Hours passed after the siblings had returned to their rooms to spend time as they wished.

The Earl and Countess too decided to spend some couples time together until it was time for lunch.

The family of four was reunited after a long period so their meal was nothing short of a feast prepared in celebration of the Young Master's return.

While eating, Yvonne was busy thinking of how she would make the grand reveal of the sword she had been gifted.

'Should I show him with the box or just flash the sword before him?' She pondered on which one would be better.

She then ran various simulations in her head on how she would break this news to him that she had started proper swords training which might surprise him.

On the other hand, the young boy was making small talk with his father who wished to learn more about his Academy life.

Raylene was already aware of these matters as they had met recently and caught up so she let the father and son bond while they ate.

The meal came to an end with Howard explaining how their classes were transitioning to a higher level with each month and thus his workload was increasing.

The family then moved to the Parlor to continue their conversation and this was where the proud parents began narrating all the endeavors that their daughter had accomplished.

Howard had heard about his sister aiding the Baron's cafe but he did not know that it would turn out to be such a profitable move.

The surprise on his face was great when she revealed to him how much she now had in the bank card that Baron MacIntyre had gifted her.

'That is enough for a commoner to live ten years without any qualms.' He surmised but it would not last a nobleman two months of luxurious living.

With this, the father then explained how the little girl had also helped the Kingdom by proposing the various ideas which the Marquess relayed to the King.

"The King knows of her ideas?" Howard was once again left speechless at this revelation.

"He doesn't know that it is my idea." Yvonne corrected his misunderstanding but sighed when she saw the confused frown on his face.

'A repeat…' She decided and explained to him in the same way that she had done to her parents and the Marquess.

"So you want to do a charitable deed while remaining anonymous?" He inquired and received a nod that he had gotten her point on the first try.

Rutherford chuckled as he too had the same expression of disbelief when he first heard her saying this.

But when he thought of the attention she might gain from everyone, he was glad that she had chosen to stay back in the shadows.

The after-lunch tea time ended with the family discussing the new changes that Rutherford had ordered for the fief under the suggestions of his daughter.

Yvonne smiled when she was commended for her forethought and planning and hence did not notice the contemplative look on her brother's face.

There were multiple thoughts in his head along with questions that she needed to answer him soon.

'When we meet in the evening…' He remembered the plan they had made to meet for a sparring match later.

The suspicious thoughts in his head coupled with everything that he had heard only made him eager to obtain some proper answers.

Thus, when their time together ended, the young boy returned to his room with numerous thoughts swirling in his head.

This time, Yvonne did not accompany him as she had to visit the Piano Room to practice earlier than usual.

'I will be busy in the evening with Howard so I shall complete this right now.' She decided to alter her schedule to accommodate her new plans with her elder brother.

Roselie escorted her to the Piano Room and returned after an hour had come to an end.

The little girl had gotten a lot of work done in this one hour and the joy of fulfillment was visible on her face.

"Miss looks happy today." The new maid smiled when she glanced at the satisfied look on the little girl's face.

'Miss must be happy that Young Master has returned.' She assumed as this was the only aspect that she could think of.

However, Yvonne's reason for being pleased was the progress she had made in her piano skills.

'Only a few are remaining.' She recalled the half-empty folder which Governess Lester had given as a condition to end their classes.

Therefore, she vowed to work harder each day and conclude their classes at the earliest.

'This way I can get more free time and concentrate on other important things.' She decided as she had yet to think of the business empire she wished to build up in this Kingdom.

It was two in the afternoon when Roselie and Yvonne returned to her bedroom.

The maid helped her Miss out of her clothes and then tucked her into bed for her afternoon siesta.

"Sleep well, Miss." Roselie chirped as she turned out the lights and then left the room.

The heat of the summer season was beginning to fade, indicating that the seasons might soon change.

The sultry weather of the afternoon was still present which proved that the humidity in the air had risen.

'Dehumidifier, oh how I miss you~!' She yearned for the technology that she had been highly dependent on in her previous life.

Sleep found her soon and in no time she was lost in the land of dreams.

Though her sleep was easy to find, the same could not be said for the dream that she was having right now.

Repeated flashes of a stormy night with thunder striking every so often was all she could see but there was an ominous feeling in her heart.

She continued to toss and turn, as her subconscious body was trying to alert her about a strange and uneasy premonition.

Being plagued by this dream, the little girl's forehead was now beaded with large droplets of sweat as a deep frown set on her face.

__

Standing in the corner of a large yet dark room, the little girl's eyes roamed around but she could not see much due to the darkness that shrouded the room in the dead of the night.

'I can't see a thing!' Yvonne groaned and rubbed her eyes but it did nothing to help her.

She knew that she was dreaming as this room was one she had never seen before today.

Her mind was still sharp as she knew she had just fallen asleep so this was the only possible explanation for what she was experiencing right now.

However, it seemed as though her grumbling thoughts were heard by a deity as the room was illuminated but just for a few seconds.

Lightning flashed through the window a few seconds before the loud roars of thunder echoed in the silent room.

In the constant flickering natural light of the lightning, Yvonne could faintly discern the room she was standing in.

The remote and dark corner she was in gave her the view of the entire room and this was when she caught sight of someone else present here with her.

On the huge bed at the other side of the room from where she stood was a figure laid covered under the sheets.

She could make out that whoever it was, was trembling in fear as the sounds of two rows of teeth chattering against each other reached her ears.

The little girl could not make out who it was under those sheets but she was sure that this person was terrified of the lightning and the thunder.

This conviction was due to the fact that each time thunderstruck, the figure would whimper and sob while curling further into a ball right in the center of the huge bed.

'Who are you, scaredy-cat?' Yvonne rolled her eyes as she stepped towards the bed.

She had no clue why she was having such a strange dream but this did not stop her from being curious.

When her feet reached the side of the bed, her back was against the window through which the light from the lightning poured into the room.

Her tiny shadow was distorted, making it seem longer and scarier than her real size due to the light falling on her from behind.

However, she was not scared by her own shadow that fell onto the figure laid on the bed.

Stretching her hand out, she reached out to grab the end of the sheets that were covering the person laying on the bed when she froze.

"H-help…"

A weak whisper was heard in the now silent room, prompting Yvonne to continue her actions to catch a glimpse of this person calling out for her help.
