'Banshee!' Yvonne scowled once the door of the carriage was pulled open.

She had taken the entire view of the incident by peeping through the window and was now aware of the person who had screamed her lungs out.

Rutheford smiled when the first person he saw upon opening the door was his beloved child who had been out for the entire afternoon.

The sun was now shying away as it hid beyond the horizon, bringing with it the darkness that would soon descend over the land.

Yvonne behaved like the docile and obedient child she was and stretched her arms out to him.

'I need to get on his good side so that he supports me later on.' She concluded and promptly shot a wide smile at the man who stood outside the carriage door.

The Earl did not keep his daughter waiting for long as he leaned forward and carried her in his arms.

Once she was secure with her arms wrapped around his neck for support, he turned his eyes towards the woman who sat on the other side of the carriage.

The guilt of not having kept a watchful eye over her daughter which caused her to be missing for quite a while made the Countess unable to meet his eyes.

Rutherford found it strange that his wife had averted her eyes when they had made contact but decided that they could figure this out once they went back inside the mansion.

"Come, Ray." He uttered with his hand stretched out in her direction.

Raylene nodded her head while keeping her gaze down at the floor of the carriage and accepted his hand.

The Earl yanked her towards him and held her waist with his other hand and brought both the mother and daughter out of the carriage that they had been stuck inside until now.

The cause of their delay, the woman who had blocked their way out was now standing beside Butler Limo with her head lowered.

The old butler had a sour look on his face as though he felt disgusted just by standing next to this maid who did not know her place in this mansion.

Yvonne was keen to observe the minute changes in his expressions and found the situation to be quite amusing.

'So the little maid has high dreams and aspirations? This will be fun to watch in the future.' She snickered as she shook her head.

The child who clung to her father's neck was giggling in glee which made the man think that she was having fun and was in a pleasant mood.

Raylene moved away from her husband once her feet were secure on the ground below.

'Did I do something wrong?' Rutherford gazed at her with confusion apparent in his eyes.

He was not aware of what he had done to upset his wife but soon a thought came to his mind which made him narrow his eyes.

'Is she upset about what I had said before they left?' He wondered and believed that this was the reason for her distant attitude.

He shook his head at this young woman who was throwing a tantrum like a child while the real child sat obediently in his arms.

'I will deal with her when we get back to our room.' He smirked after he had decided this to be the next step on his agenda.

He knew what was the perfect thing to coax his wife who was mad at him for such a silly thing.

Yvonne was least bothered or affected by the little scheme that her father was cooking up as she was busy staring at the horse who had made his way out here.

"Demon!" She called out to the etcher and the beast was more than happy to come closer to her.

Raylene took a step away from the horse who was moving in their direction.

On the other side, even Paula did not hesitate to use Butler Limo as a body shield as she hid behind him in fear of the huge beast.

Rutherford stared at the etcher with the same blank yet fierce gaze while the child in his arms leaned towards it.

He was quick to hold her tight in his arms as Yvonne had almost tipped over when she tried to reach her arms out towards the horse.

Demon did not wish for his master to take any troubles and hence he came close enough so that she might touch him.

'Almost fell to the ground there!' The little girl sighed as she patted the etcher's head.

Rutherford was taller than most men in the Kingdom but even he could not compare to the height of the monstrous etcher who was a whole head taller than him.

However, the height was not a problem for the little girl who took the seat in his arms and had the etcher lower his head for her.

Yvonne had her fair share of fun petting the etcher before Rutherford decided that she had enough for the day.

The disgruntled pet had no choice but to be pitiful as he watched his master being carried away from him.

His narrowed and leering eyes fell on the back of the man who was distancing his master from him but he could not act against him as that would mean that he was ignoring his master's wishes.

However, his animosity towards Rutherford was alleviated by a tiny portion when he saw that the little girl in the man's arms had turned around to wave at him before she disappeared from his sight.

Having no purpose left here after his master had gone inside, Demon decided that he would spend his leisure time in the woods behind the mansion.

Raylene was held in her husband's arms and made to walk next to him as they entered the house without bothering about the servants.

Once the family of three had entered the mansion and the etcher had gone on his merry way, the maid had finally decided to move out of the safe refuge that she had taken behind the Butler.

Butler Limo scoffed as he watched the woman pat her chest and tried to catch her breath which she had forgotten thanks to the huge beast.

"What was that monster?" She muttered to herself as she shuddered while thinking of how close it had come towards her.

The huge body coupled with the dangerous eyes which were the color of the crimson blood scared her enough to get nightmares for the next few weeks.

Butler Limo frowned when he heard the demeaning description that the maid had used for his young Miss's new pet.

'Demon is just a little rough around the corners! He is not a monster!' He scowled at the maid who did not know what she was talking about.

He had been serving the new pet which was now under the protection of his young miss.

Therefore he did not like it when he heard the haughty maid call the etcher 'a monster'.

"Why is such a big, ugly horse in our mansion?" Paula turned towards the butler once she had calmed herself to the best of her abilities.

The choice of her words made the Butler raise his eyebrows at her.

'Our mansion?' He smirked as he took a step closer to her.
