Yvonne remained in the Parlor with her father as she stared at the bank card in her hand.

She held the card which she knew nothing about and soon raised her head towards the man who could enlighten her.

'There is much in this world that I know nothing about.' She expressed her lack of knowledge and also her desire to change this.

Once the Baron had left, the room just had the father and child.

Rutherford glanced sideways at his daughter and then saw how she stared at the card in her hand then at him.

"That card was issued by the Royal Bank." He began his explanation which he had promised her earlier.

The Royal Bank was founded by one of the Previous Kings of the Rosenhyde family and has been the main bank present in the Capital city of Amarthea.

The King did not mind if the fiefs had their own banks for their residents as long as a portion of the amount stored in it was given to the Royal family as tax.

Even the St. Claire fief had a bank of their own which was managed by Rutherford and his aides which paid taxes to the Royal Throne on regular intervals.

Yvonne nodded her head as she paid attention to his explanation of how the financial sector of this Kingdom functioned.

'He is a better teacher at this when compared to the Marquess.' She noted and this was true as one was a successful businessman while the other was a history tutor.

Marquess Samed might teach her the concepts based on an economics textbook but the knowledge she gained from her father was through his years of experience surviving in this field.

'Experience is always the best teacher in life.' Grandpa Leo's lesson once again came to her mind when she thought of this difference in the two men's way of teaching.

Rutherford smiled at his attentive child and then pointed his finger at the card in her hands.

"This card will be your identification needed to access the money that Baron MacIntyre has saved in your name." He revealed the main reason why such a card was required.

Unlike what Yvonne had been thinking, one could not just swipe this card at any store in the Commercial District to pay for an item they have purchased.

They could only use this card at the Royal Bank to withdraw the money when they pleased just by showing this card as their proof of identity.

'Tsk! Isn't that an extra trip to the bank each time I need money?' She scoffed at the lacking technology in this world which she disliked at times like this.

First, she had to live without the comfort of an Air conditioner to save her from this awful heat and now she was told that she could not just swipe her card at any store she wished.

"What is the use of such a card when I cannot use it at the store directly?" She questioned her father, grumpy with her cheeks puffed up.

Rutherford chuckled at her adorable face and then patted her head once again.

"You can just send a servant over to the Bank and they could also fetch your money for you. You do not have to personally go there." He disclosed new information which quelled a small part of her displeasure.

There were numerous branches of the Royal Bank in the Commercial District for the convenience of the citizens where one could withdraw money at any time.

"Instead of traveling with large amounts with you, all you have to do is ask a servant to get the coins for you." He added to placate her.

The little girl nodded but there was something else bothering her now.

'I cannot keep sending Mrs. Jacinth out to fetch money.' She grumbled when she thought of her old nanny's weak knees.

This brought up another thought that she had forgotten until now.

'I need to find a proper aide to help me run errands and also to help with my business in the future.' She sighed as another new problem had popped up.

When Marquess Samed had suggested she find an aide to assign tasks to, she had agreed and decided to find one in the future.

'I need this aide to be the perfect, loyal person who will never even think of betraying me.' She declared but finding such a person was not an easy task.

Hence, she had put that task on hold, and only now did she remember that she had yet to find such a person.

On the other hand, Rutherford could not decipher the reason for her sigh which had caused him to wonder what was wrong with his daughter.

"If you are worried about the amount in the bank card then we can ask Butler to find out for us." He proposed with a smile.

The concerned father had assumed that she was worried about the amount she received which would act as her monthly allowance.

'If the amount is less then I can add more money to it.' He decided yet remained tight-lipped about his doting gesture.

But if it was truly less, then the Earl would have to have a proper talk with the Baron for shortchanging his daughter out of the profit that she deserved.

Seeing how Yvonne did not express her objection to his suggestion, Rutherford called his Butler who was also one of his faithful aides.

"Find out how much is in this card and every other detail about it." He ordered when the Butler entered the room.

Yvonne watched as once again she was at the sidelines and people were doing as they pleased around her.

'I miss having the authority to order people around.' She lamented the times where she could make the people in her company run to complete the tasks she had assigned them.

She was not an oppressive, power-hungry person but she loved the thought of having control of things around her which she lacked at this moment.

'Is that what that Blue bird meant when he punished me by sending me into this world?' She pondered about his reasons for doing so.

However, she was grossly wrong about the truth hidden behind that God's actions which had changed her life.

While Butler Limo would be gone to fetch information about the card, there was silence in the room as the two people inside were lost in their thoughts.

Yvonne was still thinking about the issue concerning the aide that she needed to find for herself and her business when she heard the door being knocked.

'It has barely been ten minutes and he is back already?' She expressed her surprise by widening her eyes at the man who entered the room.

Butler Limo bowed before the Master and Young Miss at his return and then handed over the card with a file to his Master.

Rutherford accepted them and then glanced over the paper that had also been given with the card.

'Hmmm… So the card is indeed in Vonna's name.' He nodded as he read the contents of the paper.

According to this paper sent by the Royal Bank, the card belonged to Yvonne St. Claire, daughter of Earl Rutherford St. Claire.

The card was gifted by Baron Quinn MacIntyre and the first deposit was also made by him.

"Twelve banknotes." He read out loud the amount that was now under Yvonne's name.

The little girl was the only one who had her eyes wide open at this announcement as the other two men were already aware of this truth.

"T-twelve!?" She inquired with skepticism and shock apparent in her voice.

'Are you sure that it's not two banknotes?' She blinked her stunned eyes at the paper and froze when she saw the number twelve written on it as well.

How could she not be surprised after noticing this when she knew how much that meant in the currency of this world?

In Rosenhyde, copper coins were the least denomination of coins circulated in the Kingdom.

Next came silver and then gold coins.

Finally came the largest denomination which was called Banknotes.

Right now, Yvonne St. Claire was the proud owner of twelve such banknotes which she had never imagined she would earn just from the profit from the sales of cupcakes.

'Just how many cupcakes did that Baron sell?' She scowled at the thought of the number of cupcakes sold for her to obtain such a large amount just from 30% of its profit.
