In a realm far away from Yvonne's world sat a man by the window as he stared at the purple sky which glimmered with the lights of numerous planets that drifted along in the vast emptiness.

A cup of wine in his hand moved to his lips and a silent gulp of the fermented drink entered his mouth, flowing down his throat.

Those pink lips curved at the taste that assaulted his senses and he glanced at the crimson liquid in his glass.

"No wonder he is the God of fruit and wine." A languid voice arose in the dark room that provided him with a better viewing experience of the beautiful planets below.

Wine and a good view, this was his dream from eons ago.

Not too many things had changed except for the person with whom he shared his dreams with.

'He is off on a vacation with his disciple while I am left alone…' He scoffed but in truth, it was a sigh for being left uninvited.

But how could he even expect to be invited when he was hated by his old friend.

'Asmo…' Another pained sigh left his soft lips before his senses heightened after noticing something or rather someone.

"Master?" A subservient and beseeching voice appeared from the entrance of the room.

The man lounging on the couch didn't have to turn around to recognize his own disciple who had arrived in this realm.

"Hmm..." He let out a hum and in the next moment, the disciple was kneeling before him.

The man remained in his reclining posture and glanced at the young man almost prostrate before him.

"What news do you have for me?" The man interrogated as his eyes narrowed.

His golden eyes which resembled a snake's was a stark contrast to his silver hair which reflected the light falling on them from the window.

The disciple bowed before his master, Neopolene Del Kramus, the God of wisdom and knowledge before he raised his head.

Neo nodded in acceptance of this greeting furrowing his brows which indicated his impatience.

He had sent his disciple to a different realm for a task and now awaited the reports which would need his scrutiny.

The young man before him looked as though he was in his early twenties when in fact, he was more than a million years old.

His thick black hair blended with the dark room and accentuated the brightness of his fluorescent green eyes, making it look as though they glowed in the dark.

The dimly-lit room hid his facial features but if logic was followed then he was also one with godly beauty and ethereal glow.

"Yether reports to his Master." The same mesmerizing voice from earlier echoed in the room.

Neo did not react to him and let him convey the report he had.

"Master, the first mission has been completed without any impediments." Yether announced which brought a smile to Neo's face but it soon faded.

"The second failed?" He interrogated based on the implications of his disciple's statement.

A certain unseen pressure enveloped the room which caused the young disciple to cower and choke as he was having a hard time withstanding it.

"Speak!" Neo commanded, ignoring his pitiable appearance.

Yether was left with no choice but to grit his teeth and finish reporting to his Master if he wished to live for another day.

"I was… in-interrupted by another... human before they could fall for my e-enchantment." He stuttered and stammered to get the message across.

The pressure made him feel as though he was being strangled and felt his throat close down.

Though he was also an immortal, he did feel pain especially if it was being inflicted by someone of a higher rank like his Master.

His fluorescent eyes glistened with tears due to the lack of airflow and they began to dim as time passed.

Just as he was on the verge of losing his consciousness, Yether's lungs were filled with a surge of air.

Coughing and choking with the sudden assault of air that filled his lungs, the disciple dropped further to the floor as he tried to control his breathing.

Neo watched the pitiful state his disciple was in and snapped his fingers.

All sounds in the room vanished and Yether looked up with gratitude to his Master.

He no longer experienced that pain in his chest which was making him miserable and all of this was possible with just a snap of his Master's fingers.

"Next time you fail a mission…" Neo no longer continued after observing the fear in his disciple's eyes.

Yether nodded with both anxiety and reverence for the words coming out of his Master's mouth.

He had given this foolish disciple two tasks but only one was completed while the other had failed midway.

Having taught him a proper lesson, he decided to stop and move on to see what could be done now.

"Now tell me what happened." The god commanded and received his answer instantly.

The disciple began narrating about how he had sneaked into the world that the God of Flight and thunder had created as a means to play out the script he had written to compete against his Master, Neo.

The first task was quite simple since he did not have much to do as the foundations of the task had already been laid.

"All I had to do was enchant her to pay close attention to the boy." He explained how he had achieved his task.

The people Yether had been talking about were none other than Glennise Brodie and Prince Fritzen Rosenhyde.

He had been ordered to make the daughter of the Duke fall head over heels for the Prince and that was exactly what he had done.

Though he did not have to work hard as the little girl was already enamored by the young Prince's kindness and care for his sister.

She did not have any siblings and looking and the Royal siblings interact each day made her long for such care and love as well.

When Yether had arrived in that world, he was met with the sight of the Brodie girl staring at the interaction between the Prince and Princess in the Pavilion.

This disciple of Neo's had the power of enchantment or better yet, of hypnotism.

The person would never realize that they had fallen in a hypnotic trance as that would become their very nature as time went by.

This power, a very insignificant portion of which he had used on the girl who began seeing the Prince in a new light.

Only the girl was at the center of his powerful magic and would start falling for the little Prince but her feelings would never be reciprocated.

This oddity was thanks to the presence of the other little girl, the Prince's fated lover about whom the God of Flight and thunder had written in his story.

'For those two main leads to have a compelling love story, we need powerful obstructions on their path to glory.' His Master had shared his wisdom based on which he had made his move.

Once Glennise was affected by his magic then she would most certainly fall for the Prince and fall for him hard.

Sadly, Prince Fritzen would soon only have his lady love, Hilda in his eyes and would scorn the Duke's daughter which would further incense her and cause all of the entertaining plot points that the script needed.

With this thought in mind, Neo had summoned his disciple who had been away for training and had given him this task.

At the moment when Glennise succumbed to the powerful magic he had cast on her, his first task came to an end.

To celebrate the completion of his first task, he had even let out a victorious snigger before vanishing from the pavilion where the Royal siblings and the playmates were seated.

However, he could not return to his Master just yet.

Yether then had to bide his time for the perfect moment to come to pass before he could achieve the second task.

The task of placing budding feelings inside the hearts of a certain side villainess and a secondary character was also handed over to him.

"But that maid interrupted my enchantment which disrupted the flow of my magic between the two children, Master." Yether gritted his teeth at the thought of the old maid who sabotaged his task.

The fatal flaw in his magic was that it would mean nothing if it wasn't cast entirely.

Once the flow is wrecked then it would take him a long time to reinforce the magic that was left incomplete.

Mrs. Jacinth, the old maid in Yether's narration had done just that.

Her interference not only disrupted the flow of magic for her Young Miss but also the other boy who was supposed to be trapped in the magic with her.

Once his narration had ended, the disciple lowered his head, causing his glowing eyes to lower which brought darkness back to the room.

"The story will be fine as long as the main villainess awakens." His Master spoke up after his long silence.

"No matter what…" He chuckled in his usual languid tone while staring out the window at the various worlds that he had created.

Worlds that were just like the one Yether had returned from, following a book that was written by another great god just like him.

Thinking of his friend who attempted to write one for the first time, he raised his glass in a toast before he completed his sentence.

"… Fate shall always take its course." Neo's ominous words echoed before fading away.
