed the side of his ear.

A cold hand stretched out from the shadows of the hanging basket and clasped tightly around the white-haired young man’s waist.

Immediately afterwards, the Devil appeared from the shadows, turning the tables, and the puppet string in his hand tied the Magician’s hands together and pressed them to his back.

The last poker card in Zong Jiu’s hand also flew out and stabbed a wooden rope with a thick bowl at the four corners of the hot air balloon.

“crunch-“

The wooden rope snapped with a tooth-aching cracking sound.

The basket began to tilt uncontrollably.

Coincidentally, the Dark Warlock was standing in that corner, while Zong Jiu was at the highest point of the tilted basket.

Exactly, just a few centimeters higher than the Dark Warlock.

This series of incidents all happened in a flash, and before anyone could react, everything was settled.

The system declared the final winner.

[The special clearance mission has ended, the winner: A-rank trainee Zong Jiu]

[The special event Halloween Massacre Escape has ended. Thank you to all the trainees for your participation. The customs clearance rewards will be distributed to the participants’ backpacks, please check]

As soon as the mechanical voice fell, thousands of fireworks exploded over the castle.

Huge fireworks bloomed kaleidoscopes, illuminating the whole seemingly dark sky.

The red sun rose slowly from the horizon, complementing it.

Zong Jiu was heavily pressed to the ground, and his whole body was shrouded in thick shadows.

He raised his head, facing the Devil’s uncertain expression, curled his lips, and revealed a very mocking smile.

“I won.”

The man lowered his head, his long eyes narrowed dangerously.

Fireworks bloom in the distance, and different colors were projected on the Magician’s face, cutting out a dreamlike scene.

Just behind a layer of fabric, there was another completely different temperature.

Bones crunched, blood boiled.

The two pairs of eyes had the same coldness, the same cynicism, and the same fighting spirit.

That feeling came again.

The Devil rubbed the young man’s lips, pressing his lips to the point where they were gorgeous and bloodshot, revealing a pointless lewdness.

A dark fire burned in the icy golden eyes, spreading like a mass of ink that was so thick that it was impossible to see, vicious and sharp. If this scene was witnessed by a bystander, they would be terrified.

Zong Jiu frowned, subconsciously wanting to kick him.

However, just as he was about to move, and he was firmly held down again, like an innocent lamb that a human being tied to an altar and offered to the Devil in the abyss, unable to struggle.

“You did win.”

The man’s voice was hoarse, and his usual casual tone revealed a dangerous and extreme aggression.

“But taking something from the Devil… comes at a price.”

The pale pink eyes of the white-haired youth suddenly widened.

A small bloody opening suddenly appeared on his beautiful neck, like a branding from the Devil for his treasure.

The Devil propped up his upper body and looked at him condescendingly, his fingers slowly wiped the blood on his lips to the tip of his tongue. His eyes narrowed in intoxication, as if he was tasting a bottle of old and fragrant red wine.

No, it should be said that it was sweeter and mellower than any bottle of wine he had ever drunk, making people… linger.

He half-smiled and spoke with a provocative tone, “Thanks for treat.”

Behind the hot air balloon, fireworks were still blooming tirelessly in the amusement park.

The colorful fireworks merged all the colors into a ball and entangled them fiercely between the night and dawn.
