"We are going shopping after our meal!" The loud declaration echoed in the silent room, making them stare at the woman who had just spoken.

Yvonne was left speechless when she heard what her mother had just announced with such vigor and enthusiasm.

'I was worried that something had happened!' She scowled at the woman who had given her a scare earlier.

The little girl had been trying to decipher what she had done wrong which gave her mother the impression that her health had been at risk.

All she did was to train and then study so she had not found anything wrong with what her daily schedule entailed.

So she had given up on trying to comprehend what she had done wrong and this was when she heard the loud and stringent words of her mother who seemed adamant about getting what she desired.

"Why?" The little girl was confused and this question was all she could come up with.

Rutherford had also been stunned ever since he heard his wife's solution to the problem which she had informed him about last night.

'So her solution for Vonna to not overwork herself is to drag her out in this hot afternoon to go shopping?' He rolled his eyes while ridiculing her way of solving this issue.

It was already warm and sunny outside and his child had just spent hours out in the early morning sun during her training.

This made the Earl anxious as Yvonne could easily get a heat stroke if she ventured outside and thus he turned his now stern eyes towards his wife to refute her decisions.

While the adults were facing each other off in a staring contest, the little girl groaned in her heart.

'She wants to take me out since she is worried about my health but the only thing that can harm me is if I go outside the estate grounds!' She cried out when she realized this strange logic of hers which was now conflicting with Raylene's wishes.

Rutherford's glares soon melted away under his wife's teary-eyes and her soft pink lips which were jutted out at him.

To ensure that her husband let her do as she pleased, Raylene went as far as to flutter her lashes at him and gently bit her lip to show that she was adamant about doing what she had declared.

Yvonne had been expecting her father's support against Raylene however when she saw how he had given up within a few seconds, she sneered at him in her heart.

'Do all men think with their dicks!? One soft look and he melted away! Think about your child, mister!' She scowled as she shot him nasty glares.

These aggravated expressions had been ignored as the happy couple was gazing into each other's eyes and a warm and cozy air soon surrounded them.

'Don't make me retch the food I just ate!' Yvonne scoffed out loud as she looked away from them.

She was aware of her parent's healthy love life thanks to the information that Mrs. Jacinth had given her in regards to why Paula, Raylene's personal maid, had been sent to the Lower Hall.

This did not mean that she needed to watch the live show of their sickeningly sweet love life taking place right before her eyes.

Hearing the snort that their child had let out, the parents finally realized that there was someone else inside the room and stopped shooting sultry looks at each other.

Rutherford went back to eating his meal as though he had done nothing wrong and the only person who was red in shame was the Countess as she coughed to hide her embarrassment.

'Now you know how to be shy!?' The little girl's head was lowered as she gazed at her half-empty plate yet her thoughts were mocking her mother who did not know how to control her emotions while others were around.

Raylene was oblivious to the derisive thoughts inside her daughter's mind so she glimpsed at the little girl who was finishing her meal as though nothing was wrong.

Once she had regained her composure, she turned towards her and smiled.

"Be prepared to go shopping after we are done with the meal." She informed and then giggled before concentrating on the food remaining on her plate.

Yvonne decided to try her luck one last time and turned her sad and pleading eyes towards the master of the house without whose permission no one could enter or exit the estate.

'This is your last chance to redeem your dwindling image in my heart.' She threatened as she narrowed her bright amethyst eyes at this man she called her father.

Much to her chagrin, Rutherford smiled at her and then gave his wife an indulging glance before returning to the food on his plate.

The disappointed look in her eyes faded away after a few seconds as she continued to grit her baby teeth at the man who switched sides according to where his profit laid.

For the past few days, he had been good in Yvonne's eyes which made him jump towards the side where his wife stood so that he might gain some brownie points from her.

He had succeeded in winning his wife over, as she had decided to give him a loving present once she got back home after her little shopping spree with their daughter.

Thus, Yvonne was led back to her room, utterly defeated and left with no other option but to accompany her mother to the place where she desired to visit.

Soon her nanny dressed her up for her outing with the Madam of the mansion.

'Do I have to?' The little girl whined as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

Today, she had worn an all-black dress that reached her ankles and was sporting cute little silver pumps which were made to accentuate the black shade of the dress.

Mrs. Jacinth tied the hair at the crown of her head in a bun and let the other half to cascade over her shoulders.

When Rutherford and Raylene witnessed the little girl walking in their direction, they could only stand and stare at her with their mouths gaping wide.

"Shall we leave?" Yvonne inquired once she had reached their position.

The Master had been standing by his wife's side as they awaited their daughter's arrival so that he might see them off before they left the house.

'I would have missed her adorable appearance if I had stayed inside my office!' Rutherford cheered for the excellent choice he had made of seeing them off.

Though he had some files and business that needed his urgent attention, he had decided to first make sure that his family left the house safely and he was happy to have made that choice.

Raylene could not stop gushing over her daughter who looked like an angel masquerading in those impish black clothes.

While Raylene and Rutherford were busy gawking at the result of their collective efforts, the little child was focusing her sights somewhere else.

'So her punishment has ended?' Yvonne wondered as she narrowed her eyes at the woman who was standing behind Raylene with her head lowered.
