Valerian had cast a spell a bit too quickly. Outside the room in the corridor a few noble children were humiliating Lilian, the lady was kneeling on the floor, and her hair were already in disarrangement.
A group of five people was standing in front of her, and the leader of this group was looking down on her with a condescending gaze. His hand was stretched out to snatch the veil away from her face while Lilian was trying to defend herself.
The sudden wind blade flew through the void letting out a buzzing noise, the young boy was experienced and took his hand back. He cast a glare over to Valerian and Ashlyn.
He asked in a cold manner, “Who are you to meddle in my business?”
Valerian did not reply to him and walked over to Lilian’s side, gently helped her stand up and said, “You do not have to worry with me around here, Teacher.”
Lilian had tears dripping down her face. She did not raise her head, or more like she did not dare to. She did not want to look at the faces of the noble children in front of her, and she did not want Valerian to find her in such an embarrassing situation.
She did not want to see his eyes reflect her humiliated self. She was shivering from fear and disgust. The people made her feel disgusted of her own existence.
Valerian wanted to console her, but the young man asked again, “Are you ignoring me you bast...”
His words had yet to complete when Valerian cast a spell, “Globus Ferreus.”

He did not cast a simple ball, but ten small balls, all the size of a human fist appeared in in void, and after a momentary pause, Valerian marked the five boys as the target to be attacked by the balls. His actions were quick and decisive, he did not even care about what the other party has to say.
The young man did not expect such a thing to happen to him, while he was about to dodge the attacks, the cold voice sounded again, “Terra Liga.”
The people were immobilized, however, they were still able to put up struggle and magic spells and dodge the attacks. However, was Valerian so kind to stop just at this.
He took out his knife, and Ashlyn came over from the side and said, “You do not have to worry, I will help you.”
She was really effected by what Valerian had said just a few minutes ago, she did not want to turn back into that arrogant self. The thing was that she was pampered and loved by all the people in her life. She had developed an illusion that everything in this world must be as she wants it to be. She was only twelve just now, and came to the academy an year ago.
The people here were the same, they did all that she would ask them, and that day when she crossed paths with Valerian was the first time she was reprimanded. She had written a letter to her mother in anger, but she was not a fool, she had noticed the back bitching and the fear mentioned by this boy earlier in her friends.
When they talked just now, she realized that she has been taking everything for granted. She did not want Valerian to look down on her, and looking at how pitiful and weak Lilian looked, she decided to step forward.
Ashlyn was a pampered girl, but her heart was not made of stone. She has grown up watching her sister helping the others, and how those people showered her with love and blessings, she wanted to be like that, but she was spoiled and things came easy to her.
However, she was not someone who would harm the weak, earlier she only taunted Lilian because she was teaching Valerian. This boy was her rival, and she thought this was a good method of revenge, but things turned out to be quite the opposite of her expectations.
Valerian heard her offer and shook his head, he said, “I will deal with them on my own, can you please hold on to teacher?”
The girl nodded and supported Lilian carefully. Valerian looked at the people who were dealing with the metal balls. He took back the balls and said, “Micare.”
A flash of light, right front of their eyes, made the people blind, their eyes were filled with sparkling light, they were technically blind, Valerian charged forward and chopped the back of their necks. The people fainted. Despite being arrogant, these noble children were nothing more than grade four mages and warriors.
After they fainted, Valerian said, “Your Highness, can I ask you to tie them up?”
Ashlyn nodded and cast the vine bind spell for the five people. Valerian used his wind knife and stripped the people naked before tying them up with the vines. The teachers in the art pavilion came out and were gathered together to see what was going on, they were surprised to see the two children helping Lilian.
A lady with slight fat on her face, came forward to embrace Lilian. Ashlyn did not say anything as this situation was too odd for her. She had never seen someone humiliated to be loved. She turned her attention at Valerian and asked, “What will you do with them?”
Valerian said coldly, “Since they like to humiliate others than it is time for them to learn their lesson. Learn how it feels to be placed in front os so many scrutinizing and judgmental gazes. Do not worry.”
Then he looked at the staff and said, “You do not have to wory, if someone looks for trouble with you, then you call me. Do not hesitate, understood?”
Ashlyn also nodded and said, “You can look for me too.”
The people nodded, they never thought that a prince would stand in front of them and claim to be a wall. If it was any other occasion they would not have trusted him, but today they had saved Lilian, and that too in front of their own eyes. They were wary but they still nodded.
Valerian dragged the five people out of the art pavilion, by now, it was already night and human activity was scarce. He said, “You go ahead, and check if their is any patrolling team. I will follow you. If you find anyone, then you scream, and if they ask you what happened, then just say you were scared by a bat.”
Ashlyn nodded and took the lead. Valerian followed her with a distance of a few ten meters. They did not find any patrol till they reached the square. In the center of the square their was a huge pole, the silver-haired boy quickly hung the five boys from the pole and then approached Ashlyn.
He was about to say something when they heard footsteps. It would be troublesome if they were caught, Valerian took a gamble, he quickly embraced the princess and cast the shadow displacement spell without using the incantation.
They disappeared from their position and when they appeared, it was already near the wood mage tower. Valerian let go of the lady and said, “I beg your pardon, your highness, but this was the only way I could get us away from there.”
The girl was shocked, this guy just took her first hug. However, she did not want to be the embarrassed one and nodded, though her voice was a bit shaky, as she asked, “How come we appeared here?”
She did not miss this detail, however, since Valerian did not use any verbal incantation, she could not tell that it was a spell. The boy was surprised for a moment, he regained his composure and said, “I had a treasure to teleport once. I never thought I would have to use it for such a lousy matter.”
The girl nodded and asked, “Are you not worried that they will make trouble?”
Valerian shook his head and said, “You do not understand the noble people yet, it seems. They will never reveal the fact that someone younger than them beat them up and hung them naked.”
Ashlyn nodded, she said, “Very well then. Your Highness Valerian, it is quiet late, I will take my leave.”
Valerian nodded and was about to leave when the lady asked, “How about I accompany you to the art pavilion tomorrow? I have to take dance lessons and since I am grounded from classes, I have nothing else to do, what do you think?”
The young boy stopped and then thinking about it. He nodded, and after wishing her a good night he went back to the battlemage tower. During the entire time Fortuna had been sitting on his head like she ever existed.
She let out a meow, when they came inside, and Valerian said, “I know you are hungry your highness, come, the dinner has been served.”
The kitten purred in delight, as if showing her satisfaction with his performance. Valerian placed her down near the magic vessel and ate his meal, but his mind was working on how to deal with the chaos in the morning. He did not even notice that the girl who was dead set on killing him yesterday had acknowledged him tonight.
